    shelves of chocolate and candy

You will receive a warm welcome when you arrive at this adorable shop. When you enter, you will be swept away with the chocolate aroma. The shelves are stocked with many delicious treats- and since they are gearing up for the Valentine's Day splurge, there is a lot to choose from. Unfortunately, the bonbon display was nearly empty when we arrived so we lacked the choices I was hoping for. We still took home a lovely box. My children enjoyed the chocolate covered Oreos too. I treated myself to a wonderful chocolate bar with orange. It had a name that I can't remember, but it was divine! It was $9.00 and worth every Penny. So for quite a few treats, it was around $65.00. Go in knowing you will spend good money BUT the chocolate and presentation is lovely.

The most delicious chocolate around and displayed beautifully. So many things to choose from. And love the Vermont nut free area. Check out this quaint store if you are in Newtown.

Erica is just so talented and her treats are just as delicious as they are beautiful, which is certainly a hard balance!

I am obsessed with Robeks in Newtown, CT!! Ive ordered ahead on their app two days in a row…read more I will start out with its a bit pricey a 22oz medium size smoothie is $8 plus. However, when You buy organic its more expensive. When you shop at Whole Foods & Trader Joe's vs Big Y and Shoprite its more expensive. You pay more for the health benefits. Day 1 I got a medium nuts about protein smoothie (which has active water, peanut butter, coffee, raw honey, cinnamon, multi vitamin, and non fat frozen yogurt). This shake also comes with whey because I excluded that Im not looking to be buff! All the ingredients are so fresh and I feel like a health nut drinking it. Except its absolutely delicious. Day 2 - I got the same smoothie in large but this time with peanut banana toast. My husband would never normally touch non crunchy peanut butter. But he tried my peanut butter toast and actually liked it! Using the app I was given several rewards for money off my first day I used my $3 off reward for using the app. Today I used the $2 off reward for my first order and I still have $1 left in rewards for a new rewards program they have. Between the protein and fruit smoothies, acai bowls, and toasts Im sure You'll find at least one thing you love.

The issue here is that there is normally only one person at the counter. To have four people in front of you is to wait 15 minutes for a drink. Nope. I have walked out twice because of this. It will likely alter my decision to go here in the future.

I ordered the pesto gnocchi and it was perfection. Super creamy and flavorful which was great for a cold winter day. I had a glass of their super tuscan which was great too!

My wife and I were at a distillery in Roxbury. We live in Danbury. I was looking for a quality food…read morespot in between and newtown came to mind. So, knowing that Sugo existed, I immediately routed us to their location, as this is a place that's been on my list of places to try. Short view? Everything started great. But did not follow through. The service was awesome. Our waitress, and forgive me as I cannot remember her name, was amazing. When we arrived we observed her interactions with her child and it automatically endeared her to us. And, as a server she was absolutely top notch. We understand from conversations, that she often works the bar. Either way she is awesome and the bright spot of our experience. The ambiance of the place was beautiful. Super refined looking, albeit with uncomfortable chairs at the tables. But I'm not looking for "comfort" per se, I'm looking for beauty. And this spot hits the mark. The we began ordering. Off the cocktail menu, I ordered their version of a pina colada and it was tasty af but definitely weak. My wife ordered a dirty martini with bleu cheese olives that she felt was weak. After those, we each ordered French martinis, that were super lacking in all flavor save for vodka. So strong, a bonus, but not good. As an app, we ordered their calamari which I order everywhere we go. This one lived up to the standard. Nice, big, meaty pieces of squid. A good breading, and a decent (if not underwhelming) sauce. I ordered their version carbonara as a main, and it was likewise, underwhelming. It was over buttered and over creamed. Which, if one knows anything about a traditional carbonara, it involves neither butter nor cream. I get that this is a gastropub and as such they will take liberty with ingredients and traditions; however, if I can make a better one at home... what's the point? My wife ordered the seafood grill which included branzino and shrimp. The branzino was delicious (but slightly over), but the shrimp stopped everything. The shrimp was rotten. On the plate it smelled like an unclean barn. I will say, we had to bring this issue to the attention of our server, and she kindly and appropriately comped our latter two drinks as a result. This made us happy as the drinks comped over the price of the plate, however, the smell is one that stays with us. Even at the time of this writing. We finished up our meal. I took home most of my carbonara as I felt confident I could make it taste good at home, but that's not the point of dining out. If and when I spend this type of money on food, I expect it to be right. This experience was not right. And if it weren't for the server, this review would be a 2 star.
