I shared some of my palmier with him and he seemed to appreciate it. I don't think this was his first. After my espresso I went back and found some wonderful souvenirs including t-shirts, hoodies, jackets and there were so many home items that I wanted but knew they wouldn't fit in my suitcase. However, I also bought a wonderful children's book "Dorianne and Edgar save Noel on the Island of Orleans" by local author Martine Patoine and it is delightful. I didn't realize I had a problem with the copy and luckily I was parked right next to the author and her husband and adorable dog gave me a perfect brand new one from their car . How lucky!
