I found Dr…read more Leong-Sit at Eye-Q after considering many other options and directly consulting with two of his strongest competitors. After this search, both Dr. Leong-Sit and Eye-Q very obviously stood out as the best of the best. I am now 3 months post-surgery, and I can say with complete confidence that I made the right choice. Every interaction experienced at this clinic has been a pleasure, right from the initial assessment, through the surgery, and during the several post-operative care appointments. The staff is efficient, friendly, and exhibit a level of professionalism that has the capacity to set a nervous mind at ease. The most notable example of this professionalism occurred just minutes before my surgery when, during the final fitness-for-surgery assessment, Dr. Leong-Sit effectively expressed his unbiased professional medical opinion that despite the plans for surgery in both eyes, due to a combination of circumstances involving a large variance in the magnitude of correction and how it related to my dominant eye, he felt that operating on only one eye would leave us with nearly all of the benefit while experiencing less medical risk. Despite being minutes from surgery and my payment already remitted in full, Dr. Leong-Sit put my best interest first and delayed the entire surgical team while we amended the paperwork, and the clinic provided me with a substantial refund. It would have been far easier, and twice as profitable to just simply comply with my initial wishes and operate on both eyes, and I'm sure there are other doctors out there that would have done just that. Instead, thanks to Dr. Leong-Sit's experience, professional integrity, and commitment to his practice, I was able to achieve nearly the same results with substantially less risk while also cutting the cost in half. I am very thankful for this guidance and patience during those final few pre-operative minutes. The surgery went like clockwork, I experienced zero side effects, and I now live my life with 20/20 vision without the hassle of corrective lenses.     I went there for a free assessment for Laser. First tests…read morewere okay... then I should have seen doctor Leong, that was in the office, but they did not give me that chance. Instead I met a lady (not a doctor), that told me I was not a good candidate, without even checking my eyes after drops. On the screen they had, I was able to read my name with a green text "is a good candidate"... Experience looked hurried and not accurate to me.

    Receptionist when you first walk in the door needs education on customer service. I've never seen…read moresuch a rude woman in my life. asked a simple question and got snapped at. Asked if I could sit in waiting area while my spouse had eye exam. instead of a friendly "No ma'am, sorry it is only for patients of this clinic.". I received the following response " NO! For patients ONLY. Did you NOT see sign on the door! ". wow. we all miss things...and this was at 8:00am in the morning. I found the Doctor Hennig very knowledgeable, willing to take time to answer all questions and he was very forth right and straight. He clearly explained the risks of Cataract surgery as well as the three options for anastisia. He operates out of the Royal Alec in their specialised Ophthalmology unit. The staff there were also friendly, very helpful and very good at what they do. I was in an out in about 2 hours and the results so far, 4 days post surgery, are just great. Even with just local freezing you can't see anything that is happening, just a real brite white light on the eye they are working on and your other one is covered. There is no pain and I have had zero post op discomfort. I have 20-30 vision in my left eye now, first time since I was 4 that I have not needed glasses for distance vision. Once the right eye is done I will need glasses for reading but all in that is a good trade off. I was VERY worried about being operated on. At over 60 years of age I had never been in a hospital for anything and this is the first time ever seeing a Doctor for any procedure. He put me at ease and did a good job. Have now had the right eye done too and it went just as smoothly as the left eye. Overall a great experience with this Doctor. I would recommend this doctor highly.

Since approximately 2018, I have experienced ongoing difficulty reaching the clinic by phone after a longstanding pattern of not receiving callbacks after leaving voicemail messages. Calls frequently go unanswered, and voicemail messages are often not returned. This has been a consistent pattern over several years, resulting in limited ability to reliably contact the clinic regarding patient care concerns. On the occasions I have reached "Pat" (office assistant), I have been told she is busy. However, when I attend the clinic in person she has not appeared to be occupied with patient related tasks and has instead been conversing with staff or not engaged in work at the front desk. I have spoken to other patients that attend this clinic and they have the same complaints and find it highly annoying. This creates a barrier to accessing care and communicating with the office. Based on my experience, patients should be aware of communication challenges when dealing with this clinic.
