I've been working with CATZ Physical Therapy since July 31st, on average, twice a week. Both Mitch (an intern that was first assigned to me) and Chris (Mitch's mentor, who eventually took on some of his patients) have been extremely courteous, professional and helpful at all times. They have answered all of my questions, have pushed me past my limits and have helped me recover the mobility, dorsiflexion, and strength that my left ankle had lost after my ORIF ankle surgery. The front desk people are also incredibly helpful and kind, always trying to accommodate my schedule and being flexible when some changes have to be made. Very happy with my time here and looking forward to working with them for several more weeks as I completely recover from this injury.

This place is really cool. I liked how they have a nutrionist there and crosstraining as well as physical therapy. They seemed very knowledgable and I felt comfortable there. I'm going to them for my dislocated shoulder and fractured ankle. And as soon as I get better, I'm going to try out one of their classes!! Oh and on my prescription it says formally known as Professional Orthopedic & Sports Care On my second time there, I really noticed the pain level going down. I felt there was improvement. This is normally what they do: 15-20 warm pad on injured area. The physical therapist then bends and massages injured area, (in my case my shoulder) Then I do a series of arm exercises using my whole body, not just my shoulder. (about 30 min) Then I get a cool down of a icy wrap for about 12 min. And I feel so great afterwards!! I'm addicted.

Eric goes far above and beyond in his support: - He's incredibly dedicated. His attention to detail, check-ins, and support go far beyond any trainer I've worked with. - He's focused on real, lasting change, not quick fixes. Mindset is just as important as movement. - He's tough (in the best way!): he challenges you so you can discover strength you didn't know you had. Eric believed in me before I did. That kind of support is rare - and life-changing. Working with him has been one of the best decisions (and investments!) I've ever made. I'm so grateful to have found Eric! He changed my life.

My Mom is getting back into the gym after a stint of severe knee/hip arthritis and her focus has been on resistance training/strengthening. My Dad has had a history of falls and his focus is on balance and resistance training. I can already see that my Dad is more confident in his walking and both of them are excited for every session. Life is all about pushing limits (even into your 70's/80's and beyond) and I've been super impressed with Eric's care, motivation and individually crafted plans for each of them. Eric has excellent communication skills and it is apparent that he truly enjoys what he does.

She has so much knowledge and is very caring and supportive. The class was with 6 individuals with very different stages of fitness journey and needs. (Some have bad shoulders, injured body parts etc.) Tracey gave everybody with very customized, individual cues and progression/regression, and I am amazed how she helped everyone to push just right amount so that everyone can get good workout while not injuring themselves. The whole class flow was amazingly choreographed with proper techniques and hands-on adjustments. I am at the phase to undo my bad habits and correct my alignments deviations. Without me communicating verbally, Tracey understood my intentions and guided me through the whole class. She gave me so many aha moments and I finally found some of my muscle groups firing which I haven't felt for years. She has such a sweet, nurturing personality, and it was such a pleasant and fun experience to move in her class! Highly highly recommend to anybody - from a person who has never taken a Pilates class, or recovering from injuries, to a Pilates enthusiast looking for learning from an instructor at the mastery level of arts of Pilates.

So they let me signed up and I had Chris Mallett worked with me. He firstly told me that if I don't have doctors note he can't really do much, then I said I am very close by, I can go home and grab it for him. He immediately told me that he is leaving soon. The front desk told me it's about one hour session, but Chris seems to be in a rush, he didn't have patience with me. He said even though if I leave the office now, they are going to charge me. I was very upset, I did not get informed that I should bring the doctors note, also he didn't do anything with me yet. When I got home, I did some research about his name and the history of this place, it seems like Chris and his wife are both the owners and they live in South Pasadena. But how rude he treated me today, I was speechless! I told the front desk that I did not get treated by the therapist and I am not going to pay for this visit. She seems to be understanding. I hope I haven't been charged for this unpleasant visit. As I live very close by, I also signed up all the paperwork and my credit card information, so I think I will come again to see another therapist in April anyways, at least I can have a better judgment of this place after I get my next appointment.

While a tad more expensive than your average LA fitness or 24-hour fitness, they have plenty of lifting gear and equipment enough for anyone to use. The membership is pay as you go, so you pay every week/month at a time. They have cheaper alternatives like pay for 1 day or week if you just want to try it. Plus the last Friday of the month is only $5 for the day. Parking lot is small, and at peak hours (around 5-7pm) it does get crowded, and you may need to end up street parking. Also in the mornings, the door is open to members, but I've walked in a few times without anyone at the front desk checking me in. Might be some security concerns there, but ultimately, the community that comes to this gym is tight knit and knows proper gym etiquette, and the staff knows how to provide for their members. This gym caters to those wanting to get more experience in the gym, and the community at this gym pushes everyone to getting stronger

The members are in my opinion very serious about their workouts and it is a welcoming environment. Sometimes I have an awkward time of it trying to adjust a machine and I am learning something new all of the time but the staff is always helpful. Thank you Devin, you have helped me out a few times and I appreciate it. I come here 4 days a week and I look forward to working out here. I am over having any type of anxiety and I have lost 20 lbs. My whole life I have really struggled with being happy in my own skin. In about 8 weeks, Ben took me from being uncomfortable taking my shirt off to me lounging around completely confident in myself. He gave me a full meal plan, taught me about the food I was eating, walked me through the nutrition and exercise program, and checked in with me regularly to not only make sure I was on track--but that I was happy. When my gym was operational, I was lifting MAYBE 3 times a week, then it closed and we switched to doing at home workouts with hardly any equipment. Even with the switch, the body fat was sliding off. I became comfortable and excited that people wanted to touch my stomach--or should I say my abs! I am beyond grateful to this man and have referred him to everyone I know that: struggles with their weight, confidence, and strength. Many coaches narrow down on a specialty--strength, weight loss, physical therapy--Ben's specialty is the human body in general.
