Went to this establishment over the weekend and to say the least I got robbed by the owner for a…read moretitle transfer, upon arrival I spoke with her about the documents needed and provided them, while she was processing the documents I was surveying the price list she has posted in the office (later to find out that these are just penndots fees, not her additional fees) she completes the data submittance and generates a total of $217 which I then asked for an itemized statement of charges before checkout because I've personally done this more than once and never been charged that much, she told me that that wasn't possible (someone in the office suggested to take a picture and show me but she declined) and said I wouldn't find a better price on the service in the area and explained how much it cost for a document to be approved by her legal team, as well as the day of operation (Saturday, all these things are associated with her choice of hours of operation and dues to the business she chose to run, I just came for a service) so when I pushed back to say I wasn't happy with the price again and began to speak to the seller of the vehicle to find another option, she rudely cut us off and said if we chose to go elsewhere the title would be void and we would have to obtain another before completing the process, so I explained I would be fine with that, the seller petitioned to lessen the issue she would pay the difference of what the notary was requesting, (still not happy with this I accepted the gesture but reimbursed the seller when we left) and the owner even tried to speak down to me for the choice of how I decided to handle it with the seller and comment on her suggesting to put up the difference, but the audacity was well known when she told me after all of this if I was nicer (the other worker asked me well what can you pay?) she would give me a deal, I was so unthrilled with this interaction that I provided the money immediately with no more discussion and requested my itemized statement to see I was charged $136 over what penndots mandatory fees are! Calling places local there as well as to me I was quoted $100 less. Doing my diligence I arrived at the understanding that every notary that operates is supposed to have applicable fees available to the customer and it's unfortunate this place does not, I would hope that they make this adjustment in the future, I have contacted the better business bureau as well as submitted a complaint with the Pennsylvania notary board to ensure that this doesn't happen to customers in the future instead of being manipulated and by "the boss" . When I couldn't provide my id she couldn't accept a picture of it thru email because "penndot has come snooping around too many times and it was illegal" well I definitely think that there are other reasons for potential suspicions into this business, respect acrossed the board for business owners because I am one myself but I don't support deception of customers and even more so being profiled as a person that has to give to someone that doesn't
