The interior is cute with a country vibe and string lights in the center seating area. I had the pork tenderloin breakfast with over medium eggs, home fries, and a biscuit and a side of sausage. My husband had the same with hash-browns and sourdough and a side of bacon. Alex had pancakes, scrabbled eggs and bacon. The eggs were cooked well and the potatoes had a nice crisp and season to them. The biscuit was big and fluffy. I didn't get to finish that half of my meal after finding a hair on my plate. I switched to the sausage and the gravy covered tenderloin. This was the biggest I have seen. The flavor was alright, not really seasoned so it fell flat for us. The gravy was bland like it was from a can. Alex's pancakes were a bit tough as though they were over mixed. I'm not sure we would make the drive to try anything else is was just okay.

There were a handful of older men seated alone (likely travelers off I-70). We stood at the front waiting and waiting to be seated. The people in the kitchen looked at us but never came to greet us. A lady busing tables and wiping tables also looked at us but also never greeted us. Finally the lady who was busing tables came and sat us. Getting waters we asked for took forever. Taking our order then took forever. One of the men seated at the booth behind us had to take his cup up and ask for more coffee. We almost had to do the same with water. My photos show a 90% empty cafe but after she cleared tables, she rolled the cart right next to our booth and throughout cleaned plates off in it while we were eating. There were a million other places she could've parked that mobile cart and how she couldn't see people wouldn't want to hear her clean plates or clanging dishes... They would've been screwed if that place had been busy. I'd never return.

No "welcome" just "what do you need". We thought based on online reviews (and no website for restaurant only for golf course) that it was a restaurant with a menu. It is NOT. there is only a small cafe menu with sandwiches and bagged chips, canned sodas. She said "if you saw a pork tenderloin online we dont do that for two years and we cant get it off the internet". when i said "well the golf course has no section on the website for 'golf hill grille' at all so maybe they could start there" she rolled her eyes as if my very common sense suggestion was insulting. But i just said it. i wasnt trying to be rude. Just making a very obvious suggestion that would solve the issue. She then said "we just have some sandwiches but its really for the players so do you want something?" We took our family of 4 elsewhere to eat. Cant recommend.
