But when I heard that he needs some filling I just wanted to take him to a pediatric dentist and get another opinion and if needed to be taken care off at this office as well. The staff was very nice and friendly from scheduling to helping me out filling out each form. Dr Kwon is amazing with children. I have three boys and this is not the first time I am taking one of my child to a dentist. But I have never met a dentist who is patient and also great in explaining each procedure to the children. She even showed a little YouTube clip to my 6 year to ease some fears he might have before sealing some of the molars. And of course she explained everything in detail to me and checked in if I have any questions. After everything was done. The decision to move my little ones to her was easy. Even though we love our family dentist. I feel Dr Kwon will take great care of my children's dental health and I value her professional opinion and appreciate the great care she provided to our son today. 5 stars all the way!

The staffs are  super friendly and provide an inviting environment. Dr. KWON is extremely professional. :) When my son first started coming, he was fearful and nervous but everything was explained to him, so that he knew exactly what was going to be done to him.  My son was made to feel comfortable and safe.   I'm extremely thankful for making this experience a pleasant one. Thank U Lucky Kids Dental!!! You all are wonderful! We will definitely be back and will certainly recommend The Dentists For Kids!

All my long life, I had a gap in my front teeth with ancient caps. Dr Lo gave me options and recently I chose to replace the 1980s era caps and I am very pleased with the results. He works with a top notch lab, Artifex Dental Laboratory. Paul is an artist as well.

Not impressed. 1st visit was ok, but thought it odd that they never showed me x-rays they just…read moretalked at me. The cleaning and services were rushed and nothing as I have had in the past at other places. They seemed pretty angry that I opted to not have an expensive procedure done. I have good insurance and it being the first time the bill was over $150. I paid it and went on my merry way. 6 months later they hounded me to come in for a cleaning. That ended up with them telling me that they needed to take an xray with the cleaning. With the doctor spending no more than maybe 5 minutes with me both visits and out another $120. Now to today, I walk in to the front desk, the first I spoke to was a bit rude and tells me that I have to pay my co-pay up-front of $210 for a cleaning? and xrays that the insurance covers. Telling me the insurance only covers 50%. No they only cover 50% of your inflated prices. This place is a money mill, they dont really care about their patients only how much money they can get out of them.

I knew I needed a second opinion and since I have a dentist in my family that lives in Europe, I she advised to go see another dentist. Turns out, I had zero cavities and great gums! It cost me only $50 for my annual and the dental hygienist was very through. They answered all my questions and my husband came to this same place and they did a good job for him too. They recommend crowns, but I'll take that to my family dentist if needed done when I go back to Europe. I'm just happy that I didn't get 8 fillings for no reason.

I have been a long term patient at First in Smiles in Plano with Dr. Rick Barfield, DDS. He was…read morealways pleasant and did a fantastic job on the crowns that both my husband and I have had done there. Since my last cleaning he has retired and the new consortium that bought his business hired Dr. Lacey, DDS. To make a long story short, let's just say my first impression of her was not favorable. Remember, this is my first day to meet the "new dentist" and she flaunts into the room "with an attitude" and proceeds to try to explain to me why it's "required" for them to take x-rays which I was questioning. I'm almost 85 years old and have mostly crowns in my mouth, have no issues, no pain, and I don't understand why I am forced to have x-rays and can't just get a cleaning. So I said to her, "and who are you? " She did not even bother to introduce herself to me when she came in the room. I reminded her how nice and courteous it would have been if she had introduced herself. I would expect nothing less from a professional in the health industry. I have been to a lot of doctors and dentists in my life, and I actually never encountered anyone with such a bad bedside manner as this woman. Before she came in the room, the hygienist (who was very nice, by the way) had tried to take x-rays and since I have bone spurs behind my bottom teeth (Tori?) the x-ray experience was excruciating. They took some with difficulty and when I asked them not to take any more she came in the room and keep insisting it's required. So I'm asking her why do I not have a say on what or when somebody puts something in my mouth? She kept forcing the issue and got rather exercised over the subject, bringing up that my insurance won't pay for it which didn't make sense (I don't have insurance!), that she's only following the rules and if she doesn't follow the rules she loses her license to practice and just as much said "well, you can go to someone else if you don't like it here." At that point, I got out of the chair and said "I'm done here." I never heard her say one time that she was sorry about the incident. How rude. I definitely would not recommend this dentist. I would like, however, to give a special shoutout to Elizabeth in the front office who has always been so nice to me over the years. Dr. Lacey may be a good dentist (I'll never know) but just doesn't have the communication skills for her chosen career.

Fast forward to Dr. Nick and his staff and what a totally different experience. I called in to schedule an appointment to have a second opinion for both my daughters and they were able to get me In within 72 hours. During the visit Dr. Nick gave such a warm welcome to us all. After the exam, he explained everything he found in detail, without displaying an ounce of annoyance. Dr. Nick overall does an excellent job expanding on questions or concerns you might have. My girls had to come back for some dental work that required them needing fillings, they were so comfortable with Dr. and his staff they weren't even phased for their second round a week later. My oldest was in some pain after one of the procedures and the receptionist noticed this without us even saying anything, she acted quickly by offering her an electrolyte popsicle which definitely brightened my daughter's spirits. Other good things: The place is super clean, they have the TVs nicely set up on the ceiling for the kids to watch movies, they offer sunglasses to help block the bright light, the software they have helps give a really nice visual of your child's teeth and if they have cavities you are able to see the exact location of where they are. I really liked how they had a separate room to discuss payment plan and care plan.

My younger is very shy and I was a little nervous about a new dentist. The assistant got her cleaning right the way and kept her engaged through the process. In general, I particularly liked how clean, fast and effective our visit was.
