Had heard about this place and was glad to see one right by my departure gate. I chose the build your own bowl salad option with Right Rice. I like that there are so many fresh options. I had falafel and sweet potatoes. Be forewarned- lots of upcharges for extras. My salad and tea cost over $16! read more

CAVA - Blueberry lemonade and bowl with Roasted White Sweet Potato and Falafel - Salad Near Me - Arlington, Virginia

Not sure why this is marked closed but they were open and very friendly when I came after a major flight delay and after I left Grille District where there were major attitude and hygiene issues (I watched the bartender pick her nose for a while and no hands washing as she continued to handle things). This Cava crew seemed tired and I'm sure they have had a long day but were still quite friendly and accommodating even with many things out (I get it since it's end of day). Definitely appreciated their professionalism and friendliness after the other horrifying incident. If anyone is reading from management, this was posted real time and the staff was great. Thanks! read more

I moved to Seattle and there is no CAVA there so I am so happy to eat CAVA again! This location is often very busy since it's one of the best places in the airport for dinner. Now that many airlines are not having food unless you pre-order ahead of time, I feel like everyone comes to CAVA for dinner. It's a quick and efficient location since they have to move quickly. This time though, I was disappointed because they were out of the Super Green and the Mix Greens so I had to get the arugula and romain. Still delicious but just not as good as the super green mix. Tips: get the half and half when it comes to the meat! You can try 2 meats or get one meat and one veggie. read more

I recently dined at Cava, and once again, it was an incredible experience! The food was absolutely awesome. The service was top-notch as always, with the staff being attentive, friendly, and quick. This place continues to be my all-time favorite, and I can't recommend it enough. Whether you're craving something comforting or looking to try something new. read more

They were out of several items, and the poor woman in front of us asked for the pita since she couldn't get what she wanted. They denied her and made it an issue that affected several customers. Additionally, the young lady at the register was rude and didn't try to make it right. Essentially, the service was appalling and I'm leaving this review because I'm disgusted on her behalf. My food was fine, but I won't come here again if that's how they treat people. This location gives Cava a bad name, and is not up to the standards of other locations. Very disappointing. read more

A round of applause for DCA, for having healthy options at their airport. I am a huge cava fan and was stoked when I saw it in the terminal. The line was short, and the workers were polite and timely. My biggest complaint is the portion sizes. For whatever reason, I got basically no base greens/rice. It felt like 1/2 the size of what I get outside of the airport. read more

The service here is so bad. I asked for a 3rd sauce and was told no with no explanation. I explained that I would pay for the extra one and I was told a swift and sharp "no" again. At this point I'm confused and holding up the line. Another person, (I'm assuming the manager) said "that sauce is out". So I said okay and continued to the register where I was asked 3 times if I still wanted my order. It seems like there's a major communication issue here. read more

I ordered the crispy falafel Pita. 1st the falafel was cold and mushy, not to mention falafel by design are supposed to be made with chickpeas, this was made with mostly beans, not listed that way on the menu. They did not put all the toppings listed on the menu, when I asked for tihini sauce to be added to the sandwich they said that was extra, I should have said where are my missing toppings, but fine. I paid and walked away with the bag, no napkins were in the bag, some of the toppings where so water logged made the pita bread soggy and squished everywhere when I bit into it, not a problem I can use the napkins to wipe off, but wait, I was not given any. I'm an expert on falafel sandwiches, this does not even clear the bar to qualify to be called a falafel sandwich. It is a sandwich, I give it that. Employees not smiling, looked grumpy. read more

TERRIBLE service. While waiting for a morning flight, all of the other restaurants are open. I walked over at 8:22 AM and asked what time the kiosk would open. The lady behind the counter rudely said they were closed. So then I asked the same question again: what time are you all opening? And she then ignored me. Another worker came out and did not acknowledge my presence, or answer my question. So, I asked for a third time: what time do they open; and I was told 8:30. The employee rudely stated that she already said that, which she had not. Only go here if you'd like to be treated as though your presence is an annoyance. read more

Early morning flight out of DCA, and the Cava on Concourse B offers Compass Coffee. That's good. After several minutes of waiting, I left the counter coffee-less, as no one bothered to walk over to take my order. That's not-so-good. Starbucks to the rescue. That is all. read more

The short: This is an airport GEM. I wish every airport had a CAVA. And, to be honest, I'm reviewing with grace because WE ARE IN AN AIRPORT. My standards automatically drop when you pass through security. The longer: There's a line, but its's worth a wait if you don't want to eat a burger/fries (your other to-go option), sit down and order pub food, or take a wrapped sandwich to-go (and I have really strong feelings against wrapped sandwiches... so maybe this is a bias review). This CAVA is similar in quality to other ones I've been too, but the falafel and meatballs didn't look that great. I had chicken and veggies, and a bunch of the hummus/feta toppings. My meal was good and everything I ate was fresh (they'd just put out new chicken when I arrived). My flight was delayed for 2 hours, and I hadn't been planning on eating dinner in the airport since I'm on Weight Watchers, so I was just honestly grateful to have a fresh, low calorie salad option in an airport. read more

Ingredients were fresh and portion size was generous. I ordered a falafel pita. It was a bit messy to eat out of the paper. If I ordered here again at the airport, I'd probably order a bowl. I also ordered their seasonal juice - it was pineapple apple mint. It didn't disappoint! 4 stars because I think the service at this location could have been better. They were just trying to get to the next person and didn't really greet or acknowledge me. read more

CAVA bucks stereotypes about airport food and always delivers sharp Mediterranean flavors to the airplane-depressed palate. I always eat here instead of the UA Club when I have a layover at DCA-Reagan - my go-to order is half chicken/half falafel on greens + grains base, with scoops of roasted red pepper hummus, eggplant spread (baba ganoush), and harissa dips. I get all the veggies I can and top it off with lemon herb tahini dressing, for a little over $10. I really should stop getting the falafel, though, since it's pretty mushy/flavorless on the inside. Vegetarians beware, try to wait for a freshly fried batch if you have time before your flight so that you can at least get warm, crispy falafel. read more

What an amazing find. I can't believe this is a Airport food! Had a tremendous experience here. Although a bit on the pricey side (between $15-$20 for most bowls) the quality of ingredients is stellar. The staff is really quick, and even though there was quite a line, I got through it awfully quickly. Highly recommend this to any and all who pass through this airport! read more

CAVA is the perfect food for an airport! I have been to other physical locations before, but I'd never seen one in an airport. Fresh, healthy food that keeps you full for travel; chef's kiss. I had the Greek Salad bowl and was plenty full through my delay, flight, and transition to my final destination. Thank you DCA for putting in healthy eating options. If you've never been to CAVA before, don't be intimated. Their pre-made creations are delicious, and if you need modifications everything can be customized. Definitely go for a greens or grains bowl. read more

Continues to be the best airport food you can get and service is great to. I wish they had these in every airport. Love this place. Fresh great tasting amazing healthy food. read more

I love Cava, but this location gives the smallest portions out of any other location in the dmv. I mean those portions are very skimpy. The staff tends to be pretty friendly but don't let you comment on their skimpy portions, because they will get upset. I frequent this cava pretty often and this is happened to me several times. At no other cava location do I experience this. read more

The same delicious offerings as any other Cava locations, but noticeably smaller portions and a slightly higher price tag. Service is quick and friendly: the whole transaction takes about a minute to complete. Unfortunately, they don't offer fresh mint as one of the toppings, which is unfortunate because that's one of my favorite flavor elements of a Cava salad. Not a dealbreaker, just a minor disappointment. read more

In general, CAVA has good quality ingredients and tasty offerings. As far as airport food goes, this place blows everything else out of the water. I really enjoyed the food from here. I was not impressed with the service though because the cashier was kind of moody. There was a individual who patiently waited for the place to open alongside me. When she started ordering the cashier was not in the mood to answer her questions. This could have been because it was a early morning around 6am. I had made a custom bowl which had lettuce, rice, beans, corn, and other veggies. It was a healthy breakfast bowl. I would definitely go to this fast food somewhere else. read more

We were hungry for breakfast and people said this worked out so we tried it. The server seemed impatient with us, must have been because we didn't know what we were doing because there was no one else in line at 8:30am. I was getting off plane at Reagen and was starving--and this place happened to be right there (location matters). This is kind of a Qdoba or Chipolte for Mediterranean food--a great idea. They have a really full selection of meats, toppings, and veggies. All the people in front of me were getting the food in bowls, but I opted for the pita bread and I was really glad--there pita was thick, fresh, and delicious. For the spread I opted for hummus--and that was really good also. For the meat, I was very tempted by two kinds of meatballs, but went with braised lamb that turned out to be another wise choice. For the veggies, I picked a tomato and onion mix. The whole sandwich was really tasty and I think fairly healthy compared to most airport food. Service was quick and the prices were reasonable. Worth checking out. read more

CAVA - My lamb on pita sandwich - Salad Near Me - Arlington, Virginia

With the opening of Cava Mezze Grill in the B terminal, passengers traveling through gates 1-22 finally have a quality take-away meal option. If you've never been to a Cava Grill, this is a DC-area chain of Chipotle-style quick service restaurants serving healthy Mediterranean-influenced fare rather than Tex-Mex. In other words, it's BETTER. Healthy, filling, spicy if you want, mild if you prefer, great for taking on a plane... My only advice is to use discretion. If you take every topping available, you could end up with a confusing mess of flavors. As for proteins, I've had the felafel, the chicken, the lamb meatballs and the regular meatballs. It's all good! read more

A rare gem in an airport. My preference, especially when I travel, is to eat more vegetarian or plant-based. This is obviously a little bit of a challenge and particularly when we're running through airports. Hence CAVA is a rare gem. They have plenty of meat options as well, but I opted for a brown rice bowl with super greens, grilled vegetables and lentils. They have tons of different options for sauces, various flavors of hummus and grilled veggies. This is my new "go to" spot in Regan/DCA! read more

I liked Cava. I had their pita and chips as an appetizer when I was incoming to DCA and then when I left, I grabbed a bowl with salad, beef meatballs, and the spicy sauces with a lot of the toppings (cucumber, cheese, carrots, etc). The meatballs were so good--great flavor. This was super filling. The harissa sauce is spicy!! But the cheese makes it mild. I loved the array of fresh vegetables too (mmmm tomato!). Pro tip: add the crispy pita pieces. This will add great texture to your bowl. They also have falafel if you want a vegetarian option. Loved this! read more

5/5 Airport food, never thought I'd say those words. I was so shocked I wrote this review immediately after I ate. Cava is a fast chipotle style Mediterranean place with many healthy options. The food is fresh, tasty, and the servicers were nice when delivering food. You have to compare this to it's relevant competition. Is it the best food I have had? No. Is it much better value than everything else in the airport? HECK YES. Anyone giving this place 3 stars or lower is crazy or has not had airport food before. If you have a flight in this terminal, do yourself a favor and go here! At ~12 after tax, it's a filling healthy and importantly tasty meal that is a great value compared to any other venue here. read more

CAVA represents everything I hate about DC fast casual food. It's always over $10 for mediocre food. Everything tastes somehow both too salty yet bland or like it's missing spices to accommodate the masses. I've been forced to eat at CAVA multiple times at DCA, because I'm gluten and dairy free and there's nothing else for me to eat in the terminal. And 90% of the time, I want to hurl afterwards. Never eat their breakfast bowls. They always make me nauseous. read more

Decent Cava location, perfect meal if you're waiting on a flight to depart. It's sort of a zoo with how many people there are trying to grab a bite here. It's quick, tasty, fresh - there were a few toppings/meat options that were a little off (compared to regular locations), but understandable given how busy they seem to always be and the small space/staff they're working with. If you haven't been to Cava, it's fast casual mediterranean/greek. I typically go with a mixed greens and grains bowl, and favorite proteins are either type of meatball, falafel, and chicken. Crazy feta is delicious, and I also love their green harissa. read more

I'm not normally at Terminal B at National, but found myself there this morning. Cava Mezze is a well-known chain in DC and I opted for one of their breakfast bowls. I had it with egg, potatoes, falafel, salsa, and lemon tahini. The eggs were fresh, and so was everything else. The attendant was a tad bit brusque, but not enough to put a damper on my great morning. This was one of the best airport breakfasts I've had in a while. This is a great option for a hot meal if you don't feel like standing in line for eons at the sit-down restaurant across the hall! read more

CAVA - Breakfast bowl with egg, potatoes, falafel, salsa, and lemon tahini - Salad Near Me - Arlington, Virginia

1. Ambiance: The restaurant is inside the airport so not much of an ambiance since it's just a to-go order restaurant. 2. Food: It's the Chipotle of Mediterranean food. You get to pick your base (pita, grain, salad, salad and grains), dips & spread, proteins, toppings, and dressing. I had ordered the grilled chicken bowl with brown rice. I basically asked for all of the toppings to be added, except for cabbage slaw. For the dressing, I had ordered the Spicy Turmeric Tahini. I was extremely full because the dips & spread and the dressing were so creamy. It was surprisingly good. I'm not too big on Mediterranean food; however, I thought it was delicious! 3. Service: The ladies were so nice! I remember forgetting to ask for cheese to be added as one of my toppings. One of the staffs saw me eyeing the cheese when I was getting ready to check out and asked if I wanted to add the cheese. I said, "Yes!" Wonderful customer service Cava staffs! 4. Costs: I thought it was a little pricey, but the restaurant is located in the airport so I understand the high price. The entire bowl, fully loaded, was $10.30. 5. Overall Experience: I really enjoyed the food and service. Great job CAVA and I will be sure to try the CAVA restaurants around town and explore their different proteins, dips & spread, and dressings. Side Notes: N/A read more

Even at the busiest time the cashier provided fantastic service. Great food as always.

Props to CAVA for continuing to innovate the fast casual experience. They already craft tasty custom Mediterranean bowls and now with the opening of their DCA location, they serve up breakfast bowls and wraps complete with eggs, beans and the spices that keep you coming back. If you need a hearty, non sugar filled early breakfast at DCA, this is your place. They also brew Compass Coffee daily so you can avoid that long Starbucks line! read more
