I was weepy, because my toddler and puppy were being separated for the first time - Denise reassured us, and said text anytime! We got pictures and updates our whole trip, and when our pick up time had to be moved because we got stuck in traffic, it wasn't a big deal. The little boarding report card was adorable, and because our pup has nervous/excitement pees, Denise referred us to a trainer/dog psychologist that might be able to help. Our other dogs, boarded other places, have come home with cuts, ticks, smelling bad, or almost all the food we sent - this is the first time we haven't had anything to remedy once we got home. I appreciate Club Cozy Canine being a local gem!

Wag Inn does pick-up and drop offs from NYC to their facility in the Hudson Valley which makes things really convenient. Their property is beautiful! Really scenic and the perfect place for city dogs to unwind! Dogs are kept in their own private rooms with plenty of socialization during the day in their amazing fenced in play areas. Your dog will not be left alone in a room, with several other dogs, unattended to and with no interaction or supervision from human caretakers. Lena, the manager loves animals and they do an amazing job of keeping your dog engaged and having fun during your stay. They offer activities for your dog including training, fun runs and my favorite agility! They can also provide your dog with a spa day too! Unfortunately, many pet care businesses are started by people with business in mind first, not the love of animals. Wag Inn is run by people who are professional dog trainers and vet techs-they care about animals first and foremost and consider your dog's wellbeing, safety and happiness above all else. Our dogs came back from an amazing stay in the country, which was documented by daily emails with photos and video. They loved Wag Inn and can't wait to go back!

They have told me truthfully about how my dog does energy and anxiety-wise while in boarding so I was able to make a call on whether or not an extended stay was good for him, or if I needed to find an at-home sitter for my longer vacation trips. I appreciated this immensely and they gained my trust even more. The folks at Wag Inn get him exercise while there and understand how to work with him. I know for a fact that each dog is individually walked several times a day. They are well taken care of and treated like they were her own pets. I own a highly trained purebred hunting dog and I never hesitate to leave her with Toni. Toni takes care of all of her grooming needs, haircuts, baths etc. I can tell that my dog Molly is well taken care of because anytime I bring her there, there is no apprehension on Molly's part as far as entering or staying there. A city dog, he doesn't get much off leash time, but you could just tell he had the blastest of times running around fetching balls in Donna's backyard all day. Unfortunately, while making last minute reservations for a weekend wedding, I was unsuccessful at finding a dog friendly hotel. The next option was to find somewhere where I could board him; I wasn't too excited especially since I had only boarded him once before and for an hour after dropping him off I couldn't stop crying. This experience was completely different. From the first moment I spoke with Larie on the phone I knew that she was going to take really good care of Theo. She gave me her cell phone number and offered to meet me at the bed and breakfast I was staying at even though I was arriving late at night. After handing Theo to her she and her co-worker told me they were going on a walk with him which showed me she really knew how to handle dogs; especially ones that are prone to separation anxiety and stress like my little guy. I headed to the rehearsal dinner after-party and actually ran into Larie still out walking and bonding with Theo half an hour later. Amazing! He was glad to see me, but clearly comfortable with Larie and I was doubly relieved and reassured that this was going to be a great experience for Theo and I. Since Theo fell within the allowable weight limit, Larie boarded him at her own house with her (much larger) pups. She sent me text updates and told me to call her anytime with any concerns or even to check in. When my boyfriend and I went to pick him up, he was happy and very relaxed running around with her pups. It was clear that he'd had plenty of exercise and love. I am so grateful for her amazing care of Theo and I only wish that we lived closer Theo can continue to benefit for her professional and loving boarding services!
