Can you out a price on waking up with perfect vision? Well, yes for all of those folks who rely on…read moreglasses to be able to function you can and really it is worth every penny. I started my glasses free journey the end of 2020 by looking for a place where not only would I be able to just live life glasses free (in case of a zombie apocalypse who wants to be fumbling for glasses) but also a place that made the experience comfortable. Looking through reviews and asking around with friends and family who have had the procedure done, I settled on King Lasik because you were also able to book your appointment online. I went in for my first appointment in December which was a consultation where they checked your eyes and went over what the surgey day was like as well as costs, and it all went really well. The optometrist was really awesome and every step of the way I felt that I was in good hands. Pro tip if you can for the love of all things please have someone drive you home after this appointment due to the dialation that they need to do. I was given a appointment date for early January which was quite quick considering the covid restrictions. When the day came, you are to be dropped off and picked up, I was nervous but of course excited to that it would be the last day of my blurry vision. The process was a little hurry up and wait. There were quite a few people in the room and you have paper work, a few tests, you pay get your after care kit and instruction, get the optional Ativan, another wait and then you are in the procedure. That part is the quickest and then you go into recovery and are sent home to hopefully sleep. The procedure was for me just a bit weird. Like you are in a laser show. But really other than pressure painless. The after part, the first day you are sleeping and keeping your eyes closed but after that and you take off the little taped cups and see clearly, it is all worth it. It is really pretty remarkable to be able to see within 24 hours of the surgery. (Note this is my experience based on the classic laser eye surgery and not the Other custom one they do!) So thank you to the staff at King Lasik for giving me my vision and just being great!

In fact, he provided me with more information that any other optometrist or ophthalmologist I've seen in the past. I had an initial exam, then scheduled another exam the following week to have my pupils dilated for a better look. I'm trying to find out if my "floater" is a big deal. Everything turned out ok. My Rx for progressive lenses was bumped up a little bit. I found a few beautiful frames and narrowed it down to Prada. There are many gorgeous designer frames. Dr. Tu helped me choose some. He claims to be very fashion conscious as well. :) I'm impressed that he also took the time to explain all the lens options. He took my measurements. I used my Yelp! discount and he upgraded my lenses with no extra charge. It took 7 business days for my glasses to be ready. He adjusted them for perfect fit and offered me 50% off an additional pair within 3 months. I might consider sunglasses . He can direct bill the insurance companies.

They were able to get me in the same day I called. The place wasn't very busy but it is quite small and I think relatively new. He was very thorough doing an exam on my baby's eyes and explained everything to me after he was done. Will be coming back!

When I began considering corrective eye surgery, the decision was not made lightly. I found Dr…read more Leong-Sit at Eye-Q after considering many other options and directly consulting with two of his strongest competitors. After this search, both Dr. Leong-Sit and Eye-Q very obviously stood out as the best of the best. I am now 3 months post-surgery, and I can say with complete confidence that I made the right choice. Every interaction experienced at this clinic has been a pleasure, right from the initial assessment, through the surgery, and during the several post-operative care appointments. The staff is efficient, friendly, and exhibit a level of professionalism that has the capacity to set a nervous mind at ease. The most notable example of this professionalism occurred just minutes before my surgery when, during the final fitness-for-surgery assessment, Dr. Leong-Sit effectively expressed his unbiased professional medical opinion that despite the plans for surgery in both eyes, due to a combination of circumstances involving a large variance in the magnitude of correction and how it related to my dominant eye, he felt that operating on only one eye would leave us with nearly all of the benefit while experiencing less medical risk. Despite being minutes from surgery and my payment already remitted in full, Dr. Leong-Sit put my best interest first and delayed the entire surgical team while we amended the paperwork, and the clinic provided me with a substantial refund. It would have been far easier, and twice as profitable to just simply comply with my initial wishes and operate on both eyes, and I'm sure there are other doctors out there that would have done just that. Instead, thanks to Dr. Leong-Sit's experience, professional integrity, and commitment to his practice, I was able to achieve nearly the same results with substantially less risk while also cutting the cost in half. I am very thankful for this guidance and patience during those final few pre-operative minutes. The surgery went like clockwork, I experienced zero side effects, and I now live my life with 20/20 vision without the hassle of corrective lenses. A big thank you Dr. Leong-Sit and the staff at Eye-Q!

I read one review about a person that had a bad visit and waited a long time and didn't see their doctor. I'm not sure what happened for them but in all of the years coming here I haven't had any experiences like that at all. Most times my appointments are on schedule and very efficient and quick. I am very satisfied with the Doctors and have no complaints at all with them. The place is bright and clean and they keep it that way and update the decor with the times. The desk staff have been here for many years as well so I think that is a good sign that this is a good business to work for. They also have a nice eye glass centre attached to their office. There is a parking lot out front and street parking around the corner if it fills up (which I have never experienced). I also suspect getting here by transit is easy as they are close to bus stops right in front on 82 Ave. I would recommend this place to anyone that asks me!

I booked my children's annual eye exams (ages 13 & 17), and when confirming the appointment, I was…read moreinformed that I would need to pay an additional $23 per child. I mentioned that Alberta Health should fully cover their annual eye exams, but the receptionist couldn't provide an answer and forwarded me to the manager, Matthew. Matthew explained that the additional charge was due to a change in Alberta Health's coverage. I was skeptical, so I called other eye care centers nearby to ask if any additional fees applied. The eye care center told me that as long as the exam is done once a year, it's fully covered by Alberta Health. I called Matthew back and shared what I had learned. His office/location had simply decided to charge an extra fee. If they want to add a fee, that's their choice, but they shouldn't mislead patients by claiming that Alberta Health changed its coverage because if that were the case, all eye care centers would be charging patients for the portion not covered by Alberta Health. So, I booked my children's annual eye exam at a different eye care center, which Alberta Health fully covers. Businesses should be upfront about their fees instead of misleading customers. Trust is built on transparency; patients deserve to know the truth rather than being misled into unnecessary charges.

Although the doctor and the staff was nice; They clearly weren't aware of how Canada Life works. As a result of that, They made us wait more than we should just to place the orders (because they didn't know how to take the money from Canada Life). They then figured it out and sent the sunglasses to the laboratory to put in the lenses with prescription. We waited until it was the end of August because they told us that they were going to inform us whenever the sunglasses arrive. After waiting for almost 2 months, We realized something was wrong because the sunglasses wouldn't arrive for some reason. We then called them and said "We got them in July and we've been waiting for almost 2 months now and the summer is coming to an end but we still haven't received any feedback from you. We bought those for summer but now they are pretty much useless and we don't have anytime to wear them". After reminding them the orders we placed, We realized that they didn't even question the laboratory for taking this long and clearly forgot about their customers and their fulfillment. After a few hours, They called us back and said that the laboratory has lost the glasses and was looking for them for days. Not only they made us wait for 2 months; They also lost the glasses and didn't realize the amount of time it took to prepare the orders and call the laboratory and say "We haven't heard back from you, Is everything okay with the orders?". Finally, We received 1 sunglasses with polarized + with prescription lenses and one without the change in lenses. They then refunded the money to us as a result of not finding the 3rd sunglasses. I wouldn't recommend Precision Eyecare to anyone because even though They are nice, They don't think about customers wants, fulfillment or happiness. (+ They don't know how Canada Life works).
