Today was my first visit to Cava and I thoroughly enjoyed my experience. They offer a healthier alternative to fast food. There are several options to choose from - salads, pita, grain bowls and so much more. I ordered a salad and made certain to get all the bells and whistles that went with it. I must say, the falafel is delish and so are their sauces. I'm already planning my next visit because the falafel will be the star! The staff was extremely patient, especially since this was my first time, she walked me through each option. The portion was filling and the price point was reasonable. The staff treated us weird. We're a family of 4 and were in the restaurant long before anyone else arrived. We began ordering and they kept asking if another (Black) person behind us was with us, trying to charge us for their meal. I asked for items they did not give me but confirmed that I wanted. They overcharged me for an extra protein on two of our meals because they misunderstood which proteins we wanted in the first place. I would have preferred that they tell me they did not understand instead of just charging us extra. My family first tried CAVA in Westchester, NY during a community event where they gave out free meals for whomever scored a free ticket, and asked for donations for a food security organization. The food was great but the manager there was trash. He was dismissive with "some" people that showed up but gave out free meals to others that obviously did not have a ticket. He also let non-ticket holders enter while other's were turned away. This exchange was very reminiscent of my first experience. I'm feeling like maybe this just isn't the kind of company I want to get behind. The food was great in NY but what they offered in MD was not great. The service at both left much to be desired and that tells me that this is a detriment of the company dynamics as a whole. I will also add that I ended up feeling not so great overnight. The team at the Bowie location are always so friendly and customer service oriented. I order both in person and online for pickup and my order is always accurate. There is a gentleman there named Romeo that always smiles and welcomes you back and from a financial perspective, asked me last time if I had tried their new salmon protein. -Smart, I had not even noticed. read more

On April 13, 2026, I visited Cava and purchased a Greek salad with chicken and spicy chips. I was asked if I wanted sour onion, and I agreed. My total came to $16.11. I provided $20.11 and initially received $3.90 in change. After bringing this to their attention, another employee reviewed the receipt and returned an additional $0.5. During this interaction, I was told that pennies were not being accepted, which gave me the impression that this may have been the reason for the shortage in my change. After leaving and getting halfway home, I realized my chips were not included in my order. I returned to Cava to explain the situation. The employee who initially assisted me kindly acknowledged that she had forgotten to place the chips in my bag. However, another employee reviewed the receipt and stated that I had not been charged for the chips and that they would cost $2.80. I explained that I did not have my wallet with me and asked if they could provide the chips due to the inconvenience, especially since I had to return. At that point, the employee responded loudly, in front of other customers, that I had only been shorted $0.5. While the amount itself was small, my concern was more about the overall inconsistency of the experience. I even returned to my car to retrieve money to pay for the chips, but the employee declined to accept it. I visit Cava frequently with my family several times a week, and this is not the first time I have had an issue with items missing from my order. I hope that greater attention to order accuracy and more considerate customer service can be provided moving forward. read more

The staff were disorganized today. The food is okay for fast food Middle Eastern food. Make sure you know what the customer asked for. She assumed I wanted chicken. I never get chicken at Cava. I always get lamb or falafel. read more

Not for me, but the service was very friendly and professional. My friend enjoyed it, but he's vegan, I'm not, but said I'd try.

Finally went to check out this new location in Bowie tonight for dinner. It is nice and clean inside, the staff is very inviting, all the food was fresh. I ordered the sweet & spicy chicken pita. It was so so good; very filling. The pita was warm and fluffy; all the toppings were fresh adding a lot of flavor. In addition, I added some pickled onions and cilantro jasmine rice. Its just something about pickled onions. They make everything better. To drink, I ordered the pineapple apple mint juice which is very refreshing. I cannot wait to go back and try more options. I love the grain bowl and is a great choose for a vegetarian or vegan and a healthy choice. I visited them often and have it delivered by Door Dash. I love the lamb meatballs when I started eating meat again. I wish they would always have the Strawberry lemonade and not just seasonal. Good amount of food for two meals. I wish they had a way to add your Door Dash orders to your rewards. read more

I've been to cava countless times! This is my first time at this location and the reason I'm doing a review is due to the exceptional and customer service compared to other locations. The lady who helped me was very nice and made sure I had fresh super greens and falafel without me even asking. Assuming she felt they had sat out and wanted me to have a fresh batch. I've never experienced this level or consideration at a fast casual spot. Underwhelming. I have not eaten there. I walked into the location to get a menu, and they said it is only online. Fair enough, but this gave me the opportunity to look around. Underwhelming. This Cava is new, and my recent visit was overall good. The location is clean, well stocked, and the employees move fast. My reduction is based off the fact that I've been to several Cavas, and today when I ate here i paid extra for the harissa chicken -- and this used to feel worth it for the flavor. However, I've never been more disappointed in this chicken. It was diced so small and there was barely any chicken in the bowl. I rly don't think Cava should be charging extra for this protein anymore, it's just chicken and it's gone way down in quality. This location is good, but Cava is continuously depleting their quality as a brand. I think this was the final straw for me. I want to love Cava but time and time again (all locations) -- it's a hit or miss. For the price you pay, it's just not worth it anymore. The drinks are an exception. read more

This location is close to my work, anytime I come in the staff is always friendly, and kind with fast service. Our interactions are usually quick but I have yet to have an experience that wasn't great and I eat CAVA on average about 2-3 times per week. read more

Not a bad overall lunch bowl but those were the weirdest falafel I have ever had. They were a combination of half mush and half was whole chickpeas. Just not what you you expect if you are looking for a classic falafel, which I was. Ingredients are fresh. read more
