Fun for all ages! I've been to Catoro a few times, but my latest visit was the first time with a minor. My cousin was visiting from Toronto and was so excited! She'd never been to a cat cafe before. The staff/owners were really nice about answering her questions, giving her tips on how to hold the cat toys to get their attention, and letting her feed the cats some treats too! Knowing how much she had been looking forward to her time in the cat forest (days of anticipation!), it was touching to see the care and attention everyone gave her. Her joy was infectious! I think this was the most fun I've had at Catoro too, because my cousin attracted so many of the cats to us, haha. What a brilliant concept! They accept rescue cats,and people can spend an hour playing with and cuddling them. Such a nice way to help the cats feel cared for and so lovely to get to know them! The cafe also sells bubble tea and fun cat stickers and toys! They even have movie nights, when you can watch a fun movie with a cat purring on your lap!! You have to go try the place out at least once! And, they will also consider you for adoption if you fall in love with one of these gorgeous creatures!! This was my first cat cafe experience and I enjoyed it, it was relaxing to hang out with the cats for a while. The 50-minute timeslot was plenty of time to play with and pet different cats while enjoying bubble tea. Some of the cats were active and playful during my 8:10-9:00 pm time and some just wanted to chill out, but they all seemed relaxed and happy about having people around. There were lots of toys available to use and the room that the cats are in is spacious with lots of structures for the cats to climb in/on, and also a few chairs for people. They clean often. The staff is mostly young adults. They are all very friendly and happy to talk about the cats. The bubble tea here is reliably pretty good. I live nearby so I sometimes stop in for bubble tea. Visiting from out of town, but had to come check out this cat cafe. For a tourist, it is a bit out of the way, but well worth the visit! Made a reservation a day before to ensure I got to see the kitties. Cats were cute, seemed well taken care of. There is a mix of veteran cats and new cats. Went around lunch time, some were tired and rather not play, some were eager to play. Interesting experience: orientation, talking to staff, playing with kitties all was really fun and new. I was super excited to book this place because we are big cat fans! I was able to book our reservation about a couple weeks before our trip, online (which was super convenient). I LOVED that they had boba there because there cannot be a better combo (cats & boba). They had so much cute merch inside, as well as cat supplies, stickers, etc. Their menu was pretty extensive, but we just ordered their Jasmine Milk Tea with boba and a mango green tea. The workers were super sweet and informative. They give you slippers to change our outdoor shoes from (so I recommend socks so you don't put your bare feet on the slipper lol) and they had so many active/playful cats and lots of toys for you to use. Cute little cat cafe! Smaller than the cat cafe inside Tinseltown and cleaner too. I'm actually allergic to cats but this place was pretty clean considering it's smaller in size and the workers there are seen cleaning in between slots when people leave. I didn't sneeze and swell like I usually do which was a huge bonus. We booked our appts online as they book up very quickly and a lot of people were rejected when they tried to do walk in the day of. You also get a discount on your bbt which was nice. Bbt was alright I wouldn't say it was the best but a nice treat while you're waiting to go inside. Cats were all very sweet but often fight with each other due to the smaller space. Also you don't get to play with all the cats due to such a small crowded space with that many people some, hogging certain cats. The best cat cafe ever! Not only do they have kitties to play with, but also boba to go with an awesome experience. I came with a group of 6 and there was plenty of kitties to go around. Some were super playful and others just wanted to nap. For half an hour, it was $8CAD and drinks were about $6CAD. Drink are ordered when you first enter the cafe and they bring it out into the cat area. I really enjoyed the foggy milk tea (vanilla and earl grey). Half an hour went by so quickly! I'm first review was for my Cat Forest visit. This visit is for my takeout order and pick up order. I ordered something for pickup and the cashier was sooo friendly. Service is really phenomenal though I'm not sure why there was only one person at the front desk on a weekend afternoon - she was taking orders, managing cash, checking people in, and making drinks all by herself! Because of this, my drinks took a while to come but she was very apologetic. The reason for the 3 stars is because the drinks were pretty awful. I recall they were pretty good the first time I came! The drink for brown sugar Pearl matcha latte was not bad (30% sweet was pretty sweet for me), but the issues were the pearls. I'm not sure how the drink had brown sugar flavour but the pearls came out bland and soft! My mom complained her passionfruit green tea tasted like so it green tea with no passionfruit taste - I wonder if this is because I asked for 50% sweet? Weekday and weekend prices are a little different. Weekends have an extra 15 minute option for $5.75 while weekdays start at 30 mins for $8. I was here on a weekend and spent 30 mins at Catoro as well as ordered a drink, the foggy cat with pearls, which is an Earl grey milk tea drink for $7. Their drink prices might be on the pricey side, but the taste is pretty good, not too sweet and doesn't taste artificial. They have an area in which you can sit at the cafe side and look into the cat forest to see the kitties. To go inside the cat area you will have to take off your shoes and they provide slippers which you can use inside. A new cat cafe just opened in Vancouver! They don't just serve amazing bubble teas, tea based drinks and treats from Ca Phe but their furry friends are rescue cats. Catoro Cafe has a partnership with the Cat Therapy & Rescue Society where rescue cats can receive love from visitors and also be adopted. I think this is a brilliant system that they implemented especially when I met a blind cat. I learned how to approach it and what I had to do to ensure I didn't frighten it. The staff were friendly and informative to ensure I wasn't scratched and had a great time. In my journey to learn more about cats and this cafe, I learned that the food and drinks are all tailored for the safety of cats in case they digest it. However, for humans, the drink quality completely surpassed by expectations. I tried the FOGGY TEA w/ BOBA and the caramel-y boba elevated the floral flavour in the earl grey milk tea. Also, their Passion Fruit Green Tea (+ Mango stars) had a strong and prominent green tea taste and for once, I found a tea that wasn't sickening sweet! It had an addicting acidity!  For sweets, I tried their matcha moffin and once again, the bitter matcha flavour hit me first and then a slight subtle coconut flavour rounded out the delightful bite. It reminded me of Usagi Sweets and Yama Cafe moffins but hey, there is never enough moffins around Vancouver anyways. So I am glad I can have some closer to home. VERY happy with it. The rum-infused brown butter cake by Ca Phe had a wonderful crumb, sweetness and fragrance from the brown butter! You can also purchase their Vietnamese coffee and other products too. Super friendly staff :) I liked that they have cashew milk as their dairy alternative and all the drinks have a unique twist to it. I ordered the Brown Sugar Matcha Latte with cashew milk. Really good but a little too sweet for my preference (I normally get half sweet bbt but forgot to tell the barista). Regardless, probably my favourite matcha brown sugar bbt I've had so far. My friend got the Foggy Cat and really enjoyed it as well. There was a promo going on at the time where the first 15mins is free in the car forest. We had planned to stay for just the 15 mins but ended up staying for over an hour . I'm definitely a dog person but honestly did not think that I would ever pay to go to a cat cafe but I had a really good time at Catoro! Very nice idea, good concept, could use some improvements. However, I went the first week it was open! It does take a bit of time to get you checked in and then you are kind of rushed out at the end and can't sit in the cafe to finish your drink. There wasn't many cats out, only 3-4 and some kittens in the window, I love the idea ! And the cat forest was super cute ! Lots of cute little touches like little lights as well. It needs a few of the bugs worked out but in all due time I can see it being resolved. If you are hesitant... don't be ! Go give this place a try. Finally had a chance to check out Catoro Cafe! We tried to walk in once but they didn't have any space so definitely make a reservation. It is also not mandatory to purchase food or drinks. We stayed for half an hour and it was $8.93. The cat forest doesn't look that big from the outside but it's actually quite spacious once you're in there. Initially it does smell like cats though but you'll get used to it. You can use hand sanitizer before and after you go in. There were also more cats than I expected. Maybe 15-20 of them so you'll be able to find one to play with! We also tried some buns which are provided from Baker and Table. I thought they looked familiar! However they weren't fresh so it wasn't that good. They were slightly dry and cold since they were delivered the day before so you should ask if they're fresh or not! We got 3 for $15. The Totoro bun had Oreo and mochi and the other bun had chocolate inside. We enjoyed our visit a lot and I would go back. read more

My review is based off of my experience with ordering from their online store and also a drop-in visit to the cafe (but not actually visiting the cat forest). They have a good online selection for many of the brands that I am interested in (Ex. Pidan, Vetreska, Moboli) and they carry a decent selection of natural pet food. The website has recently been revamped and the layout is much more sleek and easier to navigate. They have quick delivery as well if you are ordering online. Drop-off for items are usually within 3 days. They do no contact drop-off which is great especially during the pandemic and they text ahead of time to let you know the approximate ETA for delivery. I visited the actual cafe a few weeks ago and the overall experience was pleasant. Due to COVID, there are restrictions on how many people can enter the store at any given time so it can get a bit busy over the weekend. You can essentially find all the products online in their actual store if you live close to the area and do not want to wait for delivery. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. For anyone looking to adopt a rescue cat, Catoro is worth considering and I believe they offer deals for new cat adoptions if you need to stock up on foods and supplies. read more

Of the two cat cafes in this city, this is my favorite. They seem to have more social cats that aren't afraid to come up and say "pet me!!" Their cat jungle is pretty spacious for both people and cats. I was there on a Friday after 1pm and it was full. I think it's always busy though. If you love cats, do the 60min option. 30 min wasn't enough. They have an actual cafe with seats looking into the cat area. Prices and quality is on par with decent cafes. The staff is awesome. My only concern would be that the jungle area is enclosed with no direct sunlight. The other place has big windows that allow in natural lights (which may be why their cats are more lazy). I hope they do have access to sun and can peer at the world outside. I will be back. read more

Really loved my time here! I came on a Tuesday afternoon, and even though most of the cats were quite sleepy, I still had a great time! I love that they have so many kitties (young and old!) and that the Cat Forest is so beautifully decorated. I got a complementary drink with my booking and it was delicious. I've been to a handful of other cat cafes before and usually the drinks are just average, but wow the matcha strawberry milk was SO GOOD. The staff are wonderful and you can clearly tell that the cats adore them (and vice versa!). Towards the end the staff gave us treats to entice the cats with because so many of them were so sleepy haha, so I also really appreciated that. Highly recommend a visit if you love cats! read more

Service: Great! I was able to easily book online and when I got there for the booked time i waites 15 minutes for people before me to leave so that the cats arent overwhelmed with too many people. Drinks area: The bubble tea/drinks area is clean and separate from the cats. Its clean and theres a space to sit to view the room where the cats are. The bubble tea was far overpriced but it was ok. Play area: It's quite large and there is space for you to sit on benches, tables, or on the ground. Humaneness: The cats have plenty of toys where they can crawl to the back and they're hidden from humans or they can go all the way to the kitty door in the back of the room to hideaway if needed. They really do put the health of the cats ahead of anything else. You wash your hands before you enter the play area and you're asked not to pick up or chase the cats. There are always attendants in the room to monitor visitors behaviors. Theres plenty of clean water and food around for the cats. Concept: There is a book with a photo and description that introduces you to each cat that is found in catoro. The cats are all adoptable. I love the concept. Note: Theres one grumpy cat named mango that doesnt like people soooo maybe dont bother him. Overall if you like cats then it's a nice place to go. Would I come back? I guess those who have over rated this place have not applied for adopting a cat here. If you were humiliated by these people who only care about the business you would think twice . We spent $67 on a 45 min visit+ 2 drinks+tips and put so much time driving+ thinking and deciding which cat to choose , with my 12 year old daughter who had put her heart to adopt a rescued cat- for a good cause -for her birthday ,which by the way, was ruined by these people. The process was complicated. You send an email to receive an application , wait for two days to receive a link and pre order cat foods,litter ,..-before you even have a cat -and wait for another 3 days to receive an email saying that the application is rejected and oddly enough,they can not give any explanation for that! Where on earth you reject an application with no given reason? By the way, that email address is a no reply! They made us feel that we either have not ordered enough cat food and expensive cat kennels,.., for their liking, or we chose a wrong cat , the one,that was entertaining and attracts visitors to the place. read more

This place was fine- cool if you want to pet a few cats, but there were a few things that were a little annoying. The space lacks good lighting and is set up in a way that makes it feel a little claustrophobic. There were 20 people in the small space which was too many to really enjoy the experience. Made reservations, which were cancelled because they were going to do another reopening based on feedback. I really appreciate businesses that listen to their customers' feedback and make changes to make it better. We were able to re-reserve a time slot before it opened to the public. We were the first group that day. There is a max of 16 people that go in each time. You check in, pay, order drinks (if you want), and receive the waiver all at the same time at the front. This process seemed a bit slow and wondering how that can proceed faster. Perhaps having a few staff do check in. They do have non-caffeinated drinks for kids. You sign the waiver, then wait for your party to be called. Once called, you go to the other room for a debrief. There are disposable socks and slippers if you want and everyone must sanitize their hands before going in. This particular room is very small and fitting 15 people was tight, in case you are claustrophobic. You hand in your form and go in. By this time, we were about 10-15 mins past our scheduled time, which they did extend for when we left. I think a more streamlined check in process would fix any delays ie: portable card machine as well as at the front or pre-pay and check in online. They bring you your bubble tea in the room once it is ready. There were only about 6 cats out and 4 kittens through the window. Only one had been adopted so far, but they had a total of 25 cats. For an 11:15 am session, I thought there would be more cats out. There are 2 staff available in the room that were helpful and she mentioned a lot were in the back sleeping. The decor is very cute and fitting for a cat forest. The cats were sweet and playful. Overall, we had a great time. I think the service here is better than the cat cafe at Tinseltown. I would have preferred to see more cats though. It is $8 per person (5 and up) for 30 mins. Bubble tea was about $6 and tasty. We went during the end of summer - and I was pretty unhappy with the visit. It took us forever to check in, and we ended up only having maybe 15-20 minutes when the other Cat cafe lets you have an hour to visit. The space is decorated beautifully but was overcrowded with too many guests and very few cats. The cats seemed stressed and one of them had basically barricaded herself in a corner to get away from the 6-10 people trying to get her attention. Loved my first cat cafe every bit! I was invited here during an influencer/media event and immediately I was impressed by how friendly the staff were as well as how well decorated the interior was. Their layout is quite well thought out; first you go to order your bubble tea/snack of choice then you enter a separate room called the cat forest which allows you to interact with all the cats. The bubble tea itself was very solid; I had a matcha brown sugar milk tea with cashew milk and I tried my friends earl grey milk tea! It was sweet enough, had nice pearls and was good sized. Plus they sell reusable bamboo straws which were super cool to see. One thing was that the drinks were quite expensive (each one was around $7 each) and I would have preferred them to be in the $5-$6 range. Nonetheless the experience was complete by visiting the cats with boba in hand and that was a very fun experience. If you're allergic to cats, perhaps view from a safe distance, but if you're a cat lover, these kitties will come up to you and play with you! You make your reservations online and depending on your party, you will most likely be with other people during your time with the cats/kittens. They have a deal with drinks and if you go see the cats you get some small discount. Once your inside, you barely get to play with the cats cause only a limited number of cats in the play area. If someone is petting a cat, you will have to wait your turn or move on to another cat. If a cat is sleeping you can't touch them or wake them up. There was a lot of time used up for standing around, sitting down, and watching other people pet the cat. It's nice if you can't have pets at home, you can come here. Other than that, don't bother with the bubble tea, there's better places to go for that. read more

I went to adopt a kitty when you fill out first part of Of all the forms it flips you into Pages of items that you can buy from them, Which I find very tacky . But I have more concerns about some of the information they want, I understand wanting to Know if a person has the means financially to provide for a kitty, as well as for the basic needs of any emergencies, but I Question as to why they need to know your annual income range. I also understand why they would want to know if you own your place or rent because of the permission to have animals, What I find rather curious is why they want to know if you own your place out right or if you have a mortgage.!!! WTF This Is totally inappropriate and has nothing To do with being a good cat owner. The only reason I gave them as good rating as they I did based on this was because the cats Were sweet, and the place was clean. And the staff was great.
