He didn't seem like a professional knowledgeable mechanic to me. My car (volvo) is so easy to work on and never had mechanic perplexed as to what the issue was. First hour + he spoke about being saved. I'm happy for him, but I pray he actually lives by what the bible says how to live and treat others. I did pay him $100 for gas???? more than enough. I don't believe his feedbacks are from actual happy clients. I don't believe I will ever call him again. He is too young to have enough knowledge to work on cars is my belief. Lesson I learned was to get "full name" of the "mechanic" so i can check his background. As he did admit to being a drug addict. Apparently, he still is. My husband checked his background after I got his name to make check out to; and saw more than what he stated. I foolishly texted him my vin number as requested; something someone should NEVER do!! But thank God my husband will monitor it for me. Thank God I am well protected by my family and neighbors who all have vids as well as myself on our homes. NOT SURE WHY MY REVIEW IS GONE, I KNOW U TRIED HAVING YELP REMOVE IT BUT THEY REFUSED TO DO SO, AFTER I GAVE THEM THE TRUTH. SO HERE IT IS AGAIN!! 12.12.213

Joe told me my vehicle 100% needed a new motor due to a symptom he found in my engine and that the…read morevehicle was worth maybe $1000 if I wanted to sell it without repairing it. I expected and planned to be out of pocket at least $5,000 and was really upset about it. I spent the money for all the parts Joe said I needed and it burnt a pretty big hole in my wallet. I then took it to Chevrolet in Springfield the very next day and they did an inspection of the motor and found the same symptoms as well. They then took my motor apart and told me to look at it with them. The head gaskets, timing chain, head bolts, and valve cover gaskets that Joe told me I needed to replace were 100% fine and needed no reason to repair. All it needed was a new thermostat housing and coolant leak to attend to. I don't believe EMS physically looked at anything in my motor and just gave me a quote for a new motor after finding one symptom that could realistically mean a lot of things that could be wrong. I ended up only paying under $500 for the repairs and the car had zero problems after the repairs and I ended up selling it for much more profit then what I bought it for. I wouldn't have a problem with any of this if Joe just took the time to physically look into the problem instead of just telling me that I needed a new motor after finding one thing wrong and then just stopped looking in to it. I just feel like they tried to cheat me in giving them $3,000 to order a new motor and pay the $2,000 in labor when all I needed was just a thermostat. I won't be taking any of my vehicles to Joe anymore. He's a very friendly man but only did half the job.
