Advertised as "luxury" apartment, but builders cut corners.
Pros: Location is awesome. Walk to work in River North or the Loop, walk to West Loop and all the shopping and restaurant, walk to the river. Right across from East Bank Club, where residents get a discount on the initiation fee. Amenities are also awesome. The pool gets sunshine all day, there's a sauna, tons of shared space for parties or remote work, gym is very large and obviously brand new. Reception and maintenance staff also gets a shout-out, they are super friendly and helpful, 24/7.
Cons: Finishes are not "luxury"; floors, counters, cabinets are all plastic / polymers and builders finished in such a hurry that doors don't close properly, baseboards fall off (my unit and another). Appliances are so CHEAP, the dishwasher probably cost $250 and I have to slam it to close it. Stove is electric GE. Closets have wire racks, not finished. They offered for residents to pay for Closets by Design. I guess you can keep the "closet" when you move out, but to do what with? read more
