I made an appointment to get my emergency brake repaired and the park assist repaired. A couple weeks later the brakes started making noise, Kalawasky had just done their "MULTI POINT INSPECTION" so I thought can't be that bad, but I called in to say the brakes were making noise, could they look at it on December 15 2023, service thanked me for the heads up and I did not think much of it. Took it in on December 15 dropped it off to get repaired. Came back a couple of hours later they had only done a diagnostic. Also the brakes were metal on metal! I asked how could this happen when I had it in last month, they'd done a "MULTI POINT INSPECTION" and nothing was noted. The Service Advisor said he would look into it. Later he told me, "It was missed." Since it was not safe to drive, called my wife to pick me up, an hour drive for her one way. I called December 20 to find out the status, was told I would have it before Christmas. December 22 Kalawaski called around 3:45, said nothing was done and it would be ready December 27 and offered a loaner car, I didn't need a loaner and I would have to drive for an hour to get it, so I didn't take it. Got it back December 27 2023 the new brakes and rotors cost us $2980.21 and the diagnostic cost us $124.00 even though they had it in their shop in November.

With no cell service in the area, we eventually got the truck started and coasted straight into the Castlegar dealership. From the minute we arrived, we were treated incredibly well and were reassured that the service techs would get to the bottom of the matter and that they would have us on our way again. We are always wary of dealerships but since we still had a few hours of driving, wanted the job done right. And Castlegar Toyota did a great job of quickly finding out the issue, even calling the quick lube shop that had serviced our truck the day before to confirm their procedures and confirmed that mistakes had been made. They had us back on the road within 1 1/2 hours (with a free bbq tool too!). The cost of their services we felt were very reasonable and comparable to other shops. We're grateful to the staff at Castlegar Toyota for getting us to our destination safely.

But you really know what kind of people you are dealing with when things really go wrong. My engine failed on me as I was returning from holidays. I eventually had the vehicle towed to Castlegar Hyundai and those guys took care of everything! My anxiety was at an all time high thinking that my warranty had just expired and that I would be on the hook for a new engine but they took care of everything without any issues. They even agreed to cover the cost of my out of pocket tow charges. I was without a vehicle for a couple of weeks but the service department kept me updated, always took my calls and were incredible with their communication. When I picked up my car, the car detail and wash was outstanding. Last time I saw my car look like that was when I drove it off the lot 5 years ago! I really felt that I was appreciated as a customer and the entire service department went the extra mile to make me feel appreciated. A special thank you to Darryl and Jeff!

Lucky that I just started moving and was not travelling at high speeds. Took care of it out of pocket, since I was in another town. called them and they apologized, but would cover any of the costs. Sent photos of calliper broken off and hanging, even brought in brake pads and calliper cores show what happened. Rotor was not damaged. They did nothing, not even any kinda of courtesy. Fck them, disgusting, out $900. hoping even for them to cover half. Losers, so unprofessional.

We had them do a credit check under the false pretense of that price and then would not honour it when we were prepared to close the deal. Also planned to travel many hours to pick it up and were told the day before our trip that they needed to replace the windshield and it wouldn't be ready for another 4-5 days. Manager kept being too busy to talk to us and then couldn't be bothered to call us back. Incredibly unprofessional. The kind of treatment you would expect from a shady used car dealer.

Turns out he is really good at stretching the truth. Was told by the owner we would be given a $500 credit because we did not want the tv being offered as a promotional gimmick when a new vehicle order was placed so we selected a dashcam. But no credit was ever given, told us the dashcam was given to us at their cost..wrong again, we paid ford Canada price for it. Just a series of lies that have left a really poor taste. The excuse for the dishonesty? Was that we got a really good deal on our trade in. The rudeness of Devon the sales manager that we should "bring the car back" if we didn't like it was the final straw. We turned to Ford Canada customer care. Jason was incredible, truly cared and was appalled at how we were treated by AM Ford. he made it right by issuing us a $1000 credit, which is how much AM Ford screwed us out of. Promised the dealership would receive an internal negative review. They won't ever see our business again. Recommend that no one trust the sales managers there. The financial guy Bruce was great, he had no idea the BS going on Service guy is great too. The sales guy Ashton we first dealt with was a nice guy. Nelson Ford had exactly the vehicle I needed; the price was very reasonable; answers to questions were gotten promptly; negotiations went as they should; minor details were cleared up quickly and without any trouble; and they even delivered my vehicle. I've never made a smoother vehicle purchase. Mark and Jerry are both respectful, effective, direct, unpretentious communicators and I really appreciate their getting the job done well. I love Nelson, my new vehicle is just right for me, and I'm so thankful to Nelson Ford. I'm a harsh judge but in this case I have to give five out of five.

The service department was AWESOME. They made the key, programed the key, programed a new key fob and all was well. I was stunned at how friendly and service oriented they were to a complete stranger that was only in need of a key. I am a huge GM fan in general. It developed problem within a few weeks…read more I asked the dealership for help as they had a 12 month 12000 warranty and the vehicle still had factory powertrain warranty then they added another 5 year 60000 insurance policy to my sales contract without asking me. I did sign for it after the fact as they knew I would... When it came time for help with the bills it created I got stonewalled and still am being that. I sold it today and want you all to be very very wary of this dealership. Their 12/12000 warranty was told to me as a bumper to bumper but when it was needed it a powertrain only. I asked the GM for the aftermarket warranty contact and got stonewalled yet again... Draw your own conclusions but I would not send a soul to this dealership EVER. SHADY SHADY SHADY...
