I was then planning on re-coating everything with spray enamel paint and clear coat to save on costs before regaining my sanity, throwing in the towel and deciding to seek the help of seasoned professionals. After doing the research I should have done before I started, I learned how much more durable and better looking the results would be with professional sandblasting and powder coating so I started looking for a service in my area. Thats how I found Capital Powder Coating, and boy oh boy am I glad I did. This was my first experience getting anything powder coated. Aside from being extremely professional, communicative and dedicated to their craft, Gary and Jenny are both very lovely, kind and helpful by nature. They were so friendly and patient answering any and all questions I had about the process. They explained everything in depth, helped guide me in deciding on color and finish and even went as far as working with me on great price. Jenny helped with the initial quote, kept me updated on everything with texts and was always quick to respond when I texted. Gary picked-up and delivered my items himself and helped carry everything to and from my back yard. It was instantly clear upon delivery that they put the time and care into stripping and coating my items as if they were their own. I'm thrilled with the results and the quality has exceeded my expectations. I cannot recommend Captial Powder Coating enough. They will forever be my first call as new projects come up!

STAY AWAY!!! Same thing happened to me. He used to do work for Total Offroad but not any more…read more Dropped off wheels on Friday was supposed to have the back Wednsedy. Thursday rolls around and they were horrible. Really bad orange peel and he did not strip them completely. Then clear sprayed with a what looked like a rattle can. They were drip runs and puddled areas with clear. At this point I wanted a refund. On the inbound inspection the manager and staff could not believe someone would deliver these not knowing they were beyond such poor quality. He wanted to fix them. There was no way I could put any trust in his ability in 24 hours when he had 4 days and delivered such garbage. They were so bad it would be like a surgeon that cut off the wrong leg saying he can fix it and letting him try again. They were that bad. He just didnt want to give the refund. On the phone he got mad, then it came out. He couldn't give a refund because he spent it all in the first 15 minutes I transfered funds. Then he laughed at us after saying this over the phone. At this point I was in the store with the salesman and manager of Total Offroad on speaker when he said this. I even offered for him to keep the wheels if he gave me a refund but he literally did not have the funds. Total Offroad sent a courrier to pick up the wheels and we intercepted them mid repair. This was when we realized how unqualified and unequipped he was. He was gonna scuff and powder coat over. It was so bad from the drip that while working on the high spots he dug into the metal. He doesn't have the capability to blast becuase he does this out of his house. So it looked like he used a hand orbital and just went to town on them. I'm out the $1k on the amateur work he spent before completion, and $1440 for the wheels. He also did not return the center caps. The sad part is there are quality coaters in town that would have done it for cheaper, with quality tooling, and experience. Not the back of their house. More importantly wirh professionalism to make it right or give you your money back.

Leaving this review because others need to see this and be able to leave reviews as well…read more It's tough using someone and having them consistently let you down in small ways. We all overlook it when we have a relationship with someone we feel for the most part we can trust. That leads me to the most recent job with Joe Wall. Hired to do a job and did it incorrectly. Didn't verify before powdering, and only told me when they were finished. I had several days I could not make it to pick the wheels up, and so I paid him ahead of time not seeing the job. Drive 45 minutes to his house to find my wheels dirty outside on the ground. They had been sitting out side his house in the dirt and rain for days. No wrap, no box, no ring protection regardless that I gave him new in box wheels. When I saw them and mentioned it his tone changes and he was like "it will wash off". That wasn't a big issue, and as stated above I decided to just grab them and go wash them myself. On my way back I called my girlfriend and told her about this. She said the same thing just bring them by and we will wash them together and I'll feel better. Got back home and showed her one of the wheels. She immediately picked out bubbles or bumps on the wheel. I had just driven 1 1/2 hours with Joe knowing that the wheel has obviously not be finished correctly... I lost it internally and drove back to his house. When I got there I put the wheels back where I found them and texted him. His response was why aren't they finished and I told him. He said he would get it fixed (but internally I was so upset with prior issues, deadlines, these wheels not even being correct to match the other two, and my driving with him leaving them out that I told him I just wanted to move on). So I went and picked up the wheels. All I wanted was to get the sick feeling gone and to get the exact colors he used to replicate the wheels elsewhere. I didn't ask for refund (250/wheel). I just wanted to move on. After telling him this he got short and cut me off. Two days later he sent me the most basic Satin Black | Satin Bronze | Jeep White. To me that was insufficient. I had no brand or color codes. I asked him again and after two days of asking and no response I got upset, but I was just going to rip it all off (all the parts he had done prior) and redo them. My appointment was scheduled for 4/20 with the new powder person. I started to load everything up and noticed actual damage to one of the wheels. At this point there was more than clear negligence and that's a deal breaker for me. I posted the experience in the Jeep Community Groups. A no remorse or ownership response. Just a child arguing everything with excuses but his workmanship. Flat out lying and dodging the issue. Joe has no Google Business Page. There are no review sites other than an Angie's List review. So this is being left here so that others can leave reviews as well. I've given Joe around 4k in work just from my two Jeeps. I regret going this far with him as I will now pay another 2k to redo one Jeep. Constant small communication errors kept my costs going up. I ate those costs because I felt they were honest mistakes, but looking back at the pattern I believe these could have been intentional to just keep money flowing. I can't say that for sure, but it's a definite pattern, and that coupled with deadlines missed and the responses I've gotten leave me with no confidence left that if he were to continue my work that I would not get my Jeep done correctly, or in a timely manner, and not at a cost I can continue to afford. Beware... keep all communication over text and email. Do not pay until you 100% see the work in person and it is 100% perfect. The Angie's List poster had a very similar experience to mine and even had figured out when they had an issue and Joe supposedly fixed it that it was repowdered over the existing causing it to having problems. That was apparently on top of the prior issues and some sort of pickup issue. I hope this review is upvoted by others that have had similar issues and have had no way to warn others.
