I go to this place A LOT because the ingredients are mostly good, I say that meaning they are fresh, I would question the sources & handling. Tonight was "mixed up" ingredients, side "free" pita was half stale /half moist, which tells numerous things... all said, I do wish to know the health rating. read more

This place is good but I placed an order through their service. When the food came some items were missing so we called them and they said will have a new order . When I arrived the young lady when I asked about the order she was very confrontational and rude. I didn't catch her name but she's was the black woman with hijab . I was taken back by simply stating I'm here for the order . She proceeded to say to me didn't I just talk to you . I had to let her know again I was just letting them know I was . Decided to try Cava and I'm glad to say it didn't disappoint. The food was fresh, delicious, colorful, healthy and filling. The service was actually quick, but I did order ahead of time. Which is a nice and convenient way to order, especially during rush hours. The ambiance is open and airy, plus it has plenty of seating areas inside and outside. I had a horrible experience on Saturday, September 20th around 9:30 pm at your midstate mall location. The experience lasted about 30 minutes starting with a 10 minute wait in line. When I was finally served, the food options I preferred were out and there was an additional 15 minute wait for brown rice and grilled chicken. For context, I am a mom and decided to take a break last night and feed my family cava for dinner. My children were waiting for me in the car and I did not have 15 minutes to wait. So instead of brown rice, I settled for white rice and instead of regular grilled chicken, I asked the girl serving me if I could substitute the harissa chicken and shawarma chicken due to the inconvenience. The young lady said it was ok, however at check out, the cashier was confused and attempted to charge me for Harissa and shawarma chicken prices. I explained to her that I preferred grilled chicken but due to the wait asked for harissa chicken and shawarma chicken as a substitute. The cashier then left the register to go ask a manager and came back saying she could waive two children pitas and charge for one bowl and kids pita. I agreed and gave her $25 to pay, however she didn't know how to process my transaction and asked a coworker to help. The coworker proceeded ring up my transaction and charge me full price while using my rewards to redeem the two children's pitas. I objected and told her what the previous cashier had promised. When the second cashier couldn't complete my transaction properly, I asked for manager who then came to assist. When I explained the issue to the manager she said for the inconvenience that she'd only charge me for the bowl and waive the 3 kids pitas. When I told her that I handed the previous cashier $25, she got confused and said ok and was about to take my full $25. In disbelief I asked what she was doing and she stammered on her words attempting the settle the transaction with my $25 which was not what she promised me. At that point was grew impatient and frustrated and asked for my money back so that I could take my business elsewhere. I left CAVA empty handed with no food for my family because no one knew what they were doing and wasted my time! Today I checked my rewards account and saw that 2000 of my CAVA points have been redeemed despite I didn't receive a meal. This experience has deeply soured my perception of cava and the competency of the staff. I will never go to that location EVER again! I want my points back as well! read more

The food is honestly great, but this specific location the employees don't know anything about customer service. it's horrible every visit I've had to contact a manager it's really upsetting. I'm already paying 2.45 for 4 meatballs and I asked more a little bit more they add 2 and say it's an extra charge so I was charged 5.45 for the 2 meatball. in total my order was around 33 dollars which is insane for a bowl!! on top of that extremely rude and unwelcoming employees. The whole atmosphere is horrible. do better read more

Be careful they're overcharging customers I was overcharged by $14. I called the store and they would not give me a refund over the phone. They told me I had to come back which is an inconvenience... Not sure about the food yet because I've been waiting for my order for 45 minutes. And I was given one hour from the time I order. Came to the store to pick up my order and surprise surprise they're running behind. Someone ahead of me is telling me that their order was supposed to be done 30 minutes ago. At this point, the foot better be five stars for me to give a good review. I will adjust accordingly if the food was worth waiting two hours for. read more

There is no point in ordering for pick-up. You get there and still have to wait over 30 minutes while patrons walking in are able to get their food, pay, and leave. I witnessed 3 staff "working" walk up line with no patrons to serve while 1 staff working pick up line. None of the staff standing bothered to assist their colleague. Additionally, the staff member working the pick up line allowed 4 patrons to stand there and wait for over 20 minutes while she completed orders and set them side. As you can imagine more and more orders are coming in so there was no end in sight. Instead of packing our orders and sending us on our way, she just kept accumulating and completing more orders and setting them aside while we grew more impatient. It took a patron to walk over to a staff member and ask them to please assist her so we can get our orders and leave. Clearly there is a lack of good management and time management. read more

Food is amazing and fresh and the ambiance was very clean. SERVICE WAS HORRIBLE. I asked for a bit of harissa but the staff misheard and dumped a big scoop of hummus into my bowl. When I asked for more rice the staff gave me a dirty look and added just a little bit (how stingy). Next, they told me there was NO VEGETABLES. I asked how long it would take for them to add it again and they said they wouldn't have it for the rest of the day which is actually mind blowing. How can the vegetables be out of stock if you promote yourself as a healthy food place? Don't even get me started on the line. Cava, at least at my location, is totally understaffed. Sometimes it even takes 20 minutes to move through the line. Cashier is always managing the delivery orders and the cashier counter is always empty, which holds up the entire line. Staff is always chatting to each other instead of taking orders and building the bowl. Do better Cava. read more

I went here once before and love the food. Came back for a lunch with friends. Went to ladies room to wash my hands before I eat and the soap was empty. I dashed into the other restroom to wash and then politely stopped to tell the cashier (who was the only employee I could see who was not actively working an order). I told her the soap was empty and she glared at me and said nothing. I repeated, thinking maybe she didn't hear. Then she just shrugged and said yeah ok. I told her that it is unsanitary - what if an employee used the restroom and wasn't able to wash their hands? She simply looked at me as if I was a babbling idiot. I went back to my friends and told them what happened. It made me feel like this place doesn't care about cleanliness. I felt like I was taking a health risk to eat my pita. I just lost my appetite and so did my friends. It would have been better if she at least said thank you for letting me know I will tell them to put soap. I'm pretty sure this would be looked at as a health violation and it's a shame because this is a new place and the food is so tasty. Do Better Cava!!!! read more
