I always thought I had to go with one of the shops my insurance gave me for them to cover the repairs. I ended up finding Oakley Collision almost by accident, and their quote was surprisingly lower AND they helped me with a discount on my deductible. But honestly, the way they treated me is what made me want to leave this review. Jennifer was so sweet and genuinely cared about making sure I was taken care of. Mario patiently answered my million questions and explained everything without ever making me feel rushed or pressured. They were just kind, honest, and empathetic people during an already stressful situation. They even got my car done earlier than expected. I'm definitely recommending them to my friends and family. If you're ever in an accident, just know you have options. Don't automatically settle for the first shop your insurance gives you. Shop around, but definitely check Oakley Collision first. The first time, I brought a vehicle in for repairs that included replacing a headlight. I had to return to the shop twice because the replacement headlights were of very poor quality and kept allowing water and moisture inside. Even after they were replaced, the problem was not properly resolved. The wheel was also repaired and painted, but the color was noticeably different from the other wheels. Unfortunately, I decided to give your shop another chance and recently brought in a different vehicle for repairs. Once again, I experienced problems with the quality of the work. The repaired wheel was painted a completely different color from the other wheels, making the difference very noticeable. In addition, the bumper that was painted is already peeling after only a few days. After having quality issues with two different vehicles, I am extremely disappointed. These are not minor details. When a customer pays for professional repairs, the reasonable expectation is that the work will be done correctly, with good-quality materials and proper attention to detail. Based on my experiences, I cannot consider the workmanship I received to be professional or acceptable. I have already had to deal with repeated problems, return visits, mismatched paint, poor-quality replacement parts, and now paint peeling only days after the repair. I would like your shop to take responsibility for these issues and provide an appropriate solution to correct the work properly.

I was a little worries since the car is a BMW Individual color (special pearls and metallic in the paint). They gave me an estimate to have the fender worked, painted, and blended into the door to minimize any obvious appearance of color difference...typical paint strategy for those who are familiar. I scheduled a day to drop the car that worked for me and they took it in right away and got to work. I had my car back in a week and it was color matched PERFECTLY. I was honestly impressed. The work was done right, promptly, and with care. They definitely earned a customer for life with me. If ypu have insurance work, custom work, or just need to fix up some scratches/chips like I did...you won't regret taking your car to Alex and the folks at West Coast.

I used Yelp for a few businesses on repair estimates for my dented front bumper cover on my Rav4…read more Did you know that the car's frame is mostly steel or aluminum to protect drivers and passengers, sensors, electronics, etc. but in most cases the outside cover is bendable plastic for aerodynamic reasons? The bad news is that plastic deforms too much from a collision, you can't just massage it back to shape with a hair dryer. Also, who knows if anything else on the car behind the plastic is damaged or out of alignment. California Collision came to the rescue and was able to replace my bumper cover, have it painted, and then recalibration done for the various car sensors to eliminate fault codes. Even minor collisions can cause sensors to be faulty, so don't assume it's a cosmetic thing and try to cut corners and get your vehicle repaired properly. The job took a few hours one day to paint match, then a separate full day to install, recalibrate, and test drive the vehicle to ensure bo more fault codes. George was extremely friendly and transparent with the repair process. He even gave me a tour of his shop and explained the workflow. Its a family business as his son and daughter also work here. He obviously values work-life balance and is closed Friday-Sunday. Body Shops are not cheap but if you need a thorough repair and want things done right, I highly recommend California Collision. If paying out of pocket, use a debit card with a high spend limit to avoid credit card fees.
