I started my glasses free journey the end of 2020 by looking for a place where not only would I be able to just live life glasses free (in case of a zombie apocalypse who wants to be fumbling for glasses) but also a place that made the experience comfortable. Looking through reviews and asking around with friends and family who have had the procedure done, I settled on King Lasik because you were also able to book your appointment online. I went in for my first appointment in December which was a consultation where they checked your eyes and went over what the surgey day was like as well as costs, and it all went really well. The optometrist was really awesome and every step of the way I felt that I was in good hands. Pro tip if you can for the love of all things please have someone drive you home after this appointment due to the dialation that they need to do. I was given a appointment date for early January which was quite quick considering the covid restrictions. When the day came, you are to be dropped off and picked up, I was nervous but of course excited to that it would be the last day of my blurry vision. The process was a little hurry up and wait. There were quite a few people in the room and you have paper work, a few tests, you pay get your after care kit and instruction, get the optional Ativan, another wait and then you are in the procedure. That part is the quickest and then you go into recovery and are sent home to hopefully sleep. The procedure was for me just a bit weird. Like you are in a laser show. But really other than pressure painless. The after part, the first day you are sleeping and keeping your eyes closed but after that and you take off the little taped cups and see clearly, it is all worth it. It is really pretty remarkable to be able to see within 24 hours of the surgery. (Note this is my experience based on the classic laser eye surgery and not the Other custom one they do!) After this search, both Dr. Leong-Sit and Eye-Q very obviously stood out as the best of the best. I am now 3 months post-surgery, and I can say with complete confidence that I made the right choice. Every interaction experienced at this clinic has been a pleasure, right from the initial assessment, through the surgery, and during the several post-operative care appointments. The staff is efficient, friendly, and exhibit a level of professionalism that has the capacity to set a nervous mind at ease. The most notable example of this professionalism occurred just minutes before my surgery when, during the final fitness-for-surgery assessment, Dr. Leong-Sit effectively expressed his unbiased professional medical opinion that despite the plans for surgery in both eyes, due to a combination of circumstances involving a large variance in the magnitude of correction and how it related to my dominant eye, he felt that operating on only one eye would leave us with nearly all of the benefit while experiencing less medical risk. Despite being minutes from surgery and my payment already remitted in full, Dr. Leong-Sit put my best interest first and delayed the entire surgical team while we amended the paperwork, and the clinic provided me with a substantial refund. It would have been far easier, and twice as profitable to just simply comply with my initial wishes and operate on both eyes, and I'm sure there are other doctors out there that would have done just that. Instead, thanks to Dr. Leong-Sit's experience, professional integrity, and commitment to his practice, I was able to achieve nearly the same results with substantially less risk while also cutting the cost in half. I am very thankful for this guidance and patience during those final few pre-operative minutes. The surgery went like clockwork, I experienced zero side effects, and I now live my life with 20/20 vision without the hassle of corrective lenses. Super disappointing since I had heard good things before experiencing their non-existence customer service first hand." I had a phone call within 3 hours, where I had been waiting 4 days for an answer to a simple question. I ended up visiting LASIK MD in City Centre on December 3rd, 2019. I personally dealt with Lindsey, Jesse, Victoria & Phyllis, all of which were friendly, helped explained the process and were educated to answer the questions I had. I do feel the communication is a bit slow and believe the only reason I received a call back was because of the 1-Star negative review but I will be following through with the surgery in 2020 and will update my review at that time when I've used their services.

That honestly makes things so much easier. They also have a keurig in their waiting area for coffee and tea, as well as a water cooler. I,also, enjoy watching the awesome sights they put on the tv. It's always some kind of scenery like mountains or ocean or animals! Makes you feel awesome when your surgery is done and you can actually see everything. Worst business I've ever encountered! My 75yr old father went in for an eye exam, they told him he needed a new prescription. He liked the glasses frame he had, so they said they'd put new lenses in it. They took his only pair of glasses (which he told them at the time was his only pair) and left him without glasses. The next day I saw he couldn't watch TV, read or do anything and I asked where his glasses were? He said they took them and they'd call him when they were done. I phoned Infinite Eyecare and spoke to them and said "Yesterday you took my Dads only pair of glasses, he can't see etc..." but they told me they'd already shipped them out to the lens place (which I later found out to not be the case) and he'd get them back completed in 5-7 business days. My Dad couldn't see so I went somewhere else and had to buy him another pair of glasses because he couldn't do anything/see anything without them. It took infinite Eyecare over A MONTH to finish my Dad's glasses. With no updates or anything, when for all they knew he was sitting at home unable to see waiting for them. When I went in to explain I don't need these lenses that cost $250 (just for the lenses, his frames) because I had to buy him another pair of glasses they basically told me "Yeah that's to bad! Have a good day!" Then when I told them my Dad didn't want to speak with them anymore and to deal with me from now on (delete his number from their system) they didn't listen and phoned him anyways! I was speechless. I've never encountered a business like this who cares so little about it's customers. I could go on and on, but I think everyone reading this will get my point. Please if you love yourself and your family, don't go here. They don't care about you, they only care about themselves.

They call you, book you in for an exam (because you are due) but need to ask you how to spell your name, what your health care number is (they really should have it after you spent over a thousand dollars there already, and it doesn't change), then tell you you aren't actually due for an exam under your coverage. So, tell me why did they indicate a date one month prior to my appointment that I should come in? They market by mail, take time to call you reminding you that you are due for your exam but have to ask you all your details when you take time off work to come to the appointment they booked? Awful experience. What may be even worse is that they ask you if you have a senior or youth in your household...I did say that my father recently became a senior so they booked him in at the same time. He drove 3 hours from his home to come to this appointment. When I asked where the blue cross covered frames were she waved over in a general direction at the wall, not one ounce of customer service. Not one to easily walk out of something I took the time off work for, especially with my father there, we left. I have never been treated with such disrespect in my life. Absolutely unprofessional. Will not return or recommend.
