Furthermore, we also spent a small amount but left happy with lots of evening and breakfast leftovers. The only thing was the five spice was unfortunately a bit too salty. Really good Chinese food…read more While it isn't as good as the best ones in Los Angeles, this easily the most authentic one so far this week. Everything we ordered tasted good. Highly recommend to anyone who craves real Chinese food when visiting Jasper. Price is just a tad higher than I expected but I don't think any restaurant is cheap in this town.

This is probably one of the best places I have had the pleasure of eating steak and eggs at for…read morebreakfast. Had breakfast at this little restaurant for a week, while staying at the Best Western High Road Inn in Edson, AB. Firstly, this location is based in the BW High Road Inn. It's pretty casual and relaxed. I had breakfast vouchers from the BW, which gives you about 4-6 breakfast options you exchange your voucher for. Or if your willing to pay extra, there's an extended breakfast menu. Which still uses up your breakfast voucher, but gives you a lot more to choose from at a subsidize price. I honestly believe you get more food (which is pretty important, if you have an appetite quite like mine). The servers were always very kind, pleasant and respectful; the mornings can be a bit busy but they will always seat you promptly if they see you entering the restaurant. From there on, you have access to "all you can drink coffee" as you browse their menu offerings. I personally had the "Egg Breakfast" which composes of 2 eggs, a choice of 2 strips of bacon, 2 thin slices of ham, or 2 breakfast sausages, hash browns and 2 slices of toast. I love eggs, so I would always opt to add an additional 2 which will took me back $3. I switched it up each day; first day I had ham, which was very thin, but good. Just enough for your mind to realize it's having some other sort of protein. Second day had me going for the bacon, fairly thin cut bacon as well; but still good bacon. Third day I had the breakfast sausage, which I believe is probably the better option of the 3. They offer a bit more meat then the other two. Fourth day, I upgraded, decided to try the steak and eggs. Medium rare, with salt & pepper or steak spice whichever they had, 2(2) eggs, hash browns & whole-wheat toast w/ peanut butter (+ $3 for additional 2 eggs). The steak was so delicious, had me very thankful and appreciative of the fact that my medium rare steak was exactly as I requested. Can't take those little minuté details for granted, if the dining experience is important to you. Overall, I always felt welcomed and left well fed at this restaurant; make sure to check this location out if you happen to be in the Edson area.

The prices are all over the map. I dont like giving bad reviews but ordering chow mein and not getting noodles is like ordering a black coffee and having it come with liquid sugar. Things are what they are and if you are going to go rogue then you might deserve to lose customers. And what did come was like bad mall food. Worth 5 bucks a plate not 20.

Gave it a second try recently while visiting with the gf and still disappointed a second time. The taste of the food was underwhelming, half the bubble tea flavours were not available. 3 star rating was for the friendly staff that tried their best. Overall a nice experience but lacked in taste.

But recommendations by a few friends (and coworkers), and seeing how busy this place was during the lunch rush, put my hesitancy at ease. I went with a safe bet - pork and spring roll vermicelli bowl and it was a great choice! The meat was sweet yet savory and the spring rolls crispy (and meaty!) I would for sure come back here again the next time I'm in Edson.

*AVOID* ________ I…read morewould give it zero stars if I could! Food here was a rip off and just terrible. It was horrible, if I had known I wouldn't have spent my $55 for our Chinese food. I should have seen the tell-tale signs of #badnews when the person (woman) taking our order was texting as she was taking our order. She acted like we were bothering her, and this was 6pm on a week day . Then, we noticed that it is actually a Filipino place..not Chinese, but we asked if you can order Chinese food here and the lady said yes, in an exercebatted way. I felt guilty, but still have her a chance. We ordered won ton soup - it was made with spaghetti noodles in it :-/, beef and broccoli, which the beef was over cooked and the broccoli steamed ok but the sauce was just wrong. We ordered garlic fried rice (a change, they charge you $8.95 for, and it was basically steamed rice with a bit (say 7?) Peas and carrots. The sweet and sour chicken was cold, and felt like it was not fresh. The spring rolls looked nothing like the regular spring rolls. I was disappointed. Avoid this place, I think all of the ratings they have on here is fake, and I will notify Google as we came here thinking it was ok, and I sincerely want my money back. Shame on you for doing anything for a dollar, and lying to hard working people just to make a buck. This is wrong - say you make Filipino food do *NOT* say you make Chinese food and try to cross your fingers that we will not notice. Disappointed!!!!!!
