But, yesterday, they delivered a plant to my house in 100 degree heat & left it sitting on the front porch on the hot brick. They did ring the doorbell, because I saw it on my Ring App. Tried to tell her on the ring doorbell audio we were still out of town for the funeral, but they'd already left. Got home late that afternoon & plant was starting to wilt. Called the shop and ask what the protocol was to leave plants in hot weather outside for delivery, without a courtesy call. The floral designer answered & was very rude to me & hung up on me 2 times. I asked her to have the owner call me, & as of today at noon, I still have not received a call. I'm very disappointed that I didn't get a phone call, explanation, or just an apology. That's all I wanted.

So I called 2 florists in Burleson whom I'd used previously, but both were totally booked for Mother's Day deliveries. I found Funkytown Flowers and called them. The woman who answered said that they had been closed because of COVID-19 and were just then reopening, and yes they could take my order and have it delivered. The next morning my mother called me gushing with admiration over the beauty of the arrangement she had just received. (My mother doesn't give praise lightly, plus she's had a green thumb all her life and raised all kinds of plants, flowers, and roses.) She said the arrangement was so gorgeous and natural-looking that it looked like everything was freshly hand-picked by someone who loved flowers, and she insisted that all of our future floral orders must come from this same place. My mother was thrilled; I was relieved and thrilled; and I give Funkytown Flowers my highest recommendation, along with gratitude for giving my mother (who's been in lockdown in a senior living apartment for the past 3+ weeks) such a lovely Mother's Day gift.

The photo from which you order it shows it in a bigger basket with a handle over the top and the plants and flowers towering over that handle..... What was delivered was the smallest plain display I've ever seen at a funeral. It was so small it was placed beside the sign in book on the top of a small podium.... There was PLENTY OF ROOM! There was a tiny wicker basket that looked tattered, there was no handle at all the big leaf plant had brown spots on it and a hole in the biggest leaf. The entire display might have been 7-8 inches tall by 7-8 inches wide at the widest point! I was sooo embarrassed because it was right on the podium. And the card itself was just as big as the display with my name right up top on it! I paid 130+ for this crap! I wrote a review to the symphony store describing what was delivered. They in turn called the local florist. That dude (Braden)is pissed that I wrote a review. He texted me last Friday as I was in the airport heading out of town. I texted him that I was out of town until Monday. He texted me again today saying "since I haven't heard from you" he continued to tell me that "The Sympathy Store was a gatherer and he only received 70.00 for that order." That sent me over the edge. #1. That HE expected ME to contact him not the other way around! And #2... trying to justify that crap he sent by telling me he only got 70.00!!! He also mentioned he doesn't even know what the display was supposed to look like! Well I can 100% guarantee if you placed the photo of what I received online No-one would ever order it! Not only was it ridiculously tiny, ugly basket but it had an orange Christmas bow on it! This was a funeral!!! I DO NOT CARE HOW MUCH MONEY YOU MADE SIR! I KNOW WHAT I SPENT AND WHAT I ORDERED LOOKED NOTHING LIKE WHAT WAS DELIVERED! WHEN YOU RECIEVED THE ORDER FROM THE SYMPATHY STORE YOU SHOULD HAVE GONE ONLINE TO SEE WHAT I ORDERED!!!! Dang!!
