Once we were checked in, they had us pull our truck around to wait for a tech to have us pull our truck in the bay. There is a small waiting area inside where we waited while the work was done. We were there a couple of hours. It's a bit of a walk on a hot day if you want to go up to the main building, so we stayed put. It took a couple of hours and we were on our way. Good service. Good price compared to going to a dealer.

This TA plaza was the 1st stop in Missouri east bound on I-70. Attached to the travel center are a Popeye's and an IHOP. We stopped specifically because we saw that there was a Popeye's. It was late (after 8p) on Sunday night of the 4th of July weekend. Consequently, they were sold out of a few things and the guy at the counter kept apologizing for a somewhat limited selection. He was a very enthusiastic employee and was trying hard to be helpful. We found items suitable for diner (chicken strips for me and popcorn shrimp for the wife). All in all, it was a good meal despite several "out of stock" items. The good service and the clerk's positive attitude made up for the limited menu.

We were able to fill our gas tanks at a very reasonable cost, and there were plenty of pumps so there was no waiting. We REALLY appreciate the dog park! It was simply wonderful to have a fenced-in area where we could let the dogs out for a little while to stretch their legs and take care of business. (We are not happy about other patrons who left their dog waste behind and didn't pick it up. What a shame that they took advantage of Love's hospitality and didn't clean up after their pets!) There were plenty of amenities for travelers in addition to gasoline for the cars. The convenience store had a wide variety of packaged and from-the-counter food and drink as well as road supplies. The bathrooms were clean and spacious and clearly well-maintained. We have stopped at other Love's facilities, and this is very much their standard. We can imagine that long-distance truck drivers appreciate the clean and well-managed environs. But even on our short trip, it was a pleasure to pause at such a pleasant place. Very clean and well stocked with a lot of extras. It has a full kitchen with breakfast lunch and dinner items. They even have barbecue that's definitely not the worst I ever ate. Fried chicken tacos and the gamut of tried appetizers. Even some decent looking salads. They also have fresh baked goods cookies, banana bread, candies like peanut brittle and chocolate. Don't get me wrong this isn't gourmet food but were talking much better than you would think. The usual stuff rounds out the convenience store experience, liquor, bread, ice and fountain drinks. If your stopping on the way to the lake you could pick up some last minute items and get some gas. Very clean store and nice people.

Since there is no cvs or Walgreens in walking distance to the rail I thought it was convenient overall! It had everything I needed and things I didn't even know I wanted until I saw it.
