Bowl with way too much dressing
    Ally F.

Sadly, this is a very messy Cava location. Their bowls are one of my favorites, and I order out from them often or go to locations around the city. This one needs serious improvement. I came in an hour before close, and there was food everywhere and the containers were all cross contaminated. It looked gross and dirty. The workers were disinterested in customer service, and didn't seem well taken care of. They lazily slopped my bowl together, and I paid. I ate it as fast as possible and left because it felt dirty and sticky eating in there. A fly even visited my bowl. Needless to say, I don't recommend this location.

I finally was able to try CAVA for the very first time. I went just to grab a quick dinner on a Friday night, just before closing. I knew this place had to be pretty good because the line was steady, even before closing and people kept coming in! The restaurant seemed pretty clean, and customer service was nice, as I was greeted as soon as I got in line. At first glance, I honestly underestimated the portion sizes, given that I thought the dinner bowls used weren't big enough for my appetite. Boy, was I wrong! The dish I got, definitely hit the spot, and that was before the addition of adding pita bread as a side. I didn't even bother getting a drink. Honestly? This restaurant model reminds me of Chipotle, but with a Mediterranean twist. You get to select what food option you want, and then walk down a line picking and choosing veggie toppings you want after your choice of greens, rice, and/or what proteins are added to your dish. Plenty of vegan/vegetarian options. Not a bad experience at all. I will definitely be back

Parking at the metro is always tricky so took us a few minutes to find parking. Came here on a Saturday and the line wasn't long at all and was served pretty fast. Seating was easy to find and many open tables available, the atmosphere was chill and nothing special. Their food was good and held my hunger down until dinner. This is a good spot for a quick meal.

Went here for the first Time and it was so good. The place was clean, had friendly staff, and the food was fresh. I got a rice bowl with harissa chicken, picked onion, cucumbers and hummus.

Spicy Lamb Meatballs were perfect. Everything that comes standard on the gyro is a must. All the flavors come together and make a perfect meal.

They have a huge menu with plenty of options, and everything we tried tasted great. It's primarily a restaurant, but you can also buy packed food items which is a nice bonus. We thoroughly enjoyed the food here. They served generous portions of babaganoush and hummus -- both were delicious. They also gave us complimentary lentil soup, and it was surprisingly good. For entrees, we ordered the lamb shank, which was juicy, tender, and absolutely amazing. The adana kabab was top notch with incredible flavor. The chicken shawarma and chicken kabab could have been a bit more tender, but still enjoyable overall. They also have a large selection of desserts on the menu, so definitely save some room if you can. Overall, we had a great experience at La Shish Kabob -- warm hospitality, big portions, and flavorful food. Would definitely go back!

Plating of everything is very nice and aesthetically pleasing! First thing we got almost 3 minutes after we ordered was the caramelized Brussels, we rated it a 9! One of the best sandwiches I've had, rating it a 9.3! My friend got a heart of palm salmon Caesar and she rated it a 7.4! Service was quick and attentive, our server, Jordan, was nice and genuine! We brought the kids and they loved the French toast stuffed with strawberries--huge portions and they ate every bite. I went with the quinoa stuffed avocado, super fresh and flavorful, while my husband couldn't stop raving about the wood-fired octopus. Everything tasted made with care, nothing felt rushed or bland. The kids-eat-free deal made it even better, and those $12 mimosa carafes? Total steal. Service was friendly, though it slowed down a bit when the rush hit, but we didn't mind. The whole meal felt like a little celebration without breaking the bank. If you're in Charlotte looking for a spot that does brunch right with something for everyone, definitely put Kid Cashew at the top of your list. Five stars.

The interior is beautiful, but the real star is the food (and our waitress, who we were fortunate enough to get both times--she's fantastic!). Plumb forgot her name twice now The portions are so generous that the hubby and I have started a "share everything" policy just so we can sample more of the menu. The Lamb Chops are sizeable, perfectly seasoned, and actually taste like they would in Greece. The Hummus. It's rustic, flavorful, and took me straight back to the streets of Greece. Pair that with their juicy Greek Meatballs, and you're in possible food coma! They also boast an all-Greek wine list, which is a nice authentic touch. While they have a great patio, it's been a bit too chilly for us lately, but the indoor vibe is just as lovely. Authentic flavor, great service, and a wine list that actually knows its grapes--definitely a 5-star gem in the Queen City!

Monday night, half price wine by the glass or bottle, all of them on the list! Love when they do that without limitations. So we went with a glass of champagne! Because why not when it's half price! Service was excellent , and the food just awesome . So fresh and delicious. The menu here is so nice and varied with so many options. We started with the prosciutto carpaccio, paper thin prosciutto with olive oil, and fresh Parmesan and fresh greens, white balsamic and hazelnut. This was amazing, just yummy. The roasted mushrooms, come on a sliced yogurt, with verde hummus, and sumac onions. Again so flavorful and so many different things going on in this dish. Highly recommend this. The short rib bolognese. A fabulous small plate, but plenty for two . This sauce was so good with the fresh grilled bread they serve. The pasta was perfectly cooked, spinach flavored. Truffle ricotta, and crispy prosciutto on top, nice pieces of short rib too. This was an excellent dish. We were truly full so had to pass on dessert but we did get a after dinner espresso martini, called the Salud! A Spanish table toast, peppermint infused tequila, espresso, licor 43, coffee liquor and creme de cacao. Served frozen, this tasted like an Andes mint. Perfect after dinner drink. I hope this stays on the menu! So good. I'm so glad this place is still going strong and busy on a Monday night! I love everything about Chapter 6, such a great spot.

We were…read moresuper excited to try it as none of us had been able to make it there before since they've opened. However, to be honest, I wasn't very impressed and neither were they. We started with the Prosciutto carpaccio and the Whipped Ricotta appetizers to share. Both of those were pretty good and the bread that came along with it was good too. It was grilled and nice and crispy. For drinks, one of my friends ordered the rosé wine flight, I ordered their house red wine, and my other friend ordered wine as well. The wine selection was good so we are pleased with that. It was our main entrées that we ordered that we were not pleased with. For example, I ordered the steak skewer, which I understood would be a small plate, but when it came out to find that it was just one skewer was a little bit misleading, and I wish that I had ordered something else because that was not enough for my dinner. Our server didn't come back to check on us after our food arrived so I wasn't even able to add any more small plates. In addition, my friend did not enjoy her pasta at all, and I tried to bite, and it was not good. Only my friend who ordered the Bolognese pasta was pleased with her dinner choice. Due to our server not coming back to our table to check on us and also didn't really give us suggestions of what to order or how to order I wasn't very pleased with our experience. I don't know if I would come back because honestly, the meal was pretty mid for how expensive it was priced. The inside of the restaurant is cute and the patio as well but the food is mid and expensive for the service to be so poor.
