He's super honest, super personable (has stories for days), and does amazing work. I wish I could say he did some of that amazing work for me, but it's a weird story: Our annoying HOA forces us to keep appearances up with our neighbors. Everything has to be just so, and our windows needed to be energy efficient. Our windows already looked great, but I have to abide by the HOA or else. So I called up Dave to get a quote on how much it would cost to upgrade the windows. We had a great conversation, he knew the area, and the sort of job, and like I said, he was an absolute pleasure to talk to. We picked a day, and he said he'd check it out and give me a quote. After he went out there to take a look, he asked if I wanted to the good news or the bad news. The Good News: The windows were already super energy efficient. He knows because he had put them in himself for the previous tenant a few years back. What a coincidence! The Bad News: He wasn't going to make any money on this job. Which, if you're paying attention, you may realize was also really good news for me. Dave could've just straight up done the job again and made more money (as some dishonest folks would've), but instead but he got a laugh out of me, and a customer for life. Our experience with HV Windows Doors and Siding started with a phone call to Dave, we setup an appointment and met the next week. As with every type of appointment for construction services you normally enter into a conversation hesitant wondering who is this guy, and will he give me a good price, a good job, stand behind work, or just give me a crappy job and run with my money, never to be heard from again. We've all heard the stories. Dave arrived at my home, introduced himself and we talked at great length about our siding project, and he did a walk around the home just to evaluate the job. He came back in, did a little figuring on a piece of paper, and gave us a price on the spot. While we knew not what to expect about the cost, we were somewhat surprised as it seemed a little over what we had budgeted. We talked a little longer and he explained in great detail what was needed and what he was going to do, he explained the funding and how it would work and he left. We thanked him for his time, his explanations, and his proposal and told him we would be in touch. After Dave left my wife and I sat down and discussed the project, the cost, and the timeline, as we wanted to get the project done before September this year. You know that everyone says, "Never take the first proposal, get prices, get multiple proposals, etc". We didn't know what it was exactly, but my wife and I both felt really good about our visit with Dave and so we decided to call him back the next day and enter into a contract. Not to make this review to long, the project was scheduled and actually took place a week earlier than expected. Dave anticipated a 5 day project, and they finished up in 4 days. His guys were like busy bees, only stopping for a 30 minute lunch break each day. Very professional, knew their profession, and did not need constant oversite. Dave's supervisor on the job Louis knew the job and knew the timeline and was sure to make it happen. While Dave was on the site almost every day, I think he thinks of himself as the cleanup crew picking up and taking garbage almost every day. There was no language barrier between the workers and me, and everyone on the job was eager to please. Dave made every effort to assure that the finished project was worthy of our praise, even adding a few things not originally negotiated in the contract. While the project was not considered a large project, it had alot of intricate details that took extra time to work around. My wife and I cannot express enough our level of satisfaction with Dave and his guys. They did what they said they would do, and most likely more that we didn't even know about. Great job, great contractor, and great value for the money. The project was worth every penny spent. I see now why much of Dave's business is return customers. We would/will certainly use him again if the need arises. Not to lengthen this review longer I would only like to add, that Dave is human, he is not a robot and his speech is not rehearsed. We learned alot about his family, his dogs, etc. and we felt he was true to form, just a good guy to work with. Highly recommend. Window Replacement - poor quality product and installation; a quarter inch thick of ice in winter; difficult to lock; too much caulk applied and it was on the sill; no insulation put around windows; When I asked Dave, the owner, to send his son-in-law out to fix things, he said he had to fire him. I also asked a rep from Joyce windows to come out and look at the windows, and of course Dave came too. Dave had an answer for everything. Dave and his crew are absolute pros. They show up on time, with the correct materials and do an incredible job. Best part is they take all the garbage and old windows with them. Fair price. I've hired Dave on 2 occasions now, and he has now replaced every window in my townhouse. I've never been unhappy with any of the work. Dave is fast, reliable and affordable. He always answers the phone in person. He came in, took measurements, gave me a date and was back with the windows earlier than expected and had them installed in a day and a half. We had a window come with one of the grilles in wrong and he took care of everything, from re-ordering to replacement. Later, in the process of completing the renovation one of the windows got cracked and with just a phone call he got us a replacement and came in person to install it. read more

We couldn't have asked for better!! The owner Dave was with us from the estimate until completion. We have a 50 year old, poorly built house with many evils hiding under the old siding and windows. Jack, who did most all of the work himself is a master craftsman and perfectionist. He worked 7 days a week, and repaired all that he found along the way, such as rotten lumber, poorly installed original siding board and messy wires from the utilities. It was a long process but well worth it, we have a new house and not one dime more than the estimate for all that work. We're so glad we chose Hudson Valley windows and siding! We found this contractor easy to work with in customizing the 26 Joyce windows for our Victorian church building. The product appears to be of good quality, the workmanship was superb, and the price was fair. Prior to signing the contract, they installed one sample window to see if our parishioners approved of the design.
