    Chicken tenders

Great food and service, great workers could talk to the guy in the photo for hours, the chicken tenders are very good.

I absolutely love shopping here. They have many deli cheeses and meats to choose from and an abundance of homemade soups, sauces, salads, dips, pickles....and BREAD! Do not miss the homemade rolls and bread! Or the homemade Pimento Cheese Spread! The Pimento Cheese is the best anywhere and worth the trip for that reason alone! Looking for old fashioned candies, they have those too! When you walk in you will be greeted with the aroma of baked breads and fried pies which are located right up front. Service is always with kind words and a smile.

The hand pies are so freakin' awesome I recommend you get at least one in each flavor. Lemon and blackberry are my faves.

I had been excited to visit this restaurant since hearing such great things about it - it did not disappoint! The menu changes daily so check the website to ensure you like what's being offered. Most often you will. All entrées are served with a salad and bread, and the same sides of a starch and vegetable. This Saturday night I had the yellowfin tuna and it was so tender and cooked perfectly. M husband had the chicken, and while he does not prefer chicken thighs he really enjoyed his meal. We enjoyed a glass each of "house" Pinot noir and since wine is what they do very well it was a great choice since we didn't want a whole bottle. The ambience is country comfort and the service was charming and welcoming. This is after all a small town; the food quality was fresh and delicious. Will be back, and next time with friends.

Food (5/5): Best grilled cheese! We always split one and get the daily soup. We've not been disappointed. If you get a bottle of wine you pay a corkage fee. Service (5/5): Always nice service here! Ambiance (4/5): This reminds me of being in an eclectic country house. The rustic decor reminds me of a grandma- perfect for the country grandma vibe!

The issue with this restaurant is that they need to minimize two things: the selection on their menu is as cluttered as their "gift shop." They have some interesting ideas on the menu but it needs to be revamped and the gift shop is cluttered and claustrophobic with no real concept. If they are going to have a gift shop it needs to focus on one to two concepts (my preference being a wine selection).

Can you say, "Fish bowl"? lol, we were the youngest people there, and we aren't whippersnappers anymore, sonny-boy! But once you get past that rather awkward moment, this is a pleasant place to have lunch & try something with a blast from the past that isn't the same-ol, same-ol tiresome franchise. I had what they call the "Mexican Dream," which is a baked potato topped with chili con carne & cheese. I wanted to love it, but it fell short. I want to try something else soon, because they have an intriguing variety. They have 'different' (meaning more unique) offerings on the menu, but our food seemed to be re-heated frozen fare, and we have not gone back quite yet, but plan to one day. They might have been having an off-day, and everyone was so friendly that they deserve a second chance to impress.
