NEVER BRING YOUR PET HERE !!! I wouldn't even bring myself in here again, front desk always empty can't get ahold of anyone, patty had the worst attitude I've ever ran into. Don't bother bringing them where they lay in their own shit and piss until you pick them up. Not even sure how this place still functions. Very Disappointed, Boarded the dog for one night, a Saturday. On Sundays they don't open until 12:00 PM. I showed up at 12:00 to pick up the dog and was charged for two days. I was told that their policy is that if the dogs are not picked up before 12:00 they are charged for an additional day. When I asked how I could pick the dog up before 12 if they were not open, I was told "sorry, that is the policy". I will not be back. read more

Been taking my dog to them for grooming since they opened, they were great. Now just took her for her summer grooming and got charged $15 more than the Dec visit, ok with that all things are increasing, but this time she had been cut on side and on her leg,‼. To top it off they must have used dirty clippers cuz she got skin infection where they cut her on side and her whole stomach had the infection ‼ Cost me $300+ for vet visit and medicine. This grooming business the TERRIBLE. The staff are very rude and DO NOT handle pets with care. My family has had a few bad experiences here. Today was among the worst. My mother drops our already skiddish cat off early in the morning. Later on the owner of this place calls my mom and claims my mom didn't make an appointment. She tries to explain that she did make an appointment with a staff member, and somehow the appointment was never recorded for their records. My mother had proof that the appointment was made, but instead of being cordial and forgiving like normal business owners should, she was received with unnecessary attitude and had to watch our poor cat get severely mistreated. My mother shows up and the owner is grooming Rosie, our cat and is being rough with her. She was being so rough that cat was having diarrhea as a defense mechanism. The owner continued to get more and more frustrated, slamming things around, scaring the cat even more. She continues to groom her and she bits the groomer twice (karma) and then forcefully shoves the cat into a crate. All while my mom is watching and getting very upset. THEN, the owner comes after my mother letting her know how annoyed she was that she didn't have an appointment. My mom shows her the proof but then continues to argue with her. I don't understand how an owner of a business would ever think it is ok to treat a loyal customer in this manner. It's disgusting and this place should be closed down. Animals do not deserve to be treated so poorly either. No wonder why our cat isn't as social as our others. She is traumatized after every visit. DO NOT BRING YOUR ANIMALS HERE! read more

I have been bringing my 2 dogs to this border for 5 years now and in the beginning, they were excellent. The past 3 years have been a different experience for sure. First thing is when i would drop my dogs off for a few days while on vacation, i would ask for both dogs nails to be trimmed, well i would pick them up and neither one of them had their nails clipped but i damn sure got charged for it! Second problem, they are not checking vaccine records because my lab has contacted kennel cough twice! Yes my girl had all her shots but the vet advised me that depending on the severity of the disease and if the facility isn't cleaned properly then there is still a chance of contracting it. Thirdly, twice i asked for a price for the duration of the stay and each time i was told one price and when it came time to pick them up, the price jumped 100 dollars! My mothers dog also contracted severe skin infection after they cut her side with a pair of dirty clippers!!! NEVER AGAIN!!! If you love your fur babies, don't bring them to bed and biscuit!! read more

The name and appearance make it seem as though your pet is well cared for and comfortable. Not only were they unable to report about how the animals did while I was away, but my dog was had a sore on her mouth and all red in the belly from scratching the 3 days I was gone. We gave it 2 tries. Each time she poops and pees immediately when I pick her up- and now that makes sense from reading other reviews- they have to be let out. They keep them alive, and that is about it. read more

This is the worst spot to bring your pet. Had my dog there for a week. Had to pay them to play with her. Paid them to distribute meds. She smelled horrible when we picked her up. Will never use this place again!!! read more

Have been taking my dog here for the past 5 years at least 2 times a year when we go away on vacation, and have been happy in the past. However, this last time I can say I was disappointed. I asked for my Golden to be groomed and bathed while there as I always do. However after I got her home and closely looked at her it appeared all they did was trim the hair around her paws. What's more, she smelled about like she did when I dropped her off. So, I called and spoke with the owner, and all it accomplished was her telling me " you got what you asked for"' and "it's the same as we always do". When I tried to explain to her that it was most assuredly NOT the same as the other times she kept on talking telling me how much she knows about show dogs, grooming, and what my dog needs and how little I know. Wonderful example of customer skills! I realized this would get no where, and when I finally said " how about you actually listen to my simple complaint" she said " fine, bring her back and I'll trim her even if that's the wrong way for a Golden to look". I will NEVER go back there......you just lost a good customer. read more

I have been using Catskill Mountain Bed N Biscuit since she opened for grooming and boarding for my dogs. My dogs are like my children and would not let them go just anywhere. Pam and her staff are simply wonderful. They are caring, compassionate and attentive to all of our pets needs. Our one dog has very specific grooming requirements and Pam is the only groomer that has ever groomed her without an issue. If you are looking for a great place with a great staff ..........this is the place to bring your pets. My dog was groomed there and we told them specific areas not to groom but they did it anyway. When we picked him up he looked horrible and had chunks of hair taken out and just stuck back on which came off when he was pet. We took him back up and the owner was rude and tried to fix the horrible grooming done by the new employee. We have had a number of friends go there and had the same issue. Now they let a dog run away and did not even attempt to call the dog owner to let them know. read more

I took my Golden Retriever for grooming today. We took him to other places before finding this groomer. I am so pleased with the job they did. A very professional job. The price they charged was very reasonable. I would recommend this groomer to anyone. I no longer need to find the right groomer for my dog as I know where to take him from now on. read more

We use Catskill Mountain Bed 'n Biscuit for short and long stays for our two pups. The place is spotless and the owners and staff are attentive. We've had oldsters and puppies, even our cat(!) in their care and can travel with peace of mind. Highly recommend! read more

I was impressed with the cleanliness and looks of the facility when I first arrived to drop off my dog and my mother's dog (a miniature schnauzer & a cocker spaniel Maltese mix), both small dogs. I had to leave the dogs for 5 days which I'm really not a fan of leaving my dogs behind with anyone. So I had left specific instructions to groom one of the dogs which was mine before I had left on vacation. When I came back to pick up the dogs both of them had gotten groomed and they both smelled worse than they did when I dropped them off which wouldn't make any sense if they just got bathed and groomed that same day that I pick them up. So I had to pay extra money for a second grooming that I did not request and they were both dirty when they were picked up so they had to be re-washed again anyway. Not happy at all with how things turned out. Wouldn't use this place unless it was an ABSOLUTE last resort. And lastly let me not forget that one of my dogs pissed and shit twice as soon as they came out from the back which means she probably wasn't walked in a long period of time. read more
