The owner is REALLY as good as everybody says. Super helpful! The cost for my self service load was 15-17 pounds total. Washing machines are a little small so one big load is actually two small or medium loads. The dryers are huge and will take both medium sized loads for only one dryer cycle. Lots of different food and drink choices on the same block of a charming London road...typical fish n chips pub, fancy coffee house, outdoor Italian place, Indian, Thai, etc. I was in and out in less than 2 hours. So if you want to save a bunch of money, OR--more importantly--if you want to get away from your family after a week of playing tourist...this is definitely your place. I went on a Wednesday early afternoon 1:30-3:00p, FYI.

Especially when you're travelling in the winter for a week... laundry is a good option if you need to pack light. I was staying at the Crowne Plaza Kensington, which was only a 5 minute walk away, and found this place suited my needs. Prices were OK, between wash and dry I think I spent about 9 pounds 1 suitcase. 6 pounds for the wash and 3 pounds for 30 minutes of washing (prices are on my photos). They have different size washers with different pricing - make sure to read through the instructions, especially on where to pour the detergent. Definitely recommend looking at the options before pouring your detergent in the bin, because it varies. Luckily it didn't seem to matter too much, and my stuff got washed. One pound coins only - if the attendant is there they can exchange bills for them. They sell detergent here if you don't bring your own - it's through a vending machine that takes one pound coins. Otherwise there's a Sainsbury literally around the corner that you can buy detergent and other items. They offer wash services for loads of laundry... I posted the prices in one of my photos. Turnaround time they said would be the following day - will definitely try it out next time.

There are two kinds of washing machines, £5 for medium load and £9 for heavy load. These take 1£ and 50p coins. It seems expensive for someone who just moved from the U.S., but is it normal for London? There are also 6 dryers, each takes 1£ and 50p coins... it was 50p for every 6 minutes or £1 for every 12minutes.
