How can I begin to describe the most wonderful place on earth, if you ever hear God's country they are talking about Sitka. Cast Alaska Charters & Lodge is the place to be, from walking in and being taking care of by Mikey, Kenzie, and John who run the everyday lodge activities, Kristen, and Janet getting that amazing food together for your crew. And then you get to meet your fishing guides and their deck hands who put us on fish everyday we were there. I can't explain in words how happy I was with the experience I had in the most epic trip of my life. Thank you so much for the amazing time!! I hope this review helps anyone trying to make a decision on who to book with in Sitka. Bob

Ive fished with this amazing charter for going on 4 yrs now and everyone is amazing from the owner's to the deckhands. They are knowledgeable In their craft and make the whole trip an experience you will never forget from the time they pick you up from the airport it's like you are part of the family and it is non stop fun. The fishing is just a bonus. Cant wait to get out and see the crew in may.

This charter company isn't the run of the mill type of business. It's a boutique charter company that prides itself in customer service. From the moment you step off the plane in Sitka until the day you leave, you are treated with the best customer service imaginable. The Captains at AU are all seasoned Captains. Each fishing group is assigned a hostess to make sure your needs are met. You have a car to use to sightsee, shop or go to dinner after a full day of fishing. The rooms have kitchens and porches have BBQ'S. There's not much, if anything, that they don't provide for you. I can't guarantee that you will catch your limit of fish each day but I can guarantee a great experience...

I was transported to the hospital emergency room. I passed out at the airport, therefore I did not make the trip. I was diagnosed with Atrial Fibrillation. This would have been my 9th trip with Angling Unlimited. I have been a loyal returning customer. When I called to see if I could get a credit towards next year I was told that "it is not,our policy". There are exceptions to every policy made. I feel like I've been loyal to them for eight plus years and they would not bend their policy to help me out! If they would have offered a 50% credit, I would have been happy with that. I am so disappointed in their response. I was told that because there was only 3 fishermen on our boat that they couldn't do anything for me, but I know within our group, which had a total of three boats that one of the boats had only 3 fishermen on it. A small company should be able to "bend" their policy for a returning loyal customer. Rick Granzella

Our captain Nate must be related to Aquaman - he has an uncanny ability to know how long to fish one spot before trying another. First mate Malachi kept all lines untangled, all hooks baited, and made sure our fish were cleaned/filleted beyond restaurant quality. Back ashore, Kristi and her staff kept our bellies full with just-right family comfort food, and clean, quiet 4-start equiv hotel level accommodations for rest. Would def go again! Pro tip: Bring a seasick patch (Scopolamine). I'm normally sea-sensitive, but between the patch and Nate's boatmanship, I had no problems whatsoever.

The staff at the inn was friendly and accommodating from the very start it seemed that there was nothing they wouldn't do to make our stay enjoyable. Our lodging was more than comfortable with the added bonus of a fantastic view that gets even better when the sun sets. Our hosts, Rich and Karen Kraft, are the nicest couple that take the time to get to know you and make sure there isn't more they can do for you. Courtney and Cameron assists you in the day to day things like shuttling you to the boat and the market if needed. Christie is the awesome chef that provides you with delicious breakfasts and gourmet dinners. Her desserts are to die for, the cheesecake with raspberry sauce being my favorite. She even bakes cookies and crumbles for you to eat on the boat. The fishing turned out to be catching on our trip. Captain Tyler, who is the Kraft's son, is second to none in Sitka. I truly believe we boated more fish in the four days of fishing than any other charter. He expertly put us on the fish every day even when the conditions were rough, and the conditions were pretty rough the last two days. We even limited out on silvers (36) and halibut (6) on the second day by 1:00. We all went home with 92 pounds of salmon and halibut filets. Then there is Caleb our deckhand. Caleb does everything from baiting lines to netting fish to cleaning the catch and making awesome sandwiches made to order. We are very grateful to meet such a fine hardworking young man. I highly recommend this family run Inn/charter to everyone. You absolutely cannot go wrong and you will have an enjoyable experience.

It was a life dream to fish out of a great lodge in Alaska, which is now fulfilled. Scott, (part owner), Robbie(captain and chef extraordinaire), and Dayton(my captain) and Giuseppe(my mate) were on site and were completely competent and professional, and enabled me to have a fantastic and memorable experience once again. The lodge is rustic and beautiful, and is situated in a pristine setting on an island just across the bay from Sitka, accessible only by boat. We had great fishing every day, and I returned with a box of delectable fillets of a variety of fish that will last me until next year's trip. The meals were delicious, capped off by our last dinner of panko-crusted halibut tacos that were next-level. I traveled alone, and fished and enjoyed the company of great new friends from Washington and Hawaii. My trip and stay could not have been more enjoyable and satisfying. Great friends and camaraderie, spectacular scenery, wonderfully productive fishing....just a top-of-the-line experience. Just exactly what I was hoping for.

Again, charged without any communication of these fees. Group of 2 treated considerably different than group of 12 on the trip. If you do not go fishing and stay at the lodge you will not be provided with lunch (and have no way to get food otherwise). The large group (a few people that stayed also) was provided lunch after group of 2 was told they would not get lunch because they stayed at the lodge instead of fishing that day. Also told new group was coming in early and we would have to be relocated to a hotel before our trip was over. This was very upsetting. As we paid for the entire stay prior to arrival. Paid over 3k per person, airfare and tip to boat captain, will not support this business again.

He wasn't available so he set us up with Captain Aedon and deckhand brother Zander. Aedon picked us up on time with a smile and wonderful spirit. We also caught a large Lingcod and a couple others smaller ones. Captain Aedon and Zander were both open to share so much information about their fishing techniques and the Sitka culture. Amanda from Sitka Point Lodge was excellent as well. She contacted us the day of the charter to get copies of our fishing licenses so she could print them and give them to Captain Aedon with our delicious Sandwiches. Chips, and cookies. After our trip, Amanda communicated with me to organize the least expensive way to deliver our catch and a couple extras.
