I haven't been here before but I stopped here to look for an alcoholic beverage for myself. This store does not have anything convenient here, it's 90% alcohol. They got some good stuff. A lot of it is stuff that I really do not care about at all and they even got top shelf liquor too. The staff here is friendly but overall I would have expected more from a liquor store. There's a few gas pumps here too. Maybe I should have went to Casey's to see what they had offered to compete. read more

While traveling I don't like to feel like I've gotten off on an exit straight into the twilight zone. 1.) not a sparkling clean bathroom. Not a dump, but the store gave off a grimy feel. 2.) looked like plenty, but I didn't peruse the place cuz it felt grimy (see above) 3.) Approaching from eastbound I-70, not the quickest alternative. Took about 5 minutes from exit with slow cars and lights. When ya gotta use the facilities, this is unfortunate! Parking lot/gas station crowded. 4.) I got a friendly good-bye as I walked out. Choose a rest stop more out of the city if you can!

This is the slowest pump in all of America. In the now seven minutes I've been pumping it's only pumped 3 gallons. I appreciate that this is a convenient gas station for me, but this is a bit insane. The other thing I really dislike are the loud videos that play from the pump while you are gassing up. Not the best ambiance IMO and no way to turn it off. Anyways I might be back if I am in dire need of gas but I'll probably stick to quik trip or hy vee.

The manager and his staff are the friendliest I've ever come across. Overall, it's a great place to stop for a fresh beverage and a nice conversation!

Coming from Hyde Park we're getting near the highway when out of nowhere we see a Bottles Liquors (and Party Shop) out of the blue, like a concrete clearing with an almost angelic glow. ;) We see what must be some "regulars" sitting on the stoop outside and make our way through the front door to find a most unexpected surprise. 40s. Fridges, bins, aisles of 40s. What else is more perfect than that for KC Royals pre-gaming? Nothing, that's what. So we begin perusing the fridges to find everything you can imagine in 40 form. Including things that should never been in 40 form. Hah. And for those who are undecided from the myriad of choices, I suggest the trash bin of ice and random 40s. It's very "grab bag" russian roulette if you do it that way, but if you're going to down a 40 you might as well take the risk! By the way, my friends and I all gave the place rave reviews. It's the perfect place for bottles you need for partying. That's probably why it's called Bottles Party Shop. My friends just picked some stuff up from it the other day. I recommend you do too.

Very clean and well stocked with a lot of extras. It has a full kitchen with breakfast lunch and dinner items. They even have barbecue that's definitely not the worst I ever ate. Don't get me wrong this isn't gourmet food but were talking much better than you would think. The usual stuff rounds out the convenience store experience, liquor, bread, ice and fountain drinks. If your stopping on the way to the lake you could pick up some last minute items and get some gas. Very clean store and nice people.
