I've used Castro on 3 seperate occasions this year and they have been life savers every time. I called on a Thursday night for an emergency service due to a employee getting sick in the office and a possible Covid situation. They came quickly and cleaned all contaminated areas including the bathroom and disinfected everything. They took care of it quickly and safely and we were back in business within the next couple hours. The second time I spilled motor oil on the carpet and they saved me from having to replace our office carpet. Thirdly they cleaned my apartment carpets and made these wornout, old carpets look great. They also said they do a lot of rentals and to let the rental company know if there are any problems they will come back and take care of it. The Castro family are professional and are the best at what they do. I trust them with my companies and personal cleaning. You won't be disappointed with there attention to detail and hard work. read more

Really nice experience in every way...from the initial call to book the cleaning to when the cleaners left, gave me their phone number and said to contact them directly if there were any issues. This is a family owned business and you can feel the dedication in every aspect. I was renting a home on the beach in Sandy Land and was moving out. I had several area rugs cleaned as well as a sofa and all turned out great. The owners were very pleased also. The price was very reasonable too. read more

Castro's is the best choice for carpet cleaning. They came exactly on time, took precisely as long as they said it would, the price was very reasonable, and the results were excellent. You can't go wrong with Castro's. read more

I had a very simple job to get done -- a one bedroom apartment. The smells linger and the carpet is still unclean in appearance -- very disappointing read more

Rude/unprofessional/I had my carpets cleaned by them a few years ago. Yesterday they were cleaning my neighbors apartment. Castro's employees decided to talk sh@t about me and my apartment to my neighbor. Then go on to talk sh@t about how I look. What type of unprofessional assh@les are you guys? Don't you guys have anything better to do then act like children? read more

I saw this carpet cleaning company on the freeway and called them because I was in urgent need of help regarding my carpets and furniture due to some very destructive tenants. I only had a certain amount of time to get the work done. They made time to come to my Rivera home within 2 hours to give me their professional advice regarding some of the damage. We rescheduled for another day. On that day, they called to say they were on their way and will be a few minutes late. I really appreciated the phone call. The carpet cleaning estimate was such a great deal. They did a beautiful Job cleaning my bedroom chair at a fair price. I would definitely use this company again. read more

The worst Called these guys three times for a service at my home. A simple sofa spray protection. I've spoken to three persons and each time they assured me they would come. They keep blowing me off and never arrives. I'm done with Castro. They are better for large organizations who have big jobs and who aren't concerned with details or a thorough job. If you've got an office building to clean...they may have best price point. If you have a lovely home in SB county...i suggest looking around for another service. read more

Castro"s cleaned my carpets and they did an excellent job. Very pleased with the service, cost and results. Thanks so much.

Great service - they arrived on time and did great work. My very dirty carpet looks as good as new. Will definitely use again. Thank you!

These guys are miracle workers! Not only have I used them for carpet cleaning, I have referred them to my clients. Recently they cleaned a heavily stained , dirty light colored carpet that I was sure was never going to come clean but they got it clean! Of course some stains cant be removed but they do impeccable work. I'm going to start referring them to my clients for window cleaning as well. read more

My family has been hiring Castro's for years. We had everything from expensive heirloom rugs to our rec room couches cleaned and *every* time the Owner and workers are responsive, reliable, trustworthy, mindful of their surroundings, and most importantly leave everything looking better than brand new. They are knowledgeable and care, even if something takes more time or if a rug needs offsite attention they just take care of it. This is by far the best option in California! Love Castro's. Thanks for making things look and smell! so fresh & so clean:) read more

This company was referred by a plumber here locally, said they were the best and knew their stuff. They showed up initially telling me they will use blueboard etc, etc when they replace the drywall stating if I am not happy with the job I don't pay, and they go above and beyond what the insurance company requires, all started off well, until the employee never showed up one day to check on the equipment, we texted and called the employee, no response, called and texted the owner, no response. I emailed the owner Juan in regards to the poor follow through and this is what happens next. After 7 days awaiting a response from the owner I am told he sent me an email stating he is too busy to finish the job, he if refusing to do the restoration after committing to do it in the first place! Then he states when he was out of town he sent me an email stating he would not finish the job, never received said email when I confronted him on this supposed email he stated he was in an area with bad service. We finally called him on 7/9 trying to find out why their equipment was still sitting in our front yard and no responses? Requested a copy of his bill a few days ago no response. Then he stated I can call the insurance company to have one of their approved vendors finish the job (all of this after he told us initially not use to use one of the preferred vendors so why the change of attitude? I am assuming they don't like the negatvie feedback when they don't follow through. Horrible at follow through and I certainly would NOT RECOMMEND THEM UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES!! I really dislike posting negative reviews but this is definately warranted. read more

We have used Castro's sense they started ( over 35 years ). I would highly recommend them.

I tried to hire this company. They would not provide a quote over the phone. When they showed on the last day of my move they tried to gouge me on price. When I disagreed with the price, they left. Castro's remediated some fungus and removed walls for us several months ago. They did a good job removing and replacing walls however their plumber reglued the sink to the incorrect position on the wall and they would not have them come out and repair the mistake without us paying out of pocket for their error which left a bad taste in my mouth. When I brought this issue to their attention they said that this is not covered because we didn't pay a 10% management fee for them to oversee the other contractors they brought in. It was never mentioned before. They also said that their was a range of what it would cost to do the job and even though it was described as a smaller job than they expected when they cut into the wall they charged the full price on the back end. read more

I made an appointment for 11:30 a.m. to have my carpets cleaned. They showed up at 10:50, and I wasn't home, and they left their card on my porch. When I returned at 11:10, I called them to let them know I was home. They said, "We've already gone to another job!" I have referred many people to this company, and I have been a very loyal customer. I even tip when I don't have to. Shows that they do not value me as a customer at all. You can't just show up whenever you want. That is what an appointment is for! Ruined my whole day. Made me VERY unhappy. The WORST customer service ever! read more

I have NEVER EVER been so disrespected by anyone as I have been by Ramón! Said he would call after running late when we had an appointment. Never called. We called said he'd call back bc his truck was broken down. Still did not call back. Called again, said it would be two hours. Two hours went by. Still no call. Finally when we called, gave me the, "if you are at a doctor appointment you'd be waiting 2-3 hours. I can bring my truck and show you how it's broken" when all we asked is to please give us a call because we had canceled an afternoon meeting to wait for them. Then guess what? He hangs up on us! Wow! Of the properties we own, we will NEVER recommend this company to anyone!!! He needs to learn customer service and class! If his son took care of the calls, it would have been a completely different experience. He took care of our apartments previously and never had an issue. Regretfully, Lost a customer and opportunities ahead. Too bad. read more

I had Castros cleaners come out to do my very dirty carpets. I can not believe what an amazing job they did. Its been two weeks and the carpets still look great. I say that because I have used other carpet cleaners and the day of the cleaning the carpets look great but it doesn't last. The stains work their way back up to the surface. Not Castros........they got beside and behind the toilet which is a first. The stairs have never been done right. I have had the other companies tech guys tell me there was no hope for removing the stains on the stairs. I thought it was a lost cause but when I got home I was absolutely thrilled. It just took a quality professional to do the job right. I would have expected it to be more then I had paid before but it was less then some of the other companies. So now I can finally say I have found the carpet cleaners for me. I recommend Castros across the board. You will be very happy with the job. read more

Castros was both professional and reasonably priced. They made our carpet look years newer and made us resolve to get them done by them more regularly, they looked so good! Our home looks infinitely healthier and brighter and we feel better in it. Really nice people too. read more

Dishonest buisness practices.Quoted me $150 for a house they cleaned in the past, gave me an invoice for $685.Spoke with the manager he refused to compromise. It was a smaller house with no blinds and no furniture. Also it was in great condition (we had only lived there 2 months)the paint and carpeting was brand new on our move in.Cleaning did not include the carpets, crown molding, or appliances other than an old gas stove. Please save yourself the grief and headache of this scam of a "company". I've seen Juan posted a lot. I dealt with a very unpleasant "Alfredo". read more

In December 2010 our condo suffered water intrusion from our neighbor's leaking/faultily installed washing machine. The staff of Castro's Carpet Cleaning Company were prompt and efficient in handling our case. My primary interactions were with Juan Castro. He was always courteous, kind and quick to respond to calls or emails. Their company also handled our neighbors far greater damage, but they never made our small issue a low priority to them, recognizing that it was a priority to us. So why write a review so many years later? Recently we were documenting our water intrusion issue for the sale of our condo, and were unable to locate our record of service. I sent an email via the company website one evening and got a personal call the next morning from Juan. He was able to locate our old record and get it to me quickly. I am so impressed with his commitment to see this through after so many years have passed. That's what I call excellent customer service! read more

Castro's carpet cleaning is very professional and does a wonderful job! don't waste your time calling anywhere else

I actually created a Yelp account in order to share my story of poor service. Just moved to the area and rented a place. Upon inspection and prior to move-in I gave the owner a list of things that needed to be cleaned and/or fixed. Was assured all had been taken care of by Castro Cleaning. Sadly, when we arrived absolutely nothing had been done. Place was filthy. Carpets were stained and dirty, windows were crusted with dust, spiderwebs and leaves. I had Ramon and his team come back to re-do the job while I was there to supervise. They showed up late and tried to blame me for the carpet stains and dirt. I provided them with a detailed list of things that needed to be done but apparently it was not detailed enough (when you hire someone to clean the entire place you assume they will do the basics like dusting without specifically needing to be told...or am I crazy to assume that?). They kept saying "ok, we are done" and then when I walked through and inspected with them I would show them yet another thing that had not been touched. I finally just let them leave as I could not stand having them in the house any longer. read more

I am a Carpinteria resident and have utilized the services of Castro's Carpet Cleaning Company numerous times throughout the years for both my business and home for carpets, floors and general cleanup. Each time I have found them to be prompt, professional, trustworthy and courteous. About five years ago at my offices we had a water main break in our bathrooms which created quite a mess, spewing toilet water throughout our offices and warehouse. I immediately called Castro's advising them that I required emergency service. Castro's was on scene within Thirty minutes, arriving at the same time as the plumbers. They removed all our furniture from our offices and started to perform an immediate cleanup of the bathroom's, offices and warehouse within Forty Five minutes of the break. Castro's staff and a supervisor remained on site for over two hours plus cleaning up and decontaminating every square inch of the problem area. If it were not for Castro's we would have suffered great loss of furniture, equipment, computers and warehouse product. It also enabled us to open our doors for business, the very next day! For my home, we employ Castro's twice a year to clean our carpets, floors, tile and sofa's, each time they have performed over and above. We have been very happy with their work and continue to hire Castro's whenever the need arises for our cleaning needs. We continue to use Castro's and highly recommend them to anybody requiring cleaning and carpet services. read more

Juan Castro was highly recommended by a friend when we came home from vacation to find our toilet had broken and pretty much our whole house flooded. Juan walked us through the whole process from assessing the damage, drying out our house (which included removing all the floor and much of the drywall) and then he coordinated the rebuild. He is very friendly, honest and professional, and really helped us work with our insurance company and understand what to expect every step of the way. read more

Juan and his team have an attention to detail that is second to none. It's a pleasure to do business with him!

I commend Ramon and the Castro Cleaning staff for the amazing job they did on a water restoration job they did at our home in Carpinteria. From the time I placed the call to when the job was finished, it was a very pleasant experience - even though we were unhappy that we had a minor flood from the dishwasher malfunction. They were on time after I made the initial call (they were there within 1 hour of my call). The husband and wife team who did the restoration and drying out the carpet were amazingly thorough from getting the water removed from the carpet / flooring and got the carpet cleaned so there would be no water marks. Castros Cleaning is very reasonably priced. They ensured the carpet was stretched back and tacked down making it look like nothing ever happened. I highly recommend Castros Cleaning and I wish them continued success. read more

I recently incurred major water damage to my home. The cause was a slow leaking toilet unsuspected over months. Water bill never increased. July 17,2015, I awakened to find my Oak wood floor bucked from my bedroom, down the hall into the den and also guest room, not to mention damage to the bathroom's floor. I called my Home Insurance Company following approval, I called Juan Castro for water restoration. Juan responded quickly and action took place very quickly. Before I knew it the furniture, bed, books, clothes from two closets were on the way to storage. The involved area was repaired as quickly as possible to include replacing the floor with Red Oak to match the none involved portion of the house. I highly recommend The Castro Water Restoration team lead by Juan. I also recommend the Castro Carpet & Cleaning. They are really efficient & reasonable. Castro's was called out by my property management company for a water leak in my apartment. Juan came over to inspect the water leak, which was all over the first floor, and gave his honest option which was spot on. Juan left and came back in a couple hours (the same day) with a team and they took care of everything! They installed 12 fans within my home and put up a plastic block so it wouldn't blow all over the house. They also packed away all my furniture and put everything into boxes in the living room, dining room, parts of the kitchen and a closet. They treated it like it was their own and moved everything out to the garage. Juan came to check on the progress on Saturday and Sunday and gave me a status on how everything was going. They also took my LARGE living room carpet to be dried and cleaned. I was so happy to work with them under there horrible circumstance and would highly recommend them to anyone.
