I got diarrhea from just reading the 3-page report. All kinds of health violations with most of them being repeat violations. I have never seen a report worse than this one. Spooky Action ________ To: The Virginia Department of Agricultural and Consumer Services (VDACS) Date-Time: July 11, 2020, 7:00PM EDT I just noticed a Yelp review re: The Trading Post. It's from 12/18/2017 but it is the sort of thing I would expect when dealing with a gas station sandwich shop. The problem is magnified by the fact that The Trading Post is a hub for area tradesmen, many of whom do not wear masks to protect themselves from Covid-19. So it's an easy path from customer, to their breathed-upon money, to the cashier, to that cashier also spewing his/her no-mask oral spray and Covid-19 fingers onto sandwiches, to the customer's stomach, to the emergency room and, finally, to the graveyard. All because some poorly trained individual couldn't be bothered or doesn't take this matter seriously. I have to agree with the reviewer that it is absolutely deplorable if the people at The Trading Posts are not, at least currently, taking this matter seriously. Questions: * Has any VDACS staff addressed this issue with The Trading Post? * Is VDACS requiring food handlers to wear masks and gloves? * If so, are there fines for noncompliance? * Does VDACS have any view about the The Trading Post's current health awareness? * What do I do if I witness open-food handling w/o masks or gloves? Note: I will reevaluate this review after receiving a response from VDACS.

I'm gonna have the best food around or else I won't offer it" - what I'd imagine the owner of Trading Post said to himself when he opened up shop. There are two types of people that open up restaurants: one does so in order to make money. The other to share their joy of good food with their community. The Trading Post falls under the latter

I love this place because they are nice to me. They remember my from year to year, and they just make me feel welcome and happy. Okay, Ashley's Market does that too, but they are way further up the road! Oh, and my husband loves this place because the gas is corn free, and the price is always right. Plus, he gets a kick out of filling from the old style pumps from before the pumps became gas dispensing ATM machines that play non-stop commercials. Parking is limited, but if you live in Wintergreen, Graves Market should be your go-to stop before you start up the mountain and check-in before you go because there is not a cell service at that location.

They have several prepared food options inside too, from a pizza place, to sushi, to bowls, desserts, etc. I tried one of their signature BBQ chicken bowls special $10 bowls, and a $5 slice of their pizza with blush sauce, spinach & sausage. The pizza slice was very large, delicious, filling and I would try it again. The BBQ chicken bowl was tasty, worth $10, would definitely get it again.

Its location right next to Planet Fitness makes it incredibly convenient for a post-workout stop, whether you are grabbing something quick and healthy or planning meals for the week. Finishing a workout and walking into Wegmans feels like a reward in itself. The fresh foods section is excellent, with a wide variety of prepared meals, fresh produce, bakery items, and ready-to-eat options that make it easy to eat well without a lot of effort. The dine-in area is clean, spacious, and comfortable, perfect for sitting down with a quick meal or coffee instead of rushing out the door. This is a large footprint store, but it is well laid out and inviting, which turns a regular grocery run into more of an experience. There is so much to explore that it genuinely makes grocery shopping feel like a bit of an adventure rather than a chore. Between the convenience, quality, and overall atmosphere, this Wegmans is a standout and a place I actually enjoy going back to.

When you return empty bottles, the machine does NOT provide a return ticket. On several occasions, my husband has been asked by the lead Sales Associate for his exchange ticket. We have briefly interacted with this lovely woman for years; however, the fact is she knows the Primo machine does not provide exchange tickets when she's asking you for the ticket. On another occasion, a younger Sales Associate did the same thing and then told my husband they are trying to make sure people are being honest. We cannot drink our well water and purchase Primo exchange bottles at Food Lion routinely. To avoid this accusatory encounter, I have now resorted to self-checkout. To do so, simply search for the product by typing "Primo" and select the 5 gallon exchange. The lead Sales Associate will still give judgmental looks, but she can't do anything about self-checkout personal accountability. The honor system does not work if you're going to routinely accuse your customer base of theft. Fix the Primo exchange machine and then you will fix the problem.
