The District Farmers Market - Walking into the Farmers market.

There's surprisingly not much Farmer's Markets open on Sundays but this one and I enjoy going to…read moreit. It's definitely not the biggest but I think they have just about everything you would look for in a Farmer's Market. Lots of pre-cooked food options available so make sure to come hungry to try them all. The ones that are honorable mentions: the coffee booth that serves unique flavored lattes, the empanadas station (it is so moist and different than I've ever had anywhere else! - would highly recommend!), and the tamale station (most popular station I would say and I know why. The tamales are very flavorful and moist. The hot sauce also compliments it very well. Would highly recommend!) There were other cool spots that I would want to try next time: Cold Noodles, Filipino food, and a Mexican Zamba juice beverage booth and others! I like this farmers market mainly for the chicken eggs (kind reminder to NOT buy white eggs from the lady here. Her white egg yolk is not rich in color or flavor. It's what I would buy non-organic everywhere else. Look at my pic for reference), fresh produce, and berries/fruits! They sell lots of other things like hummus, hot sauce, fun activities, and more! Parking is great and the vendors are all very nice and friendly. Remember to bring bags because you'll probably be buying a lot! I'll be coming back!

Unique finds at this farmers market. Today I picked up some date syrup and granola. Vendors are…read morenice and willing to give samples. Come with the expectation that prices will be Farmer Market pricing. Easy parking. Casual. Good service. Please come and create your one adventure.

I go to Farmer's Markets for produce, not the food vendors or other items such as pastries,…read morelotions, etc. For that reason, I am saying this is just an OK Farmer's market in the edge of Costa Mesa bordering Fountain Valley. In years past, this was quite a lively place with several product vendors. In the last coupe of years, it's very tiny. For me, I love plums, peaches, nectarines in the summer. Once in a while, there is a good singer guitar player entertaining the small crowd. It's a decent alternative if you can't go to the Thursday Farmer's Market at the Fairgrounds which is closed during the OC County fair from mid July to mid August. Price for the produce was #3.50 a lb. for the fruits this time but subject to change (increase). I don't remember if it was Organic, but I always soak my purchased fruit in baking soda and water for 30 minutes just in case there are pesticide residues to very dirty hands before I eat it. They also have vegetables, a honey vendor, and some food. Just an OK experience for me. Parking is easy until he surrounding stores open.

Slowly uncovering the Farmers Market scene in Orange County…read more My best friend and I stopped by the SoCo farmers market in Costa Mesa a few weekends back. This FM happens every Saturday from 9am to 2pm. In comparison to other markets in the area, SoCo is on the smaller side. They offer all the major necessities: seasonal fruit, veggies, fresh juices, breads, hummus, and other dips. There's also a variety of local business owners selling handmade items like jewelry, fashion, and pottery pieces. I snagged a variety of beverages from 1987 Juices for a healthy start to my week, as well as strawberries, blueberries, and blackberries from the produce stand. Couldn't think of a better way to spend my Saturday and a haul of goodies always gets me excited for the upcoming week.

So the Garden Grove Farmer's Market is a perfect 3 star. Its OK…read more It is fairly small and had more vendors selling non foodstuff than well food. That being said it had ample parking and it is nice they block off the street for it. Aside from that if you are in the area or perhaps going to the Costco across the street it is worth a stop especially if you pair it with the multitude of eateries that line the street

When I went, there was only 1 vendor who offered something thats sizeable enough to be a meal. Almost half of the other vendors sold baked goods or snacks, so make sure to eat a good meal before you come here. I wish they had more food to offer Aside from that, I was happy with their choices of vendors and hope they keep letting them attend. Saw one full of crystals, which I pictured, and I saw one that sold alpaca-wool goods and traditional souvenirs. There was a sweet old lady with her handmade soap which I made sure to support, because it didnt seem like anyone came by and I really wanted to help her out. Make sure to support your local creators and farmers yguys, even the produce here are great deals
