We used Something Special Catering for my daughter's bridal shower a few weeks ago. We told Taylor about our theme and our garden vision for the party, and he worked with us to develop the menu, which suited our event perfectly. Ty delivered the food and set-up and was very accommodating. Our guests were extremely impressed with the presentation of the food, and of course, with the quality and taste. A highlight for everyone included the guys' tea sandwiches. Our friends commented they were the tastiest they'd ever eaten! We were truly impressed with Something Special and recommend them without hesitation. read more

Amazing food! Amazing presentation! Very reasonable prices. And just overall the best experience you could want. Very friendly staff. I had a last minute bridal shower to host and didn't give them much time in advance to prepare 5 or 6 different trays for me, but they helped me out and got it done in time and the trays were all beautiful! Big hit for the party! 10/10 recommend!! read more

Extremely reliable company. Great work ethic for these two young owners of something special catering. We had a problem with one of our vendors regarding the chairs being set up for our wedding, and they stepped in and offered to help without any hesitation. We have already booked them for our next event in July. Food was delicious. You will not be disappointed if you hire this company. Dee Dee and Dominick Monaco read more

I recently had the pleasure of working with Something Special Catering, and I cannot recommend them enough. We were in a time-sensitive situation, needing to arrange a full breakfast service for 50 people at the last minute, and their team exceeded every expectation. For my mothers memorial which was beautifully done. First off let me tell you we had so much food left over for the price. We loved the Shrimp Ceviche we order 2X and it was gone :). The salads were great especially the BBQ Chicken was a hit. We also ordered the Tri Tip sliders and the chicken Focaccia pesto mayo, Yummy! We ordered some more finger sandwiches that I thought added a delicate touch to the table, then deserts we couldn't decide but Texas sheet cake sliced and ready to grab we loved (i didnt get to try it I was too busy hosting). We will use them in the future for sure! BTW I still have the container we borrowed and will drive it over next time I'm free again so sorry about that. :) read more

Much needed and overdue review here. My wife and I only ordered their Tri-tip sliders for our baby shower, but needless to say based on all their 5 star reviews the Something Special Catering team delivered above and beyond our expectations. Everyone at the party were raving about how good the sliders were and anything left over was gone in a flash. Be sure to support your local businesses with Something Special Catering. They have so many options with reasonable pricing. Their team was on point from delivery to pickup and made our experience extremely pleasant. We were first introduced to Something Special Catering back in 2020, and they've been our go-to ever since. Year after year, event after event, they continue to exceed expectations. Most recently, they catered two of our parties--one in Coto (65 guests) and another in Big Canyon (50 guests)--and the feedback was unanimous: rave reviews for days. Guests couldn't stop talking about the innovative menu, the flawless presentation, and the consistently delicious bites. In a time when so many businesses feel impersonal or short-lived, Something Special stands out. Their turnkey service, attention to detail, and hands-on involvement (yes, by the actual owners!) make working with them both refreshing and rewarding. We recommend them without hesitation--and with one caveat: book early. Once you've experienced what they bring to the table, you'll understand why they're in such high demand. They've more than earned it. Enjoy! read more

Ty and Taylor did a fabulous job preparing food for a recent birthday party I hosted. They were great to work with, super responsive, and delivered outstanding food. We enjoyed everything they prepared for us. The fruit platter was beautiful and artfully arranged with super fresh fruit, the Southwest Pasta Salad was delicious, and the Tri-Tip sliders were the hit of the party. I attended a party about a year ago and Something Special Catering also supplied the food for that event. The Chicken Piccata dinner was served and it was wonderful. There were warming trays to keep the warm things warm and tags to describe what each item was. Everyone loved the tequila honey chipotle shrimp skewers and the Tri-tip sliders were wonderful. We were looking for a caterer for a party of about sixty people. Finding one is not easy. We visited four establishments before finding these guys. Their office is in the kitchen. The desk is a prep table. We had an appointment and two guys were waiting with everything ready. The office, aka kitchen, was very clean and organized. Taylor and Ty reviewed our needs and made some recommendations. We decided that they were the ones and placed an order. Day of event they, Taylor and Ty in person, were at the door exactly on time. So they not only plan the menu, they go shopping for the ingredients, they prepare them and deliver and set everything up with great class and decorum. They may be young but they know what they are doing. Everyone loved the food, it was very delicious. They even sent me a handwritten thank you note. They are our go to caterers and I seriously recommend them for any needs that you may have. They will exceed your expectations. Nick David Not affiliated with them in any way. read more

This is an exceptional catering service. I had a housewarming party recently and hired them! They were very professional but the best part is that their food was remarkable! The presentation of the grazing table was exactly as I had envisioned! The area was 4'x6' and it looked like a masterpiece! It was art for sure and the food was beyond good. There was 75 people and everyone was talking about it taking photos! The appetizer table was also beautiful and the food was delicious, as well as the dessert table! Thank you so much for catering my sons engagement party. The sandwiches and pasta salad were delicious. I will definitely use you again.

We use Something Special at work, and I've used them before with the original owner Nancy. This is my first time using Ty and Taylor for something personal and oh my goodness... they are even more Something Special than before! They catered a bridal shower I was hosting and we worked on a menu together. I even suggested a specific salad with ingredients I requested and they did a great job. With under a week to go before the event, I changed my mind about what I was serving for dessert and they stepped up with their fabulous bars- the Lemon Bars are legendary and I added the Carrot Cake bars and the Creme Brûlée bars. Holy moly...they are so good. Our servers were Jessica and Tiffany and they were wonderful, professional, friendly, and they even brought to go boxes, which several guests took advantage of (yay, less for me to bring home). Something Special really is... use them!!! read more

We used Something Special Catering for a small Christmas holiday dinner party in December. The owners, Ty and Taylor, were wonderful to work with. They allowed me to select whatever entrees the guests wanted. It wasn't a one or two-type selection. They offer an extensive menu selection for entrees, appetizers, salads, and desserts. All of our guests raved about the dinner. We hired servers to help us out the evening of our event and guess who showed up. Ty and Taylor and they helped with everything. From serving to washing dishes. The whiskey bread pudding is to die for. We offered multiple deserts t but the bread pudding was completely gone. Ty & Taylor do catering all over, so I highly recommend them for your next party... I know we'll be hiring them again. read more

We used Something Special Catering for our backyard wedding and they were absolutely amazing! We worked with Taylor and Susie to create a perfect menu for our cocktail hour and buffet dinner reception for 80 people. We had a few dietary restrictions to accommodate and they were quick to come up with ideas that would be just as good as the other foods we had picked. The food was delicious and many guests commented on how it was so much better than the typical wedding dinner that is usually just average. Additionally, the price was extremely reasonable, especially for wedding catering! Communication was great before, during, and after the wedding. They were quick to reply to any of my questions and would also reach out if they needed any clarification or more details as we got closer to the day of. They also provided us with some very helpful advice and tips as we maneuvered through the chaos that is wedding planning. We had 5 servers working our wedding, including Taylor and Ty, and service was exceptional from every single person! Everyone was very professional, friendly, and so very helpful! I felt the team really went above and beyond to ensure all things food and drink went smoothly for our special day and we are so appreciative.
