For 13 years I had a shower enclosure that did not leak. After that amount of time some of the components had begun to wear out. Instead of replacing them with the same newer components, Nick ripped everything out and replaced them with different materials. Then the shower door leaked at multiple locations and he could never repair them. After paying Nick more than anyone else I gave up and called Hobson Glass who came with a professional team and replaced everything with the same components as 13 years ago and now -nothing leaks. I recently had a very bad experience with this business. I purchased a piece of glass over the telephone. I gave the very nice girl on the phone the exact measurements. I picked up the glass and with great difficulty carried it into my home only to find it was ten inches too wide. I called the Catskill Mountain Glass Company to get their help. This proved frustrating and is still not resolved. They said to bring it back and they would recut it. I explained that as it was their mistake and I was a senior citizen who had tremendous difficulty in carrying it into my home and I couldn't carry it out again without fear of breaking it or my back. Nick, who refused to give me his last name said he would charge me 125 dollars to get the glass and fix it. I suggested that as it was their mistake I shouldn't be charged. He then loudly spoke over me and kept telling me it was my problem. I finally offered to compromise and split the cost of the delivery fee with him and he refused. He didn't care that he made the mistake and he didn't want to find a way to make it right. Please don't support this unethical small minded person or his business. read more

I had great experiences with Catskill Mountain Glass. They ordered me a replacement piece of tempered glass that fit like a glove, and they were able to clean up a chipped 1/2" thick plate glass table top at a reasonable price. read more

Terrible experience from the start. I have dealt with glass companies before and this was by far my worst experience. Zero communication, the problems started when the glass took longer than expected to come in and they never notified me, I had to call and ask what was going on, then to me making 3 different trips out there with the glass being either incorrect or simply not there. The last call I made to them was to explain my frustrations and how much of my time has been wasted which resulted in the person on the phone becoming irate, cursing, and telling me that "He's the f***ing owner of this place" and that none of it is his fault because his helper was the one who took the order and not him read more

You have to pay in advance so if there is an issue, you are out of luck. It was expensive and the fit for a glass table top was poor and they would not adjust or add tabs to keep from sliding and to level it. The sales person said he could use silicone sealer to permanently attach the table top to the base (of course no one would ever do that). He walked away to the back of the store when I asked for other solutions. Table base I left there (to measure) was covered in glass dust and I had to clean it before loading in my car. The staff do not assist with loading or unloading and just watched out the window as I struggled on my own to fit a heavy table into my car. We bought clear silicone tabs at Home Depot and spent a couple of hours leveling and fixing ourselves so it is ok now. I emailed a complaint to the manager who was not there, and did not have a response. update June 2017: The glass scratched easily so I will be replacing it after 1 year. I think they use poor quality glass. our other glass tables did not have this problem. read more

Seemed like knowledgable professionals. Came to house, measured the many windows - large and small - that needed replacement. An estimate was to arrive later that week. Several follow-up calls and 9 months later, no word. No return call. Guessing they're relatively small and somewhat unorganized, but probably good if you can get them on the job. read more

A guest broke a window recently, and Meagan and the folks at Catskill Mountain Glass and Mirror were able to travel to the house and fix it and call me when it was completed for a very, very good price. The companies prices are a wonderful value. Only one suggestion I would make and that would be to warn customers when the agreed upon appointment time will not work out. read more

I've used them before and they were quite good and I told them and paid them promptly. Now, after 5 unreturned calls, I can't get the time of day for more work we need. They are having some internal issues, so I would avoid until they get their act together. read more

I needed a mirror cut to fit an odd corner. I brought it in and they did it quickly and for a reasonable price.

After trying for two years to get someone there to call me back to fix a few Windows at m home, I finally stopped in and was able to arrange an appointment for 9:30 am. That day arrived and as i was standing in my driveway I watched the truck drive right by and not stop. I immediately called the store and was told that they were running late and would come back later in the afternoon. As I had an appointment and would not be home I told them forget it and I would do it myself. And I did a Darn good job too, it's not brain surgery. Do yourself a favor and watch the "how to" videos on youtube, faster than waiting for these unprofessional inconsiderate people. read more

So after playing phone tag we finally nailed down a time and price to install a mirror 50" x 59" on a back bar in our upstate home. So I drove up from L.I. on Thursday taking off work on Friday for a 1 p.m. appointment ( because they don't work on Saturdays, WHAT!!) Called at 1:30 p.m. to see if they were running late. it was like they never heard of me. The lady in the shop said she would get back to me. Needless to say no call.
