This is for the Cava in Terminal 2, gate area B. Would give a zero if I could. At 8:55 I cautiously approached, and kindly asked if I could order. One of the 6 people working said nope. I said "oh I thought you closed at 9:30. Told me that they actually close at 9. On the DCA website AS WELL AS on their literal storefront it states that they close at 9:30. No apologies. They even looked at the sign stating that they close at 9:30. I totally understand wanting to close early, I've worked in retail and food service. However; over 30 minutes in advance and being rude? Not cool. I ran to the Gate C area, and the lovely people there helped me and were so kind. Grateful I could get a yummy, filling, vegetarian dinner. read more

If you need a healthy meal in the airport this is a pretty decent pick. I got the falafel crunch bowl and it was very fresh and varied. The falafel tasted good, there was a good mix of grains and vegetables, and the cheese/sauce topped it off well. We got a side of pita bread too (didn't realize it was fried but still good). Wasn't too long of a line so it moved very quickly. Oh also if you're going to terminal A - make sure you have at least 10 minutes of walking + another security line to get to your flight. read more

This is for the CAVA location by gate B16 in the airport. As a newer customer, I was excited to try CAVA, but the interactions with the cashier and the final employee in the line felt less welcoming than I expected. I asked a simple question about the most popular sauce and requested it on the side, which seemed to cause some frustration. At the register, the overall demeanor felt like I was an inconvenience. I also wasn't given a receipt and felt the response to my request for one dismissive. I mention this because my friend had a very positive experience at the other CAVA location in the same airport. read more

I've never needed much convincing to stop at Cava, so when I spotted one right next to my departure gate, I already knew what I'd be enjoying on my flight back to Florida. I arrived at the airport a little after 8 a.m. and headed straight to the counter. With only one person ahead of me and it being early in the day, there was no line. The staff, however, seemed a bit sluggish and inattentive. I ordered a bowl with rice and romaine, requesting both chicken and steak as my base. Unfortunately, the employee didn't catch that I wanted a mix and gave me two scoops of chicken. He then informed me that adding steak would be an extra charge. I didn't press the issue, I like my bowl a certain way, so I went ahead and paid for the double meat. I topped it with two scoops of Tzatziki, Fire roasted corn, broccoli, and lemon herb dressing on the side. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and well-prepared. The ingredients complemented each other beautifully, and the portion was generous. I couldn't forget the pita chips! (No I literally did and ran back to order them lol) Salty, crispy, and tasty! I enjoyed most of the bowl while waiting at the gate and snacked on the rest during my flight. read more

Cava is always a solid choice. This location is in the American Airlines area of the airport. Line moves quickly and the food is just as good as any other location I've been to. Very convenient for those waiting to get on flights in this terminal. Would be better if the protein portion size was a bit bigger. read more

Not a bad choice in Reagan DCA airport for relatively healthy food at the airport. I do consider Chipotle a better value and tastier in general, but Cava is a nice option to have. This Cava is conveniently located next to a lot of gates so try to get here before it gets busy. read more

Cava is my go to place for quick Mediterranean meal. I have been to various locations. If I am very hungry and I am craving for lamb with rice and harissa sauce, I stop at cava. I have tried their chicken and meatballs as well everything tastes very good. Only one thing I would want them to do better is falafel. Their falafel for some reason is very crispy from the outside. Flavor can be off as well. Service is good and ambiance is good as well. I do like their selection of drinks. They have different flavors of lemonade. read more

First time having Cava and it was in DCA. Probably not the best location to review but it was still pretty good! Everything tasted very fresh for being airport food and they gave a decent amount of toppings. I did feel a little bit rushed going through the line but I can't complain too much. read more

Service is terrible. Staff are rude and dismissive if you ask them any questions. Pricing is unclear - vegetables is charged as a "protein" (wtf?) but not stated anywhere. Falafels are not fried, they are reheated soft turds. (See photo.) No water - isn't giving free water cups required by law? read more

Absolutely awful experience at CAVA in Reagan Airport that completely ruined our appetite. While ordering, the staff member asking which dip we wanted either didn't hear us or assumed we weren't paying attention--and immediately lost his patience. He started yelling at us and aggressively slamming the dip ladles into the containers with visible anger. When we said we didn't want the dips he was trying to force on us, he got even angrier and threw the ladles back in with so much hostility it felt genuinely uncomfortable. The whole exchange was shocking and upsetting, especially for a quick service spot in an airport where you'd expect at least basic courtesy. We left feeling completely shaken and no longer hungry. Honestly, I've never had customer service this bad anywhere, let alone at a CAVA. Will definitely avoid this location in the future. read more

I recently visited the CAVA location at DCA airport, choosing it over other options because the line was shorter. Unfortunately, I quickly regretted that decision due to the rude and unprofessional behavior of the staff. All employees present were women of Hispanic descent, and while they spoke basic English, communication was still a struggle, making the situation more frustrating. I ordered a grains and greens bowl with half chicken and half veggies. I noticed that when the server prepared my bowl, she didn't add any Brussels sprouts. Politely, I asked if I could have just a small piece, as I saw some in the serving area. Her response was dismissive: she said that would cost extra. I tried to clarify, even offering to swap out some of the other veggies in my bowl if that would make it easier. Instead of trying to understand or accommodate my request, she turned to a coworker and manager and began speaking in Spanish, seemingly unaware that I could understand some of their conversation. The manager, without acknowledging me or asking what the issue was, simply stated to the server that I would have to pay extra. This flat, unhelpful response showed a complete lack of interest in customer service. The experience was extremely disappointing. The dismissive attitude and lack of basic courtesy from the staff made the encounter frustrating and unpleasant. It was clear they had little regard for customer service, and I felt unwelcome and ignored. I won't be returning to this location. read more

I stopped in here while in between flights at DCA airport. I'm glad I did as it turned out to be a great find. It's set up like a Chipotle, you order from a line. You can order from the menu or create your own bowl. I created my own with fresh supergreens, kale, some grains, hummus, picked onions, falafel, pickled veggies and a few other toppings I don't recall right now. Add in some spicy sauce and I was off. The bowl itself was very good, fresh veggies, falafel well cooked and everything was quite good. The service was quick and friendly. The food prep area was clean and looked well tended to. I was on my way quickly and they have some tables nearby where you can sit and enjoy your meal. I certainly liked the variety of food they had available and even better in an airport which can get quite routine. Cava, however is a nice option that I will be back to again given the chance. read more

It was early morning and was worried about what I would be able to eat at the airport. It is usually a struggle to find something that is both gluten free and tasty, especially at 8 am. To my surprize, this Cava location opens at 5:30am. They offer different options with pitta wraps, bowls or salads. I ordered a custom salad and told them which toppings to put. They were out of arugula (really? At 7am?) so I tried their SuperGreens salad mix, which was pretty good. I got hummus, red pepper hummus and harisa, stewed lamb, and almost every veggie option available. Overall, it was pretty good and on-par with other Cava locations I tried. However, it is a bit more expensive. I guess everything has a higher price tag at the airport. I would definitely eat there again read more

I used to really love Cava, but noticed a decline in service a few years ago and hardly go anymore. I travel in/out of DCA weekly and have seen this Cava location many times, but recently just stopped in. Service was terrible, so was the quality of the food! The guy scooping out the lettuce was stingy with it and wen I asked for a little more, he literally just gave me a few more pieces of lettuce. His dismissive attitude was unnecessary and ridiculous. He needs to find a new job if he doesn't want to work there! The quality of the entire bowl was not what I've previously gotten at other Cava locations. I'm done with this chain at this location. Definitely won't be back. read more

While waiting for our flight, we wanted to have a quick meal before boarding. Cava had the shortest line and seemed like a good option. We ordered a create-your-own Grains Bowl with Saffron Basmati Rice and Black Lentils, added tzatziki, hummus, Crazy Feta, and Harissa, chose the Braised Lamb and Grilled Chicken as proteins, topped with Persian Cucumbers, Fire Roasted Corn, and Avocado, and dressed with a garlic dressing. The lamb was way too gamey for me, but the chicken, while slightly dry, was great with the rest of the mix and toppings; I do like Cava's Crazy Feta, as it's salty and savory; I just wished they weren't so stingy with the portions of the spreads/dips! The food could have been more hot, as it seemed a bit lukewarm to me. We also had the Pineapple Apple Mint and the Classic Lemonade for beverages; I thought both were a bit watered down, but the hubs enjoyed them. If you're looking for something semi-healthy and are in a mood for a quick meal, Cava can be a choice at DCA! +create-your-own Grains Bowls +watered down drinks +located at DCA read more

This seemed like the best option for the time I spent at the airport waiting for my flight. The line was fairly long, but moved quickly. They had a plethora of options for greens, carbs, proteins, and toppings. I, of course, overloaded with garlic sauce, tzatziki yogurt, harissa spicy sauce, and hummus. The whole bowl was exactly what I needed and I would definitely stop again! Everything was quite delicious and left me feeling light and refreshed. Plus, the portion was HUGE! I highly recommend this stop if you're at the airport and wondering what Vite to grab. Thank you for the great airport meal and safe travels to all! read more

I've had a lot of airport restaurant experiences and this was the worst. I decided to try Cava for the first time here at Reagan DC airport and I wish I had waited to get back home. I had questions and NO ONE was helpful. They all seemed irritated that I was asking for clarification. They had signs posted and I asked about an item on the sign, the employee that was helping me told me they didn't have it. When I told her it was on the sign she pointed it out to me. They actually did have it, she just didn't understand me. I think the language barrier had a bit to do with my experience. The gentleman who cashed me out was empathetic that I had a poor experience and there wasn't a language barrier with him. It seems like it's okay for the people making the order to not understand you, but the person taking the money needs to understand you. I'll try a different location and see if I have a better experience. I'm not even hungry anymore. read more

The food was good. But the service was terrible!!! It was my first time having Cava and the people in front of me seemed like it's their first time too. The guy doing the dips was super rude. He didn't crack a smile I asked if they have lemon herb dressing.. he stared at me and point at what I now know as the dips. He didn't say a word and just frowned the whole time. He looked super annoyed! So I just picked whatever I saw first he slaps it in my bowl then he switched to the toppings area and the whole time he just had a poker face on and was just giving all the customers attitude. I mean David, will it hurt you to be a little nicer and provide some nice or decent customer service? Jeesssshhhh. Overall though the food was good but the service was terrible! read more

Cava yum... a jumbled up mess where you don't really understand what the hell you're eating!! It's supposed to be healthy though right??! Maybe, maybe not ... the verdict is still out but it does portray the image, I'll give them that. The service is quick and confusing. Nobody knows what to put in the bowl and neither do I, I point and go with the flow. It's still kind of the best option at the airport so ya gotta do it! Would I pay my own money for this, no but if corporate is gonna do that me then go for it!!! They need new healthy options inside the area. The ambiance is also mediocre for an airport. read more

Always look forward to picking up some food from Cava before heading out on a flight from Reagan. It feels like a more healthy and enjoyable option than some of the other places in the airport. This time I had the greens and grains bowl with grilled chicken. I added some eggplant, harissa, hummus, olives, and cheese to my bowl. I also added some chimichurri sauce and harissa sauce. The bowl comes with some pita bread, but the little piece I received was hard and stale, like it was leftover from last week. Every employee here seems like they truly hate their job. Despite this, since we do not have Cava where I live, I continue to frequent this Cava when at the airport preparing for a flight. read more

I wish I could eat here everyday. The food is fresh and so good. Pita chips are my fave. The staff at this airport location were rude and didn't speak English. There was a very long line but I chose to wait cause I don't get to eat this very often. There is a huge piece of plexi to cover the food and I assume was put up around social distancing. It is so tall and thick that it prevents the workers from being able to hear, even someone speaking louder than normal conversation tone. The airport is already loud, this makes it worse. They messed up multiple orders then wouldn't fix them, including mine. Not pleasant but food was good even though the order was wrong. read more

When I read that this Mediterranean Fast Casual concept was coming to Atlanta, I had to try. I stumbled on it hen flying back home to ATL, and decided why not try it now! The place reminds me of a Mediterranean/Middle East version of Chipotle. You can choose from Pita or Rice bowl. I opted for the rice bowl. They have an abundance of options to choose from, from Yellow Jasmine and White rice Jasmine, lamb, beef, chicken, Falafel... You can add lentils, roasted corn, lettuce, Feta Cheese. You have a lot of options!!! The ingredients are all fresh and the flavor is truly authentic! It's healthy most of all.  I will take this over Halal Guys any day! Last, I was impressed by the number of spices/ sauces you can add. I opted for Tzatziki, but also got a spicier sauce on the side that packed a nice punch. Usually when restaurants offer spices they are quite mild and bland but there's was pretty good. Very fresh tasting again. read more

$4 for a side of tzatziki. Ridiculous. The service is poor and inefficient. Also the condiment section with toppings are all scattered across eachother. I hate pickled items and there was disgusting vinegar vegetables in my pita. You get half a tiny scoop of hummus on your pita. That goes for anything in the initial phase of pita setup. I did not feel comfortable in the area that this was located. If you want to read the menu you're blocking a lot of foot traffic and will absolutely disturb the flow of the gates in that area. I would highly advise against eating this trash. Not to mention the $4 tzatziki tastes like absolutely nothing. The chicken is great if you like chewing on tendons and other throwaway parts of a chicken. The vegetables aren't fresh. Overall this is the worst Greek food I've ever tried in my life. read more

Food is awesome, probably the healthiest airport option and priced the same as airport fast food. Easy to find seating nearby at the long table commons. I don't get why some reviews complain about language barriers. Come on. I didn't notice any, and anyway, all you would have to do is point at what you want. Lol. I'm grateful for this option to accommodate many different dietary needs, and the perfectly good service too! Thank you food service workers!!! read more

I first tried Cava in Houston so I'm not new to the cuisine but it's my first time creating my own unique bowl. They have so many sauces, their saffron rice and lentils are stellar. I was rather pleased with my salad bowl with chicken. Not bad at all for airport food! The mixed salad was very fresh, the chicken tender and savory, and the baba ghanoush very flavorful. Cava at 7am? You bet I will! I passed on over here at the Crack of dawn, because I knew that I would not have another opportunity to eat again until late in the afternoon. Here at the airport even some of the hamburger restaurants are open at this hour. I figured that food from here would be the healthiest option. Instead of putting too much thought into it and creating my own bowl, I decided to order one of their chef curated bowls. The Harissa Avocado bowl included harass honey chicken (the protein!), feta cheese, humus, tomatoes, onions, cucumbers, pickles, and onions. For kicks, I also requested cabbage to be added as an additional topping. With the bottle of Aquafina water, I was all set! I love Cava and was excited to get food from there at the airport (DCA). The food of course was good as usual. The portions that were given were sad. I paid $20 for the smallest dollops of hummus and harissa and the meat was measures in a small sauce cup. when I asked for more protein I was told I would be charged more. It was explained to me that they had to measure per the company policy. I said the server did not fill the cup completely and I just wanted what I was paying for. They refused and wanted to make me a new bowl. I didn't have time for that nor did it make sense to waste the food. What a disappointment because as much as I like Cava I will never eat at Cava again. read more

This place is a total cheater. I order the Chicken bowl. then when I check out, I saw that the Chinken cost extra. I ask the cashier, she said you order spicy chicken, which cost extra. If it is the standard chicken, it is included in the chicken bowl meal. but nobody tells me that the spicy chicken costs extra. When I try to pay, I saw there is a break stick on my bowl. I thought it is free. When I ask the cashier, she said it costs extra. it is only free for a small bread. I was shocked. I didn't even order the bread. Clearly they want to charge you extra on purpose without telling you. I tried to argue with the cashier, but she tried to pass the buck by saying that I am just the cashier. I am so angry.
