After our heart-searching adventure, we decided it was time to eat before heading home. Tim and I…read morehave eaten here multiple times and suggested it to Teressa, who seemed to think it was a good choice. The cheese dip, chips, and salsa were a great start to our meal. We reviewed the menu and made our selections. Both of us chose Flautas Crujientes: crispy flour corn rolls stuffed with chicken or beef, topped with cabbage, guacamole, pico de gallo, sour cream, and queso fresco, served with rice and beans. I opted for chicken, while Teressa chose beef. We ended our visit with sopapillas. Yum The service was great, the restaurant was not too crowded, and the food is always amazing. If you are in the Oak Grove, Missouri area, I recommend stopping by 709 S. Broadway. The hours of operation are Monday through Thursday from 11 AM to 9:30 PM, Friday and Saturday from 11 AM to 10 PM, and Sunday from 11 AM to 9 PM.

The waitress was friendly and kind, efficient and had suggestions ready when I wasn't sure what kind of meat I wanted on my torta. She recommended asada and I was super happy to choose that. I love recommendations from staff, as I am zero percent picky and really want what they deem the "best" they offer. Our meals were hot, tasty and my girls LOVED the rice and beans. If we're hungry in the area, we'll come back for sure. Apparently they're rebranding, so stop in and give them a try if you haven't in a while! To be honest, my torta was incredible. Full of flavor and the bread was sooooo pillowy soft.

I say with confidence that it is back to being a good Mexican choice again. The inside could use a facelift but part of me likes the older restaurant vibes with them. The chips, salsa, and queso are really good. I got the Lo Bueno, the San Jose sauce on it is really good, has a chipotle smokey taste. The taco and rice were also really good. The cheese quesadilla was... well a cheese quesadilla, but there enough stuff on the plates to doctor that up lol. We also got the Quesadilla Jalisco, it has loaded up and shrimp were cooked perfectly.
