The pizza tasted great, with plenty of tasty cheese, a good number of toppings, a flavorful marinara sauce and a perfectly baked, crunchy, chewy crust. The takeout area was small and extremely basic with white walls, a takeout counter and a table with packages of crushed red peppers, parmesan cheese and takeout menus. I also noticed one TV (off). There were no views of the kitchen and no seating. Overall, I'm going with four stars for the delicious pizza at a great price, but the takeout experience could use improvement.

They have also added various pizza recipes and new menu items that they didn't have back then. There aren't many free standing restaurants still around, but there are a few and some even inside gas stations so you should go while the gettin' is good (ie:while they're still around). The service was great and the ambiance was peaceful. I had the restaurant all to myself for a short while. There are so many great pizzerias in my town, but Godfather's awakened nostalgia in me and was reminiscent of wonderful, youthful days gone by. I have such fond memories of fun, fun and more fun at this place. I think I've decided to make Godfather's a recurring part of my life and create new, lasting memories with family.

Once I got to my family's, I was so excited to dig in but I was so disappointed when I didn't see any arugula on my pizza. I called to see what happened. I was so sad to learn that the Independence location does not put arugula on their pizza. My pizza was still good but it was not good as I could have been. I now know for next time that I need to go to another location if I want arugula.
