I have a 2008 Prius and my catalytic converter was stolen. Finally got my car back from another Auto Body shop that my insurance sent me to... and I did ask that shop if they would install a Cat-Shield after they installed the new Catalytic converter, but they don't do that service. So, I bought a Cat-Shield on-line and, I Googled and called a bunch of mechanics around the east bay to install it. And, majority of mechanics, either don't do Cat-Shield installation or they charge way too much for labor. I heard that Castle Auto Body did Cat-Shield installation for a fair price on a Facebook forum.. When I called Castle Auto Body, I got their voice-mail a few times. But, an hour later I got a call back and I made an appointment. Went in the next morning and they installed my Cat-Shield for less that $80... they said they do the service, because they don't like thieves and they want to help people prevent their catalytic converters from getting stolen. And they did a great job too!!! Definitely recommend this place!!! read more

On my arrival in San Francisco, I had a fender-bender with another car in the Berkeley area. Although minor, this first accident in my life, in the USA no less, created a moment of stress. Proactively, I looked for a garage that could help me resolve the situation. I came across Gena and her son Tomas, who referred me to one of their good acquaintances, Valerio. His garage is located in Pittsburgh. After speaking with him, I quickly made my way there. What a welcome! And what kindness. I felt like I was meeting an uncle who immediately put you at ease. He explained everything to me. The repairs. How it works with insurance and rental companies. He offered to fix the front end for me the next morning. The price was $500 all inclusive. The average for this job is between $300 and $500. Honestly, he did it in an afternoon. He even repaired other minor scratches on the bumper. He let me sleep on his site for the night and I was able to refill my water tank. The work was perfect. I recommend Valerio's place without hesitation. This body shop is the worst. My mother brought our car to Valerio and it took weeks until he finally touched the car. My mother had to complain until he finally got to it. We had a hit and run and we unfortunately didn't have insurance at the time so we are paying out of pocket. You would assume a good body shop would give a better or more accurate estimate of the cost. There is so much he didn't include! At this point the cost to fix the car is way more then how much the car is worth. We don't know where we are going to get the money to pay for the additional costs. Our church was kind enough to give us money to help pay. This doesn't feel like good business. read more

Valerio is an auto body wizard for his mastery & professionalism -- and well worth the 2 hr drive to get to. While I hope not to be a frequent dent card carrying member for his services, I can pretty much expect that will happen because let's face it: I am an aging, half-Asian female. Therefore, I'm guaranteed to hit a few more poles than your average driver and as such have been to Castle Auto Body (CAB) four times. The first caved-in front bumper ding was out-of-pocket because I was too embarrassed to call my insurance (again). I had picked CAB out of the phone book after I gathered quotes in South City & San Bruno that were clearly attempting to take advantage of me. Fortunately, Valerio's price & expediency outweighed the deductible + potential premium increase + pissed off hubby. Second ding was my son's first accident so I had him gather three quotes for our insurer: (1) in Berkeley $2200 with 1-wk turnaround; (2) in SF $2900+ with 10-day turnaround; and (3) CAB $1600 with 4-day turnaround. CAB delivered as promised in terms of timeliness, no aftermarket parts, and seamless, matching coats of paint. What makes the experience all that more valuable for me is that Valerio and his daughter, whom runs the office, are friendly & honest as a true family business should be. Additionally, I know Valerio is known for his superb custom motorcycle paint jobs (a 'go to' guy for Harley dealership) as well does engine work (like V12s!) at a fraction of the cost. read more

Can't be thankful enough for this sir. My car is my everything, it was my mom's until she passed a year and a half ago. Recently I was parking her in are garage when I pulled in to close and scraped her right front bumper against a table. I felt horrible, this is the first major boo boo I've ever done and I got the paint pretty good and a decent dent. After going to autobody shop after autobody shop. I came across them and decided to give it a try. Valerio was very nice and polite. He gave me what I felt was a fair price, after being quoted 500 by others which I felt was unreasonable. Now my biggest concern was my paint, she has very rare paint with a special coating I was afraid would be hard to match, but after a few minutes of talking with Valerio I felt he could do it. When I picked her up she was outside waiting for me and when I saw her, I was estatic to see how fantastic she looked. Thrilled that it was flawless you can't tell what I did. I'm looking forward to using him in the future for other small damages to my car. Can't wait read more

A few days later I dropped my car off to be repaired. When I picked my car up all I could do was smile. My car looked like I had never been in a car accident.
