Joe told me my vehicle 100% needed a new motor due to a symptom he found in my engine and that the…read morevehicle was worth maybe $1000 if I wanted to sell it without repairing it. I expected and planned to be out of pocket at least $5,000 and was really upset about it. I spent the money for all the parts Joe said I needed and it burnt a pretty big hole in my wallet. I then took it to Chevrolet in Springfield the very next day and they did an inspection of the motor and found the same symptoms as well. They then took my motor apart and told me to look at it with them. The head gaskets, timing chain, head bolts, and valve cover gaskets that Joe told me I needed to replace were 100% fine and needed no reason to repair. All it needed was a new thermostat housing and coolant leak to attend to. I don't believe EMS physically looked at anything in my motor and just gave me a quote for a new motor after finding one symptom that could realistically mean a lot of things that could be wrong. I ended up only paying under $500 for the repairs and the car had zero problems after the repairs and I ended up selling it for much more profit then what I bought it for. I wouldn't have a problem with any of this if Joe just took the time to physically look into the problem instead of just telling me that I needed a new motor after finding one thing wrong and then just stopped looking in to it. I just feel like they tried to cheat me in giving them $3,000 to order a new motor and pay the $2,000 in labor when all I needed was just a thermostat. I won't be taking any of my vehicles to Joe anymore. He's a very friendly man but only did half the job.

We took our truck to them after it had died on…read moreus on I44, after weeks of them having our truck we received no answers on what was going on with the truck but was told they could replace a part but that wasnt going to guarantee that it would work. Very soon after being told that they called us and told us the truck had been broke into and we needed to come pick it up. They told us it was our responsibility to fix the windows, ignition etc that was busted up but after asking them for video footage they decided to change their mind and said they would fix the window. We scheduled a tow truck to pick up the truck after the window people finished, when the truck arrived to our house we were surprised to find every piece they had taken off of the motor inside the truck just thrown in there. Several mechanics have told us they should have never done that and atleast put it back together. Putting the truck back together there were several missing parts that we had to pay for, and the "New" harness we paid for(through Lems) had several missing plugs. So in the end we paid a pretty penny to get NO answers, A truck that was broke into, and an engine with several missing parts and half the engine left in the cabin of the truck!!
