It has probably been 50 years sine I was here. I did not remember anything about the restaurant. Everyone in my party had the fried shrimp & baked sweet potato or sweet potato fries. Some of the best fried shrimp I have had in a while. And the sweet potato was delicious . I had only one bite of one of the hush puppies. It wasn't very good & a little raw in the middle. I think I would like to come back again & try some other items on the menu. Or maybe l'll just get the fried shrimp again. read more

My daughter and I received the largest steak I have ever seen on a plate! Literally, it was huge! Food was really good and great folks!! It's a little out of the way and GPS ends before you get to the restaurant but just keep going and follow the signs. You won't be disappointed!! read more

Extremely disappointed! We arrived at 5:25 pm thinking we had plenty of time to eat and make the Schoolhouse Players production at 7. Almost one hour after our order was sent to kitchen, we got our food. Dozens of people came in after us, got food, some even finished and left. The owner calmly walked around while his two waitresses worked their butts off. He never pitched in to help. He never came over to explain what the problem was or to try to expedite service. When we finally got our food. It definitely was not worth the wait. The shrimp were large and appeared tasty, but in fact, had almost no taste except for excessive salt. Definitely not wild caught shrimp. Oysters, scallops, all tasted like they were battered in salt. Cheese grits, seriously, grits with cold cheese sprinkled on top is NOT cheese grits. The owner/ slowest cashier in the world, graciously halved the 40 dollar bill. Still not a bargain. Neat old location. It deserves better management and better fare. read more

What a surprise to find this hidden spot on a Sunday noon to eat out. The outside home building look should not fool you.... This is under New owner and told me would be having a gran opening in 2 weeks. The inside is a big place and even has a private room for special occasion... If you are looking for seafood this is the place to be... Great flavor on their fried flounder and shrimps were awesome... Ask for their sweet potato..It has been more than 18 years I have not had this amazing moisture baked sweet potato... Loved it... They also have a small salad bar... Only opens noon from 5:00 opens.. Thursday-Sunday . No reservations needed; but if you plan a group activity I believe you should call. The map is incorrect and spots restaurant out of were is supposed to be...
