If you are in the market for taco catering for an event then Soho Taco is absolutely the place I would recommend. The food is excellent, ESPECIALLY the carnitas, shrimp, tortillas and their salsa verde is out of this world. Our venue had fairly strict insurance requirements and Selene worked with us every step of the way. We attended a tasting event to sample the food before finalizing our order. Laguna Beach, Ca. We have used SoHo three times now, twice at our home and once at a neighbors. Every experience has been absolutely positive. Our latest event was a birthday party for a family patriarch and the part performed by SoHo was flawless. They showed up early and got set up in a timely manner. One of the chefs communicated perfectly which was helpful because my Spanish is very poor. There were a few highlights from last Saturday I'd like to touch upon: The shrimp is amazing, it is cooked in a great spicy butter sauce which was just as good the next day while we were enjoying leftovers. When served in a taco they add a creamy sauce that blends well into the wonderful taste. The Asada is great. One thing I cannot tolerate is gristle and attention was given during trimming to eliminate this annoyance. The size was perfect for a good texture and the steak flavor was outstanding. After the event we were given all the leftovers which included everything: Chips, guacamole,all of the meats, all of the tortillas, cheeses, onions, beans, rice, etc. etc. We ended giving large care packages to several guests. I must mention the carnitas which are very flavorful. The two guys doing all the cooking were very kind and helpful to a large group of us old people. They did a thorough cleanup and left without leaving a trace. SoHo may charge a bit more for their service but I feel their overall product is worth the price, which is why we are repeat customers. read more

We first learned about soho taco through our wedding venue many years ago. We went to one of soho's tasting events (which is held bi-monthly, priced very reasonably, and well organized in their Santa Ana location) and were SUPER impressed. We ended up going with another caterer for our wedding but because their food and service left an impression, when we were planning our baby shower last year, we immediately thought of soho taco again! We went to another tasting event and it did not disappoint, so we retained soho to cater our shower. Why we would recommend Soho to ANYONE: 1). Great service. Selene was so great and made our lives easy. She was detailed oriented, very responsive, and answered a lot of our questions. She made us feel at ease planning our event and coordinated everything. Delivery was prompt (although probably should've asked for more prep/ set up time on the day of) and service was great. 2). Food was yummmmmy! Honestly, what's good caterer without great food? Our guests were as impressed by the food as we were. We initially wanted their on site cooking but ended up opting for the tray food (with warmers). They were just as tasty! The portion is on the smaller side though, not gonna lie, but it ended up being the perfect amount of food for us. If you have a big party, you might have to communicate that with them pre-event. Soho taco isn't the cheapest but the quality is there, so it really depends on what you want and what kind of event/ catering you're looking for. Definitely go to one of their tasting events and try for yourself! We are a fan! read more

Whether you've got a party of 10 or 100, Soho is the place you want to call! :) I had a small party of 15 of my girlfriends join me poolside for my bday. SoHo's to go packaging made it so easy to pick up, transport, and set up. They used Saran Wrap and foil to keep everything fresh and hot, you also have the option to add on chafers, if you wish. We got the chicken, carne asada, tortillas, Spanish rice, refried beans, chips, and all the toppings. Oh my gosh, I almost forgot the star of the show, the mini bean and cheese burritos were an ABSOLUTE HIT! We got a dozen of them and that was the first thing to get wiped out. Don't skip on these, you have to get them for your party! You ever cater tacos and end up with your party liking the meat but not the sides or vice versa? This is the first time that my guests and I ABSOLUTELY LOVED everything, the sides, the sauces, and the meat, everything was delicious, there was nothing we could complain about. Alexis and Selene were amazing, professional and so friendly. We went for the Premier Package and got the Mahi, Shrimp, Carne, and Chicken taco package. All of the salsas and sides and extras were delicious!!
