They helped with baiting the hooks, unhooking the catches, cleaning the fish, and providing unparalleled entertainment. We couldn't have asked for a better day on the water, the fish were biting and the weather was absolutely perfect. The captain kept putting us right on the fish and we ended the trip with plenty to bring to a restaurant for a hook and cook dinner. I can't recommend this place enough, the price is right and the people running it and keeping it going are great. The captain even let us know when a pod of dolphins were nearby so we could enjoy seeing them! Such an unexpected and great bonus to the day! It is BYOB if you want, but onboard they do have some beverages and snacks for purchase (cash only on board), but we brought our own which worked out well. Tickets can be purchased with debit or credit cards, but cash on board is king for drinks/snacks, tips, and fish cleaning so make sure to bring some cash for your day on the water! If you're in the middle keys and want a great value for a fishing trip without a full charter, this is the best there is and totally worth it.

I live in Miami and it takes me about two hours to get down to the Marathon Lady but it is definitely worth to drive and I pass about a dozen other party boats on the way. There is no party fishing boat that is better than the Marathon Lady, I know because I have tried them all. It's a family run business, and all of the crew always recognized me and my cousin. We had a beautiful day on the water, a great boat ride, and a lot of fish caught. John put us on the fish right away. Johnny and Nick both were kind, funny and considerate. Take this fishing charter if you want to catch fish!! We were going to take another rival party…read moreboat until we heard about Sea King. Glad we listened!! We took our two small daughters with us and had a blast. When we got out to the reef the captain had us on the snapper. As soon as your line hit the water you were reeling in a keeper. We caught so many we started throwing them back! I actually got sea sick when the sun went down, and had to go in the cabin to lay down. The mate that was working with us tried his best to make me as comfortable as possible, and he was excellent with our daughters. Even though I was sick as a dog,lol, I enjoyed hearing my daughters and husband reeling in all them fish!! Two adults and two children it was $144.00. That was less than anywhere else. The captain don't charge any more money, rods no charge, bait no charge!! You do need to bring you a cooler with a lunch and drinks. You can also bring your own poles if you want. Hands down this is a great value for a awesome time!! Have fun catching all hem fish, and leave us some.:)
