I have used her before for corporate event with a headcount of 300+ and it was always phenominal! This time we were needing catering for a Celebration Of Life for my wife's grandpa, It was small ~100 people. We wanted just appetizers, drinks and desserts. After selecting our appetizers, drinks and cupcakes we were sent the invoice. She included full service for two hours, she didn't want us to worry about anything. We have someone who is allergic to gluten and Carolina was more than accommodating. The day of service the caterers showed up EARLY!!!! How awesome! They were ready to go and I showed them where to set up and reminded them about the allergy. The display was amazing, it was so beautiful and more than we could ask for (pictures). The servers were on top of it, the food was being plated as people took it to make sure it was fresh (no chaffing dishes)! Where do I begin? Gourmet Lovers is AMAZING! We got married 2/23/19 with 110 guests. I had narrowed it down to 2 catering companies and decided to go with Gourmet even before trying the food because Carolina treated us like we were family. She was always available by email and phone. She worked with our budget. She made it such a stress free process! She even made time for us the day before Thanksgiving to meet with her and go over a tentative plan for the wedding. One of the best decisions I made was having Gourmet Lovers Catering cater my wedding. Every single thing was delicious! We received so many compliments that day on the tastiness of the passed appetizers and the delicious dinner. My now-husband and I were in heaven at the food trial. I was so happy we picked Gourmet Lovers Catering to cater for my 50th Birthday Party last night! Since it was a dance party, we ordered a variety of appetizers, cake an a couple of mini desserts, and couldn't have been happier with the turnout. Carolina was the most helpful in the planning process, helping with my selections, making suggestions on popular items and identifying gluten free options for some guests, adjusting quantities, as well as helping with table and linen rentals. She even had a great recommendation for a bartender! Carolina was always available for questions, changes, very professional, and made the process very painless. Boris and his team arrived on time and the setup was very smooth. The servers were very attentive and kept passing trays, making sure everyone was offered an array of appetizers. The selections were very tasty and we all really enjoyed them. The only thing I would have liked different was for some items that were tray passed to be served on little plates rather than grabbed, such as the stuffed mushrooms which can get a little messy. But otherwise service was flawless. The cake and mini dessert cups were amazing! I send a very rough design of the cake I wanted to Carolina, and they executed it beyond my expectations! And it was delicious! (we picked marbled cake with chocolate ganache and italian meringue icing). I should have stuck to Carolina's initial suggestion of just a 1/2 sheet for 50 guests a lot of guests don't eat cake (pity :) so the extra 1/4 sheet I decided to order just in case was too much. Good thing I love cake! The mini s'mores and banana fosters were very popular. Carolina even agreed to make the s'mores gluten free. The 2 servers Sofia and Gustavo were amazing, making sure we always had what we needed throughout the evening. They even helped us tear down, clean up and organize everything once the party was over. We have used them, Boris the Chef and Carolina the pastry magician at least for four different occasions and have nothing but great things to say. Boris is a master Chef, Carolina prepares the great looking/tasting cakes and the serving staff is always very respectful and hardworking. My wife and I was celebrating our 50th Wedding Anniversary and had approximately 85-90 in attendance and everyone raved how delicious the appetizers, dinner and dessert was all evening. The serving staff kept the trash cleaned up and was constantly picking up used dishes and glasses and disposing them. I contacted at least 9 catering companies for an event for 150 people taking place in two weeks and Gourmet Lovers was by far the best! Customer Service: Carolina the co-owner, contacted me with in minutes of me sending a request through yelp. She answered all my questions sent me all the information I needed and followed up promptly. She accommodated all my requests although it was a last minute event and gave me suggestions for the menu and time line of the event. Service: Carolina put together appetizers, dinner, waiters and the bar tender service which saved a lot of time and it made everything super easy. Their set up was beautiful and we got a ton of compliments. The waiters were amazing, very professional, hard working, polite and organized. The bartender was personable and new how to make every drink posible including a virgin mango pineapple drink that was delicious. The food: this was the best part!
