The roses looked to be thrown in and not arranged, they were all different heights, but not in a good way. I had to take the better flowers of the 2 arrangements and arrange them myself. It was so thoughtful of those who sent the flowers, I just feel that they did not get their moneys worth.

But, yesterday, they delivered a plant to my house in 100 degree heat & left it sitting on the front porch on the hot brick. They did ring the doorbell, because I saw it on my Ring App. Tried to tell her on the ring doorbell audio we were still out of town for the funeral, but they'd already left. Got home late that afternoon & plant was starting to wilt. Called the shop and ask what the protocol was to leave plants in hot weather outside for delivery, without a courtesy call. The floral designer answered & was very rude to me & hung up on me 2 times. I asked her to have the owner call me, & as of today at noon, I still have not received a call. I'm very disappointed that I didn't get a phone call, explanation, or just an apology. That's all I wanted.

On Friday…read morebefore Mother's Day, I discovered that my 90-year-old mother (who lives 3 hours away from me) had not yet received the gift I sent her. So I called 2 florists in Burleson whom I'd used previously, but both were totally booked for Mother's Day deliveries. I found Funkytown Flowers and called them. The woman who answered said that they had been closed because of COVID-19 and were just then reopening, and yes they could take my order and have it delivered. The next morning my mother called me gushing with admiration over the beauty of the arrangement she had just received. (My mother doesn't give praise lightly, plus she's had a green thumb all her life and raised all kinds of plants, flowers, and roses.) She said the arrangement was so gorgeous and natural-looking that it looked like everything was freshly hand-picked by someone who loved flowers, and she insisted that all of our future floral orders must come from this same place. My mother was thrilled; I was relieved and thrilled; and I give Funkytown Flowers my highest recommendation, along with gratitude for giving my mother (who's been in lockdown in a senior living apartment for the past 3+ weeks) such a lovely Mother's Day gift.
