Great time for the whole family! We were able to gather up enough relatives for a party of six, enabling us to have a whole boat to ourselves. Our captain Nate must be related to Aquaman - he has an uncanny ability to know how long to fish one spot before trying another. First mate Malachi kept all lines untangled, all hooks baited, and made sure our fish were cleaned/filleted beyond restaurant quality. Back ashore, Kristi and her staff kept our bellies full with just-right family comfort food, and clean, quiet 4-start equiv hotel level accommodations for rest. Would def go again! Pro tip: Bring a seasick patch (Scopolamine). I'm normally sea-sensitive, but between the patch and Nate's boatmanship, I had no problems whatsoever. read more

Five solid stars! This trip to Sitka and the Cascade Creek Inn exceeded all my expectations. We had a group of six friends, four from Hawaii and two from Sacramento, and we met in Sitka for what turned out to be an epic fishing adventure. The staff at the inn was friendly and accommodating from the very start it seemed that there was nothing they wouldn't do to make our stay enjoyable. Our lodging was more than comfortable with the added bonus of a fantastic view that gets even better when the sun sets. Our hosts, Rich and Karen Kraft, are the nicest couple that take the time to get to know you and make sure there isn't more they can do for you. Courtney and Cameron assists you in the day to day things like shuttling you to the boat and the market if needed. Christie is the awesome chef that provides you with delicious breakfasts and gourmet dinners. Her desserts are to die for, the cheesecake with raspberry sauce being my favorite. She even bakes cookies and crumbles for you to eat on the boat. The fishing turned out to be catching on our trip. Captain Tyler, who is the Kraft's son, is second to none in Sitka. I truly believe we boated more fish in the four days of fishing than any other charter. He expertly put us on the fish every day even when the conditions were rough, and the conditions were pretty rough the last two days. We even limited out on silvers (36) and halibut (6) on the second day by 1:00. We all went home with 92 pounds of salmon and halibut filets. Then there is Caleb our deckhand. Caleb does everything from baiting lines to netting fish to cleaning the catch and making awesome sandwiches made to order. We are very grateful to meet such a fine hardworking young man. We just spent 4 days at Cascade Creek with our family of 4. We stayed in the B&B suite, did 2 days of fishing and explored Sitka. Overall a wonderful place to stay. The host family (Rich and Karen) is wonderful with great local knowledge. The fishing was AMAZING. We spent 2 days (they are FULL days) out fishing for salmon and halibut. We went with Captain Tyler (son of the owners). He and his deckhand were great guides for our family of intermediate fisherpeople. We caught lots of Coho and our limit of halibut, and a few other species we could keep. Unfortunately king season had closed. We did catch and release a king, a 12-foot blue shark. The accommodations were spotless, modern, comfortable with a great view. I could see staying here longer and doing more activities in Sitka -- especially longer sea kayaking and hiking. The food was excellent. Hearty breakfast before fishing, good appetizer and hearty home cooking for dinner. A great family-owned business that involves several generations! read more

My husband and I took our first trip to Sitka in May 2021 to fish for king salmon and halibut. After many hours of research we chose to stay at Cascade Creek since it is a smaller lodge, is right on the water, has nice rooms and provides delicious meals. We are so glad we stayed at Cascade Creek! We caught our limits on king salmon and halibut each day (plus black rockfish). The owners of the lodge were very welcoming and accommodating, and the captain and deckhand on our fishing boat were great; they found the fish and were great at helping us land them on to the boat. The breakfasts and dinners at the lodge each day were very good, and it was nice to enjoy our meals overlooking the water and talking about our day on the water with the other guests. All of the other guests at the lodge were nice, friendly, and we enjoyed meeting people from all over the country. The lodge is in a great location, in walking distance to the grocery store and liquor store; it's actually a very beautiful walk along the water the entire time. The staff at the lodge were so helpful and gave us rides to and from town when needed, although we never had to leave on the days we fished since the lodge provided everything. We were very happy with our trip and are already planning on coming back to Cascade Creek in 2023! read more

Our stay at CCL was fantastic. There are several things that sets this lodge apart from the previous lodge we stayed at in Sitka. Main Lodge: Just beautiful and the location couldn't be better. It's very spacious and has many comfy couches and recliners if you just want to kick up your feet and relax. There are windows in the dining area where you can enjoy the ocean views while dining. You will not find a buffet line crammed with many anglers at this lodge. Kristi prepares delicious meals and you will be served your meals. Her desserts and sourdough bread were amazing. I tried convincing her to sell me a loaf of her sourdough bread to take home but to no avail. Lol! Will wash dishes for Kristi's bread! Lol! This lodge is very intimate and carries a maximum of 18 anglers. Rooms: All rooms are oceanfront with a deck. Listening to the crashing waves and taking in Alaska's crisp air provided a very peaceful and restful stay. Slept well. I was a non-angler so I had to purchase my own lunch which was perfectly fine with me because I love going into town while my husband is out fishing. I come here to decompress from the busy lifestyle back home. There is a great nearby grocery/liquor store within walking distance that serves hot meals and has a deli. Kristi and staff will be more than happy to transport you to/from the downtown area. Kristi has the perfect demeanor. She is so kind and sweet. She was always available to answer any questions I had. Since it was our first time at the lodge, we didn't know what to expect or how things operated at this lodge. She was never hurried or stressed, and never once did we feel we were surrounded by chaos. According to my husband, he had a blast fishing with Nathan and deckhand Hunter. Both were outstanding personally and professionally. He was fortunate to have fished with a great group. The fish processor that CCL uses is great. The fish arrived frozen and was beautifully packaged and individually marked. I highly recommend this lodge to anyone looking for an overall great experience. This lodge did not disappoint. Cascade Lodge and Fishing Charter is magnificent. From the moment Courtney pick us up at the airport to the drop off with our fish waiting for us was excellent. Dr. Richard personally took his time to be with us and showed us around the top parks and rivers and let us experience fly fishing. He is one of the kindest, good hearted person I have ever met and that also goes for the entire family. The fishing was amazing. I caught King Salmon and many fish. The boat is new and Captain Tyler is an amazing Captain that knows where the fish are. I am so happy and had such a wonderful experience in Sitka with my son and grand son. Cascade Lodge is the best Alaskan lodge in Sitka. The lodge is perfectly situated on the bay with magnificent views. The lodge is brand new and clean and the rooms are extremely nice and comfortable. I came with my father and son and the entire staff was so welcoming and accommodating. They really went out of their way to show us Sitka and even try fly fishing. The fishing was excellent. Brand new custom fishing boat designed for the best Alaska fishing. The 2 captain are the owners son that run the boats and they know everything about Alaska fishing. We caught Kings, Silver, Halibut, Rock Fish and they were biting all day long. This is a family run business and I can honestly say I have never met finer people than the entire Kraft family. We had a great time at Cascade Creek. Three days of fishing with limits on kings and halibut with extras of rockfish and silvers. Also got one lingcod that fit into the narrow size slots allowed for non-residents to keep. Great and friendly service by the entire staff with wonderful meals and especially desserts. Using cascade inn and charters was the best decision my family and I have ever made! The service and hospitality was amazing and everyone is very kind and generous. Richard and Karen, the owners, were some of the nicest people we have ever met. They worked so hard in keeping us happy and made us feel at home. The fishing charter was super awesome.. Tyler the captain brought us to a great location where we caught So much fish (king/silver salmon, halibut, rockfish). The boat was brand new and super clean. Everyone working at the lodge really went out of their way for us. The rooms are beautiful and have a great view of the water. This new lodge is the perfect place to stay at in Sitka. Myself and 5 coworkers were lucky enough to pick the right lodge for our end of June 2019 fishing trip. This place is owned and run by an incredible family that really cares about making sure that you have a great time. We fished for 3 days with Captain Tyler and Kaleb was the deck hand. These 2 guys are incredible. We had a blast fishing with them. They are as good a team as you will find and know how and where to put you on the fish. We absolutely killed it and went home with a variety fish weighing in at 50lbs for each of us (300lbs total for the 6 of us ). Besides the awesome fishing with these guys, we laughed our asses off the entire time. Then came lunch time... Kaleb makes the best sandwiches we've ever had. They got better every day. They were huge and tasty! After fishing all day, Richard ( the owner of the lodge ) would hang out with us telling great fishing stories while we waited for the most incredible dinners every night that his daughter in law would make for us. She needs to open a high end restaurant. We ate like kings every night. This entire family is nothing short of a class act!
