I went to Ford Castle Rock initially just to look at options and was able to test-drive a Bronco similar to what I wanted. Unfortunately, they could not locate the keys for the actual Bronco I was interested in, which had apparently arrived a day or two earlier. The keys were never located while I was there, so I ultimately looked at another vehicle and decided to purchase it. The purchase process moved very quickly, and I will acknowledge that some of that is on me. I told my salesperson that I needed to get back to work and was happy to sign something indicating my intent to purchase and return later to finish the paperwork. I was told that would be fine. Instead, finance rushed to get everything completed before I left. Looking back through the paperwork afterward, I was disappointed by the lack of transparency during the finance process. The extended service contract being added was not clearly explained, nor was I given a clear breakdown of the collective monthly cost of the additional products and how the maintenance plan and other add-ons were affecting my payment. Again, I take responsibility for signing the paperwork, but I also expect a dealership to clearly explain what is being added to a purchase--especially when thousands of dollars in additional products are involved. What really changed my opinion of the dealership, however, was what happened AFTER the sale. Once I got the vehicle home and had time to thoroughly review everything, I reached out multiple times to both finance and my salesperson with questions. Finance told me they would look into something and call me back. They never did. I called again and spoke with a receptionist/administrative employee who genuinely tried to help, but I ultimately spent approximately 55 minutes on hold before hanging up. She later emailed me and indicated that she had asked finance and others to contact me. Still, no one did. That is the most disappointing part of the experience. Salespeople understandably work hard to earn a sale, but customer service should not end the moment the paperwork is signed. It is incredibly frustrating to receive plenty of attention while deciding whether to spend tens of thousands of dollars and then struggle to get even a returned phone call once the purchase is complete. The Broncos are beautiful, and I am happy with the vehicle itself. Unfortunately, my experience with Ford Castle Rock left me feeling that making the sale was far more important than maintaining the customer relationship afterward. If you purchase here, I strongly recommend slowing the finance process down, asking for the exact price of every add-on, reviewing how each item affects your monthly payment, and making sure you fully understand everything before signing. I expected better follow-through and customer service from a Ford dealership and was genuinely disappointed.
