I've dined at multiple CAVA locations throughout the DFW metroplex and have never experienced the level of disrespect I encountered today at this location. My daughters and I went in for a casual lunch, but what we experienced from Wade the manager on duty was unacceptable, disappointing, and deeply disheartening. From the moment we approached the counter, Wade's attitude toward us was cold and dismissive. My daughter began ordering her bowl and asked for supergreens. When she added white rice afterward, he sharply replied, "That's going to be extra that's why I asked you." She explained that no one has ever said that to her before, and she eats at CAVA weekly. His tone was rude and unnecessarily confrontational from the start, and it was clear that his attitude wasn't just a one-off. My second daughter received the same unpleasant treatment, and when it was my turn to order, he snapped at me in the same way. I asked for salad, rice, and black lentils, and again he pointed out the upcharge with the same hostile tone. I acknowledged it and moved on, but the entire interaction left us all feeling unwelcome. What really struck me was what happened next. As we sat down to eat, I intentionally observed how Wade interacted with other customers and the contrast was undeniable. He continued to be curt and uninviting with other non-Black patrons. However, when two Black women (not together) came in at different times, his demeanor completely changed. He greeted them warmly, smiled, and treated them with kindness and attentiveness exactly how every customer should be treated. The difference in his behavior based on race was crystal clear, and honestly, it was painful to witness. Once we finished eating, I went to the register and asked for the manager, only to be told that Wade himself was the manager. I respectfully shared how disrespected I felt by the way he treated my daughters and me. Rather than listening or apologizing, he smirked, laughed, and said, "I don't care this isn't my only job." I reminded him that without customers, there wouldn't be a job but he just laughed again. As a business professional, mother, and paying customer, I was appalled not just by the treatment we received, but by the blatant disregard for customer service and basic human decency. Wade's behavior was unprofessional, and to be honest, discriminatory. It's painful to say, but there is no other way to describe it. In light of the current state of the world, if CAVA chooses to ignore this complaint, it will speak volumes about what the company truly stands for. I hope management pulls the video, takes this seriously, and addresses Wade's behavior appropriately. No one regardless of race or background should ever be made to feel unwelcome in a place of business. Excited to be able to visit a CAVA. Food was fresh. My daughter created our own bowls. My chicken was seasoned well and tender. The rice was freshly made. Her lamb was so tender and tasty. The place was clean and inviting. Since we are from Northern California the manager (Wade) was nice enough to talk to us about our visit to Texas and gave suggestions. Christian and Riley prepared our bowls quickly and also gave their suggestions of favorite additions to our bowls. They all were so nice to us I wish we had them back home. We've visited this location before and been pleased with our experiences, but today was disappointing. It seemed poorly managed. It took half an hour to place an order in line; part of the issue was a large group of 30 people were in line ahead of us but it was actually moving quickly until we noticed they stopped taking orders and were putting out mobile to-go orders. In addition, while we saw a clear sign noting they were out of chicken shawarma, they were also out of falafel (we were told they didn't have anytime this morning to make it). That left no protein options for the vegetarian diners. We wouldn't have stayed in line if we'd known, but after spending that amount of time, my dining companion realized roasted vegetables were the only other choice after she'd selected rice and greens as her base (you only get to pick 2, so lentils weren't an available option anymore). By the time we sat down, the line was still long, tables unbussed, and the drink area was a mess including no availability of the fresh drinks they typically offer. I realize this location might have been overwhelmed with patrons, but management should have stepped in to help under the circumstances. We visited around 2 pm. read more

Two visits were enough to convince me not to come back. The first time, they tried to serve guacamole that looked old, with dark brown streaks throughout. The second time, they were out of almost everything by 3pm. I was told chicken would be ready in 9 minutes, waited 15, and then was told it would be another 8. When I asked for a refund, the staff member (possibly a manager) argued that I hadn't ordered there -- even though I had ordered and been waiting. Only after correcting them did they process it, and then told me I'd have to wait 3-5 days to get my refund. The blonde girl who served me was clearly upset with being there and was not welcoming in the slightest. I felt as if I was bothering her... while she's doing the job she gets paid to do... Now this is how fast food should be done! This was my first time eating at CAVA, I'm so glad I stopped in. The food was fresh, fast and delicious. I had the Market Spice Bowl. It was a great mixture of spices, flavors and textures. My only regret is that I wish I had more. I also sampled each of their fresh juices, OMG... every single juice was delicious and refreshing. I ended up mixing the Strawberry Citrus w/ Classic Lemonade... So refreshing. I literally could come here just for the juice. They have dining inside, as well as on the patio outside. I love Cava! The food is always fresh and flavorful. The veggies are crisp and crunchy, which are one of Cava's strong suits for sure. Similarly to Chipotle, portion sizes have some variety depending on the location, day, or time that you go, but this location usually gets me right. My first time experiencing Cava was when a friend had it catered for her party about 3 months ago. A couple weeks ago I drove by a Cava location close to my neighborhood, so I decided to try it again. I ordered pick up, but I decided to eat it inside the restaurant. The atmosphere is calm and inviting. Clean floors and tables. Lots of seating options, either indoors or on the patio. I chose to eat in the dining room. Upbeat music, but not so loud it would be difficult to have a conversation with someone. It was also pleasantly cool in the dining room. I ordered the Chicken + RightRice Bowl, though i customized it to my taste: Saffron white rice in place of the RightRice, no tomatoes, no onions, and no pickled onions. I had it topped with pita crisps. That's a nice touch because it gives it a good crunch. I had Greek vinaigrette drizzled on top. I was a little skeptical about the "drizzle" since that can be relative, but Cava did a nice job of making sure it was drizzled evenly. Everything mixed together made the bowl light and fresh, but don't let that fool you. It's A LOT of food! I couldn't finish my bowl, and I'm not a small person (6'6"). For my beverage, I enjoyed their house-made Pineapple Apple Mint drink. Light and refreshing! I would definitely order this drink again. If I change anything about this bowl next time it will be to leave out the feta. The hummus and tzatziki sharing the same bowl was delicious! Overall, I'm very pleased with this location and my meal. Fresh, light, yet it didn't make me feel afterwards like it was a fleeting feeling of full. (Nice alliteration, huh?) Choosing Cava? Good call! read more

I love CAVA and today I received amazing service at this location. Jennifer at the register was very nice and helpful with a reward I had tried to redeem. I accidentally selected pita instead of bowl so the reward wasn't going through at first. I was then told it's on the house and could believe how nice and accommodating the staff was about this hiccup.
