Booked a 3/4 day trip on the 32' Main Attraction IV for my teenage daughter's first offshore trolling experience. Born and raised in the Keys, Captain Daniel, 4 years out of high school provided us with the ultimate experience. From the moment we arrived at the dock, Daniel made us feel right at home! He immediately inquired about my goal for the trip. And although we had booked a trolling trip, he was well prepared for any eventuality with plenty of fresh cut bait and chum, as well as trolling rigs and ballyhoo. In 4 and a half hours of actual lines in the water, we put over 20 mahi, 4 blackfin tuna, and a bonita in the boat. Back at the dock, all fish were cleaned and bagged within 30 minutes. I cannot say enough good about Captain Daniel! This young man is highly motivated, knowledgeable, cheerful, and was clearly concerned with making this the best possible experience for Dad and teenage daughter. We had the absolute best time on a 3/4 day trip with Captain Aaron and First Mate Cole. We were supposed to go to a wreck and a reef, but had so much luck/fun on the wreck we never got to the reef. Our 13 year old daughter caught a monster amberjack and yellowtail, my husband landed a gargantuan barracuda, and I snagged a giant cravelle jack. We also caught several Spanish mackerels, kingfish, yellowtail, and spade fish (like angelfish). We released the spade fish and barracuda back to the wild, but harvested the rest and filled our freezer to sustain us through the winter and to smoke on our return to chilly Michigan. Capt. Aaron and FM Cole taught us some of their techniques on how to catch, chum, and land ocean fish. Learned a lot and had a blast. As a plus, we saw some dolphins on our way back to shore and had a manatee sighting when we returned to the dock while they cleaned our catch. An absolute fun day and definitely lit the fire in our daughter to be excited about fishing. This was a day we will not soon forget. read more

Main Attraction came highly recommend and did not disappoint! Katie was extremely pleasant, informative and super helpful recommending the best charter to suit our needs. We went out with Captain Steve on the Reel Attraction on our son's 17th birthday. When we arrived at the marina, the well equipped boat was ready to go and Steve discussed options for the day. We had no prior experience fishing saltwater and he did a great job educating us on the fish as well as how to catch them. We set up on the reef and brought in a bounty of Yellowtail Snapper. Just over half way through our trip, we huddled up with Steve to discuss options to finish our day in deep waters and away we went. He did an amazing job setting us up targeting Sailfish and it was not long before we had one on! After just 15 short minutes (what seemed like an eternity), the Birthday Boy caught a 75 pound Sailfish! What an amazing trip and a birthday to remember. This was our second trip out with Main Attraction charter fishing (both times were awesome). These guys are great from start to finish, Daniel who wasn't even taking us out helped load our cooler and stuff onto the boat immediately upon arrival. Capt. Kegan and Digger were stellar all around, from preparedness, knowledge, working with our three kids (ages 9,11,13). Made for a most amazing day of fishing despite choppy seas. Caught two amazing black groupers (weren't in season so couldn't keep, but still fun as crap to catch and honestly loved seeing a fish like that go back to live on), the yellowtails not so lucky they're in the pan now. Pulled into the dock and great fillets to take home within 30 minutes. I would highly recommend any charter with these guys, going to run ya $1000+ with tip and all but if you want to make a family memory that will last a lifetime, it's worth every penny!!! read more

Did a lot of research for a fishing charter prior to our trip to Marathon and finally settled on Main Attraction. I couldn't be happier with my choice! You can probably find slightly less expensive charters but you get what you pay for! I went out with my father in law, brother in law and my 6 year old son. We all had an incredible time and best of all Captain Shelby and Erick delivered on the fish. We arrived at 6:45am as requested and within 10 minutes we were headed out in search of Mahi. The knowledge and expertise of Captain Shelby and Erick was priceless as evidenced by our 20 Mahi catch! We will definitely be back! Don't chance booking anywhere else. read more

Fishing with Marty, Shelby, and Dillon is an absolute must if you're in the Marathon area! These guys are top notch and will keep you on the fish. We went three times in a week and every time was an adventure. We caught Sailfish, dauphin, Blackfin tuna, amberjack, kingfish, Spanish mackerel, and who knows what else. They even heard my son say how cool it would be to catch a barracuda so they stopped and let him catch one! We're going home with coolers full of fresh fish and memories that will last a lifetime. Best Charter Service in Marathon! I HIGHLY recommend Main Attraction! We had a great time fishing with Main Attraction 5 different times in February 2023. Caught huge Mutton's, big Yellowtails, and nice Kings, vermillion, and Amberjack. We even did really good on a day when everyone around us wasn't catching a thing! We've fished many different charter companies in Marathon over the years and Main Attraction performs the best! I'm a director for probably the largest fishing tournament in Michigan with over 700 fisherman and 175 boats, and believe me, these guys can fish! read more

my husband, myself and our two children (5&7) charted with Main Attraction and we were not disappointed. we booked through Katie and she made it super easy to find the right boat for our goals. The day of our charter, we explained to our captain what our goal was and he absolutely nailed it! We ended up with 28 mahi and some tuna. Made reservations with a different boat 4 days in advance tben got screwed at the last minute! Called Main Attraction and they were very friendly & helpfull. Got me a charter the next days. Had to take adternoon since that was all they had left. Afternoons are not very successful for me but owner assured me fish were running. Unfortunately a storm blew in early & did not catch anything. Owner felt so bad he offered me a refund. Not his fault the storm came early but what a great guy! read more

The Main Attraction V was the boat of choice for my wife and I for our anniversary trip to the keys. The website is very helpful for picking the right boat, and the captain of the boat was awesome! We wanted to catch mahi mahi and even some on fly, and the crew did just that! Not to mention helped my wife hook and land a 57incher that was the biggest of the boat for the year! The entire fleet is awesome, our captain, Steve is the bomb. He checked with us the day before, to find out what kind of fishing we wanted to do. He tried to accommodate us in every way.
