Big nice size portion
Shakela S.

The customer service was wonderful 10 out of 10 they hooked me up bad experience in the Huntington Beach location tonight. They hooked me up with a free drink go to the Costa Mesa location. I will be returning back. Also, they gave me a big nice portion. The one in Huntington Beach gave me a tiny small portion go to the one in Costa Mesa everyone.

We were near a Cava so we tried it for the first time. It was highly recommended so we were super excited for lunch. We all ordered something a lil different. One salad salmon bowl, two bowls half rice have power greens with chicken, one gyro and a kids meal. The service was spot on they were helpful explaining our options. The tea was okay a lil on the watered side unsweetened. We ate in the outdoor patio. Free parking in back. Loved it! We'll definitely be back.

Enjoy eating outside on a beautiful day. The cucumber mint drink is refreshing. I've been eating CAVA a lot now starting 2026 that I lost 10 lbs! Ordering from the app, earn rewards and redeem for a free bowl. I can get 3 or 4 meals from 1 bowl, so very affordable and healthy.

I had about an hour to spare during my choir concert and was starving, conveniently cava was right around the corner. Honestly, it was a pleasant surprise! It's like the Chipotle of Mediterranean food, and every bite was loaded with flavor. At first glance, I thought the bowl looked kinda small, but halfway through I realized this thing was like a bottomless bowl. It just kept going! My only gripe is the price. The base bowl is around $13, which only covers chicken or veggies, and if you want anything else it's like an extra 3 or 4 bucks. Not the best deal, but still worth it for how fresh everything tastes. Service was quick, the spot was clean, and overall I left full and happy. 4.5 stars if that was a thing!

My delicious bowl! 5/5!

I loooove Cava! I can always count on Cava for a delicious meal. I love their plethora of options. Their chicken is juicy and delicious! I particularly LOVE their harissa. The side pita is quite tasty as well. The workers were very friendly and quick as well! I ended up sitting outside and enjoying my meal on the patio. It was a great time! I'll be back!

I love this location! Whenever I go after work it's not super packed (like the one in Irvine is) and the workers are always friendly. Their meats and veggies are super fresh and they have great portioning. I recommend getting the Hot Harissa Pita! I don't know if they have it, but the recipe was on a tan looking laminated paper. If they don't have it, the harissa itself is pretty yummy so just try that with whatever you like!

Greek Salad with chicken

They aren't kidding when they say it's the chipotle for salads. Even the decor is chipotle inspired. It actually does open at 10:45 - I wasn't believing it- but it's true. (Seems odd, but okay) They weren't totally ready-but they hustled and made it all work. I got the Greek salad as my base...then added a few other ingredients.... picked onions some of the green jalapeño cilantro sauce- really good and not spicy. It came with 2 small pieces of pita that were so fresh and delicious. The folks behind the counter did feel rushed (just like chipotle) but they were stiff friendly.

Got to try "Mediterranean Chipotle" after my brother raved about this chain for so long. We each got a mixed bowl. It held up well for the 30 minute drive home too. The shop is spacious, clean, and the service was friendly. I can see this being a great place for a work lunch or something quick but a bit elevated. I got a chicken and rice bowl with my desired toppings. It's customized to my tastes so I won't bother listing it all out, but I can say any combination you choose with mesh well in terms of flavor and textures. I topped it with hot sauce which wasn't that hot but added a contrast of acidity to everything going on. I wish it was a bit more packed though. The staff gave me some chips after learning it was my first time here which was nice of them! Overall I'd definitely consider going here when I'm in the mood for Mediterranean food.

Absolutely top notch service. The assistant manager made sure that our first visit here was phenomenal, and she was extremely welcoming. The clerk assisted us with the types of foods to select. We had such a phenomenal experience with stellar service. We will be back. I love the organized clean look of the inside and it's a great place to bring a large party of people.

chicken and steak combo bowl

If you like food thats fresh and full of flavors and actually leaves you full afterwards, then the steak and chicken combo bowl here at Cava is a must. The steak is super tender with a perfect grilled edge, and the chicken is juicy and loaded with flavor. They load the bowl up with crumbled feta, pickled onions, juicy tomatoes, and this rich red spicy sauce that spices it up just right. Every bite has a mix of creamy, tangy, spicy, and fresh. It's a bowl where you keep finding different textures and flavors the more you eat! ha The place itself has a really clean, modern vibe. Bright natural light, sleek wood and metal touches, and an open setup that feels welcoming without being too busy. It's definitely one of those spots you don't mind hanging out in for a bit, whether you're eating in or grabbing something to go. I've been here a few times before and it always hits. Consistent, quick, and full of flavor. This combo bowl is one I'd definitely come back for.

This was my first time coming in and I have to say, Andres is the best worker there. I had no idea what to get, but he took his time helping me choose something that actually fit my taste. Super patient, super knowledgeable, and really made the whole experience easy. Because of him, I'm definitely coming back loyal customer from here on out. Highly recommend asking for Andres!

Grains (Top) & Greens + Grains (Bottom) Bowl
Michelle N.

I came back to say my experience was completely different this time! After tweaking my last order, it improved my bowl greatly. This time I did a build-your-own Grains bowl that included White Rice, Sauce (Tzatziki, Crazy Feta, & Red Pepper Hummus), Grilled Chicken, Toppings (Fire Roasted Corn, Pickled Onions, Cabbage Slaw, Crumbled Feta, Pita Crisps, Persian Cucumber), and topped it off with Garlic Dressing and Hot Harissa Vinaigrette. The options really are endless in unique flavors here. The sauces weren't overloaded and my bowl was more enjoyable this time around! I would've included a pic, but I couldn't wait to dive in!

Jessica E.

YUM YUM YUM!! Not only was the food awesome, but the service was above and beyond. I couldn't get my app to add on sauces on the side, but Andres was kind enough to get me them! I came in at 6pm on a Monday and there was no line, although I took advantage of the order ahead through the app which was relatively easy to use. Pita chips are worth it. They almost never make the drive home. Definitely a pricy menu but I think it is quality and delicious

The rolls…read morewere coated in butter infused with zesty lemon and thyme (Yes, like the name of the restaurant! Isn't that adorable and clever?) Then came the entrees. Knockout after knockout. The Pork Belly with Black Garlic and the Seared Duck Breast were both perfectly executed. Crunchy, golden skin. Juicy meat. Rich, flavorful sauces paired with comforting, silky purées. Balanced. The kind of plates that make us slow down to savor each mouthful... and then shamelessly scrape up every last bite. We were so smitten after those first two dishes that we threw all caution and control to the wind. I asked staff to surprise us with one of the dishes recommended earlier. Out came the Grilled Octopus Al Pastor. Nice char, tender bite, and a tangy sauce. For dessert: the Baklava Cheesecake. Lightly spritzed with aromatic rose water, ultra sweet, and unapologetically indulgent. Beautifully crafted and shareable, though you may not want to. Beyond the food, the ambience really shines. Intimate, classy, and whimsical, with a charming playlist. Ideal for date nights or special celebrations. Service was outstanding. Warm, attentive, and passionate. Staff enthusiastically walked us through the menu and offered recommendations. Our server was on point. Water glasses were never empty, plates cleared promptly, and everything flowed seamlessly. An incredible experience from start to finish. I couldn't stop yapping about the duck and pork belly since our first dinner here. So we came back the following weekend! We ordered our favorites again - the Pork Belly with Black Garlic and the Seared Duck Breast. To our surprise, the meats felt rather chewy and tough. I'm hoping this was a hiccup, but would love to see consistency in texture. Will be coming back for more :)

Parking: Free parking in the back of the restaurant. Our Tes took us to the parking lot outback when we punched in their address. Food: 4 stars. Small menu selection with a couple of specials for dinner. Really enjoyed the burger + fries + beer trio. Good solid food. Creative and generous serving portions. This is really out of the way for us, but since we were doing some shopping in Costa Mesa, Grok recommended this restaurant based on a few of our filters... Wow, the food was phenomenal...but what pushed this from a 4 star to a 5 star experience were the warm towelettes and lemon for me to wash my hands with. I guess they saw me using my hands to eat their delectable empanadas, they brought a plate with warm towelettes and lemon over. Pleasantly surprised and impressed. Highly recommended, and will definitely be back. We come down to the OC a few times a month to see friends and escape our regular routine.

Decided to have dinner here again, and so glad we did. Ordered the combo with gyro meat and kefta. The combo ones with a side salad with a lemony deessing, which was really good and different from the Greek salad dressing, also really good. You can request the pickles id happened to notice when I wsnt to order more pita. 1 cones with the meal but its not enough for the amount of hummus. There are 3 sauces also. A tzaziki, hot sauce and another green one im not sure if it was a pesto. No matter, all good. I'll definitely be back. Its popular for sure, lots of takeout and call in orders. We had reservations and our tables were ready early before our time so we were able to sit there and wait for the rest of the party. The menu is pretty extensive with a good variety of cold and hot appetizers and meats. The prices were also reasonable. We opted for the dinner package, which came with choices of 3 cold appetizers, 3 hot appetizers, salad, 3 choices of meat, and rice for $55 per person plus tax and gratuity. The belly dancing show started at 8:30pm and was entertaining. The dancer really engaged with the audience. I was sitting in a far corner and thought I was hidden from her view, but she came over, started dancing next to me, and got me to do a slight shimmy along with her. It was fun. My only complaint is the waitress was a bit much. We already ordered a lot of food, mind you, but every opportunity she had, she kept pushing to order more and then mentioned there would be an extra charge. She also wanted to charge us for 8 people even though we had 7 people at the table.

** this is from several months ago** t'was sitting in my drafts for a bit,…read more... Several beer pitchers in @ HACHI (just next door-shout out to them)-- for a celebration of a breakup, the end of midterms, or simply the triumph of continuing to exist (in THIS economy?? were all needing to praise ourselves for simply surviving) -- we found ourselves drawn, like moths to a fluorescently lit flame, to Halal Guys. Now listen. The food? Solid. Reliable. The kind of food that understands you are not here for nuance. You are here because life has punched you in the throat and you require a plate of rice, chicken, gyro meat, and mysterious white sauce to spiritually stabilize. I used to go to the OG one in NYC when i was getting punched in the throat there too. (PUNCHED IN THE THROAT BY ACADEMIA, FIGURATIVELY, y'all haver crazy imaginations outthere). BUT it;s the people... It's always the people... The staff. My siblings in falafel... it was 10 PM. You could feel the collective energy of "we have been serving drunk people since sunset and you are the 437th group tonight explaining your breakup story while pointing at the menu." Not judging, just warmth and the quiet aura of people who have seen things. Who have witnessed humanity at its lowest point: ordering extra hot sauce and then immediately regretting it. JC looked in my soul and I think he understood,,, everything. AND JESS! (my fairy wielding a spoon scooping the heavenly meat and talking to me like a therapist??) And they fed us. Efficiently. Respectfully. Would I return? hell ya i would. only to see if Jess and JC remembers me. JK the food is always reliable. y'all stay away from the hot saucres,

Overall (1/5) This was easily my worst Halal Guys experience…read moreand honestly left me really disappointed. I came craving something familiar and left feeling like I wasted both time and money. First Impressions (1/5) When I walked in, there was only one person working, handling the fryer, the register, and assembling plates. I genuinely felt bad for her, especially considering the steady line forming. What We Got (2/5) I ordered a regular plate, which is what I usually get at Halal Guys. Nothing customized or complicated, just the standard order I have had many times before at other locations. Taste and Quality (0/5) The food was shockingly bad. The rice was raw and crunchy, which was hard to believe at first. The meat pieces were tiny and very chewy, and the pita bread was extremely soggy. On top of that, it was only around 4 pm and the usual spinning meat and grill were not even on, despite the line picking up. Service (2/5) The worker was clearly trying her best, but one person running everything in a busy location is not realistic. She was constantly running back and forth between the fryer and the line, which made the whole operation feel chaotic and slow. Space and Atmosphere (3/5) The space itself was fine and what you would expect from Halal Guys. Clean enough, but nothing stood out positively enough to offset the food experience. Was It Worth It (0/5) Not at all. As someone who is pretty frugal and almost always finishes their meals, I could not finish this plate. It genuinely felt like a waste of $18. Final Thoughts This location does not seem to be held to the same standards as other Halal Guys in the area. This experience was disappointing from start to finish.
