I decided to venture in and experience real southern food first hand. First, this is first come first serve honor system type of restaurant. Don't wait for the host to sit you because there don't have one. Second, grab the menu of the day and check the items that you want to eat. Third, give the selected menu items to the waitress and wait for the goodness to arrive. The food is good and you can tell it is real true southern food. The chicken was moist and the mac and cheese was cheesy. They have real southern sweet tea. If you are in the area and deciding to eat between a chain restaurant or a local restaurant? We felt like family. The owner stopped and chatted with each table for a few minutes after the main course. The B&B was also a pleasure. We had a special need and the owner was more than happy to accommodate us. The room was cozy and had a couple of easy chairs that you could watch TV from. There was also a couple of bags of snacks and a fridge stocked with sodas and water, all complimentary. If you love animals, there is a resident cat who makes his way along the outside porch as an ambassador to all the guests. There are also some donkeys and horses on property who love to get their heads scratched.
