My wife and I closed on a house the…read more29th of August, our son then was born 2+ weeks early on the 31 of August and we were scrambling to get the house ready and moved into. Lots of painting! While painting, we discovered a major leak in the attic (the ceiling was paper thin) and that lead to emergency water and mold abatement as well as a complete roof replacement since the home inspection missed a pretty big issue in our attic and never went on the roof to properly inspect. I called a couple roofing companies, including Gkontos and was pleasantly surprised to see them go in the attic and inspect as well as on the roof and photographed everything. The other companies merely went on the roof only and then gave me an estimate. I had a quote within 2-3 days and was a little shocked at the amount it was and how much more it was then the other companies I called. However after reviewing the quotes and seeing how this company did there estimate versus the others, it seems like a no brainer and it came with 50 year shingles and a life time warranty. I had the insurance company breathing down my neck to get the roof fixed or they were gonna label my property vacant. I called back regarding the quote (Friday afternoon) and asked how soon they could come. The girl, Katie was so helpful and said they could be out there Tuesday morning first thing. Tuesday came and the crew showed up with tools, material and a dumpster at 0730 and got to work. Alex Popovic was the project manager of the job and I can't even begin to explain of great he was. He was the first on site and the last to leave. He explained everything that was going on, answered questions and was very attentive to me as the customer, his workers, and the property, ensuring everything was well done and moving smoothly and efficiently. In between managing the job site, he was super helpful with his years of home building, to help answer some other general and specific questions I had I regarding various projects I was working on and planning to do. If he wasn't so busy, I was willing to hire him on the spot to help GC some other projects I want to do around the house. But he is loyal and committed to Gkontos Roofing. I can't recommend him and the crew enough and my good friend should be calling them today for another roof estimate and job. Overall, the guys in just over one day, -pulled up the old roof -replaced a ton of plywood -installed eve vents -replaced both chimney caps - installed siding - installed ridge vent -installed flashing -installed new fascia -installed new siding around chimney And some other stuff I can't remember specifically. Don't waste your time with anyone else. Call this company for your roofing needs. You won't be disappointed.

I liked Mike, Dylan and Canyon instantly; their interpersonal communication skills were/are amazing and they all possess superior skills of gratitude. I asked Mike and staff about fixing my broken down/crumbling concrete patio... He quoted me a most reasonable fee and came back a few days later and fixed the patio. I then requested Mike and co. to insulate my 1790 tavern turned home since there was NO INSULATION!! Mike and Canyon did so in a timely, professional manner. After finishing the insulation, I requested Mike and Canyon to assist me with a punch list of items to get my home tenant/student ready for the upcoming semester.. They happily obliged! Fixing door nobs/locks and screens/windows.. Mike and Co. are very professional and explain things in a manner in which I can understand. I will be hiring them for another project::: Recreating my shed into a "hang out" area for students. I had another handy person when I first bought this money pit of a home in February... This person was lovely, but nothing "special...." This previous handy person's work was mediocre. I was looking for AWESOME and that's when Mike, Canyon and Dylan were recommended by my fabulous client... I WILL NOT GO ANYWHERE ELSE FOR ANY TYPE OF WORK IN MY HOME... If you are seeking professional, forward thinking, fair/HONEST service then.......LOOK NO FURTHER... As a small business owner myself, I have no time for nonsense, tall tales or BS.. I think Mike and staff are fabulous and super honest... I'm looking forward to my next project with them in the Autumn.. Eileen Scanlon of Scanlon's Traveling Salon

I had found HV Home Solutions on an online search for professionals in my area for insulation. We…read morewere dealing with a cold house that was drafty and were looking to get an evaluation done to keep the house a bit warmer. Michael was very responsive, he was fast to respond to my inquiry, come to provide and estimate and start the job. He was able to show me colder areas in the house and provide solutions to rectify them. We ended up hiring him to install blown cellulose insulation in the attic and then added on some additional jobs that he suggested for the house including sealing off a drafty closet that was built into the knee wall, sealing the rim joist of the house in our basement and adding some insulation to the exterior walls of our family room. Michael even found an area in our basement that was not closed off, finding an open area that was hidden by some batt insulation leading to the Bilco door entry area and he was able to close that off and stop any cold air and drafts from coming into the house. He was even able to install new attic stairs for us- a job that he did beautifully. Michael was always available for questions and answered his phone every time I called. Even after the job was complete, he was still accessible for any question I had. I was very pleased with the pricing and dependability that HV Home Solutions offered and I will hire them again for any job needed in my house, including handy work. I am glad that I found them!

January 10, 2024 My…read morestory started on Thanksgiving day last year. My wife came to me complaining of a puddle in her in-home office. After searching for the cause, discovered we had several leaks in our roof. Friends recommended Exterior Pro Builders (EPB) as having replaced both their roof and their mother's roof. I contacted EPB and they had their estimator here the following Monday after the holiday weekend. From that point onward, all of my contacts with this company were professional, prompt, courteous and knowledgeable. Contract for the work was clear, concise and understandable. Downpayment was 50% which is customary and reasonable. The biggest delay in the entire process was getting the required building permit from my city. There were other weather related delays outside of anyone's control. So on the Friday after Christmas, the ten man crew arrived to start work. I have a fairly large roof, and when I asked how long the job would take, Marco, the foreman said they would be done by the end of the day. I was amazed and unbelieving, but by 7pm that day they were packing up and I had a new roof. One man returned the following week to finish cleaning up, which, by the way, was thorough and painstaking. I will not hesitate to recommend EPB to anyone needing a new roof. They were also able to remove and reinstall my existing gutter helmets with no apparent damage. Special kudos to: Rich Viera, the estimator Alexis, the very nice lady in their office Marco, the foreman Thanks for making a very trying period much easier. Five stars. Highly recommended.
